Joe Biden’s Major Gaffe at the Expense of San Francisco 49ers Fans

Vice President Joe Biden took the handoff and headed for the end zone.

Blockers in front of him, plenty of daylight, and—speaking in the friendly confines of not-so-conservative San Francisco—the VP even had the political home-field advantage.

Then Biden, just inches from paydirt, threw in a last-second juke for style points, shouting out that “the Giants are on their way to the Super Bowl.”

Fumble!

Oh no. Say it ain’t so, Joe.

Biden’s latest gaffe came during a speech yesterday in San Francisco’s financial district for President Barack Obama’s reelection bid. But even Biden’s staunchest political allies took it personally when he lauded the name of the squad their beloved 49ers will battle this Sunday for the NFC Championship.

And the Niner fans let Joe have it.

When his verbal misstep drew boos from the crowd, Biden issued a fast mea culpa, noting he’s used to talking about the San Francisco Giants’ baseball victories. (The Giants won the 2010 World Series and visited the White House last July to celebrate the victory.) Then Biden clarified that he meant to say “49ers” when referring to the team that was “on their way to the Super Bowl.”

Biden was in the Bay Area with his wife for several campaign stops. The couple was scheduled to meet with several tech leaders yesterday evening, including the heads of Apple, Google, Yahoo, Netflix and Zynga. He is scheduled to head for Reno and Los Angeles today.

  I’m convinced that Biden was a deliberate pick for VP so that he could make Obama seem smart. Unfortunately, it did not work. They both have proven to be idiots. Can’t wait for the State of the Union address. I always love watching Biden sitting behind Obama as he reads off the teleprompters.

  Biden could have made a more warmly receive comeback by explaining that if the Giants went to the SB instead of the 49ers that it would leave more time for San Franciscans to stick their pe ckers in each others a_sses. That would have brought cheers, hugs and kisses all around and they may even have given him a Harvey Milk award.

Joe finally got something right – the Giants are on the way to the Super Bowl via a victory this Sunday night against the 49ers. A “GIANT” earthquake is about to hit that city. When your boss throws a baseball like a girl, I take that back, like a baby girl, what would you expect from a duffus like Biden! When your boss can only muster a 37 at the bowling alley (kinda like the Obama economy) what can you expect from a duffus like Biden.

Only one word comes to mind, FOOL! This man has made so many stupid mistakes that it is hard to take him seriously as a Vice President. There HAS to be something wrong with his mind to have made all the mistakes and mis-speaks he has made in the past 3 1/2 years, and if he denies it, then he is just simply a fool. One has to wonder what his IQ is.

  Biden is a dolt and if you think he is the same as Dan Quayle you’re crazy. Biden is the child they used to hide away in a room. Quayle spelled one word with an Indiana way of spelling, check menus across the country in some small towns, the same spelling occurs for tomato and potato. Check it out.
