A group of Occupy San Francisco protesters took over an abandoned hotel Friday night and threw bricks and Bibles from the roof, police said.
“Once they gained access [to the hotel], some of them made it to the top of the roof and they then began to throw Bibles down at the officers,” San Francisco Police Department spokesman Carlos Manfredi, according to ABC News.
“One of our officers was struck with a brick to the chest and one of our lieutenants was struck in the hand with an object and may have damaged or even broken his hand,” he said.

The day began as a coordinated “Day of Action” targeting the city’s financial institutions, including the Federal Reserve, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and others, as part of a U.S.-wide demonstration protesting of the second anniversary of the Citizens United Supreme Court decision. Protesters chained themselves in front of banks and blocked the entrances.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, police arrested a total of 23 protesters — 19 during bank protests and four in connection with occupying the empty hotel.
Police used pepper spray and batons to take the protesters into custody. Manfredi said he did not believe any protesters were arrested in connection with assaulting either of the two injured officers, the Chronicle reported.
KRON-TV reported one of its employees “narrowly escaped injury” when one of the Bibles landed just feet away from him.

According to ABC, one of the protesters involved in the day’s demonstrations in front of a Bank of America branch was Scott Olsen, the Iraq war veteran critically injured during riots at Occupy Oakland in October.

We pick a date, we ALL call in sick, and stay sick for a week, we bring this country to it’s knees! If that does not do it, quit your jobs! How will they pay for their crimes, if they have no tax revenue? How will they control us, millions of us all at the same time?
WE CAN make a difference, WE CAN change the course away from communism, DO YOU HAVE THE GUTS to do this? What are they going to do, lock us all up for being deadbeats? There are not enough cops or jails if MILLIONS of people do this! What difference does it make anyway, you lose your job now, under our terms, or you lose your job and life later on their terms?

If you are paid by an employer, one has no control of the taxes THEY take out for you…I seem to remember the French Revolution being a bloody afair, and I said there was not need for one of those. This is a peaceful, yet EFFECTIVE means of protest. Not one drop of blood will be spilled to bring down this corrupt, illegal current gov’t we have now!
Do you think we are going to win in November, when they rig the vote? Even if it is not rigged, there are too many amoebas out there that will vote the fraud back into the WH. Maybe I am wrong on that last point – I think we have to do something now, you know, a bird in hand is worth two in the bush. If we wait until November, we add more to the debt, they add more fraudulent voters to the roles, you get the picture.
What other ideas do you all have? I am fresh out of them now…but maybe these Atlanta court cases will prove the Obama fraud, but I do not think these will go far, the DOJ and Eric the Red will see to that.

This is not a groupd of republicans, or conservatives.
Interesting on how when the Tea Party rose up, the MSM mocked the TP, called them old, called them out of touch and called them racist. Maddow, Obermean, Mathews….. called them foul names like Tea Baggers.
As soon at the OWS group reared its liberal head, the MSM (in an effort to give credibility) claimed that OWS was just like the TP.
How can you take a group you support, then compare them to a group that just months ago you ridiculed and hated, and not be a hypocrite?

the tea party movement started for the same reason. but you call the tea party movement a great thing. in reality, it was a bunch of retired people taking their social security checks and spending them in Washington as they sat on their asses. both movements suck.

I had no money for college, and there was no one going to pay my way. I joined the Army, did five years enlisted and earned a Army scholarship, along with the GI bill and college fund. Once commissioned as an officer, I fought (literally) my way to a masters degree in return for teaching at the US Military Academy.
I am no millionaire, but I paid my own way. I purchased my own vehicles, my own house, pay for my kids private school, and have way more than I need.\
My Bible promises that if I am a Chritian I will get food and clothing. Everything beyond that is all gravey, and I have plenty beyond food and clothing.
I have been to poor nations, I have seen real poverty. We do not have real poverty in the US. We have people who make bad choices and then look to the gov to take care of them
The American dream is alive, and will still flourish if we deregulate, drill our own oil, and stop bailouts of the failures.

Jan. 22, 2012 at 10:57amI ‘m over 50 and never had more than a speeding ticket. I got pulled over in my 1% car by small town cop and was told my “taillight was out”.
When I pointed to the my computer message screen on my dash that said it was working, I asked to get out, check it and take a picture with my phone. He said “stay in the car, let me see your insurance papers..and I think your taillight has dirt on it”
After he checked my “papers” he let me go…I was stopped for “fishing”, I believe it was because I looked like I could pay the fine..not once did the “cop” ever asked for my driver’s license. I could not wait to get back to my area…where we the police and our citizens respect and trust each other! Not like this small town revenue “shake down”.
So why do these OWS fools get off…cause they will make a stink, are part of the Chump in Chief cause, can’t pay the fine and are in Nancy P’s backyard San Fran!
