Carney: I Have ‘No Opinion’ About Whether or Not Senate Should Pass Budget
Video follows below.
When asked by ABC’s Jake Tapper if the senate should pass a budget, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney responded: “I don’t have — well, I don’t have an opinion to express on how the Senate does its business with regards to this issue.”
“The fact is, because of the negotiations over the debt ceiling, that resulted in the Budget Control Act, we have an unusual situation here in that the top lines for the budget going forward have already been set and agreed to by Republicans and Democrats alike,” he added.
Tapper then clarified that he was not in fact asking for Carney’s personal opinion, but rather the White House’s opinion. “The position the White House has?”
Below is the rest of the painful exchange:
Carney: Well, I don’t have –
Tapper: The White House has no opinion about whether or not the Senate should pass a budget? The president is going to produce one? The Fed says not having one is bad for growth but the White House has no opinion about whether –
Carney: I have no opinion, and the White House has no opinion on Chairman Bernanke’s assessment of how the Senate ought to do its business. What the president believes is important is that the Budget Control Act that was signed into law by him last year provides the top line spending caps for the coming budget and he will, obviously, need those when the budget is put forward and he looks forward to the Senate acting on the policy initiatives contained within his budget that will reflect the priorities he laid out in the State of the Union. And also will reflect the priorities he laid out when he put forward his deficit and debt reduction proposal back in September. So I don’t think there is any — there will be, nor is there now any doubt about the president’s view on where we ought to move with the budget.

Posted on February 8, 2012 at 8:40pmWho gives a crap about a budget of the Corporation?
They are all liars. Telling you you have a voice and representation, when they are all just Executives and employees of the corporation.
Not my freakin’ debt.
I ain’t payin’ a dime !!!!
Pound rocks !!!!!!
Confused? k. Goes like this.
the “United States” is a corporation, est. 1871, with headquarters in D.C.
Corp U.S. was broke in 1912.
It went to the Banksters (The Global Elite) for a loan.
They created a PRIVATE bank to be America’s Central bank.
In 1913, the federal reserve act was passed. Income tax began and you could no longer redeem currency for gold at the bank.
In 1933 the U.S. defaulted and declared bankruptcy.
The “Gov’t” pledged it’s BRANCHES, AGENCIES, LAND and PEOPLE as collateral on that loan, since all the Country’s gold could not pay the debt.
Birth certificates became law in all states in 1933 and Social Security in 1936.
These were security bonds for the receivers of the Bankruptcy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlCs7u1ihws
In 1944 the IMF became the receivers of the Quit claim deed.
In 1945 they formed the UN.
The UN has been running the Corp since.
Unfortunately, The UN’s IMF began Foreclosure on America in 1992 under Bushes E.O. #12804
The Infrastructure Privatization Act.
AMERICA has been for SALE Since 1992 !!!
That is the same year Agenda 21 was introduced.
The American People Have been lied to for over 80 years.

Posted on February 8, 2012 at 5:54pmCarney cannot give an opinion because he’d a party hack and can be held accountable by either his own party or the nation if he answered the question. So America’s most high profile deer in the headlights “has no opinion”. A coward’s response but that’s a liberal for you. Very simply…the democrats are afraid to put forth a budget. They have been since 2009 when they started on their orgy of spending through Barack Obama. When the country put the economy and the debt as the most important issues (and the wars could no longer be demagogued) the democrats were faced with a dilemma because they must keep spending and spending big to buy the votes they need yet behind closed doors they acknowledge that the debt is substantial and poses a serious problem for the nation. Of course there are execptions like Harry Reid and his cowboy festivals and smiling Chuck Schumer who dont’ believe there’s a problem..so spend away. So the senate democrats’ choice was do they just keep dodging a budget and demagogue the issue or actually man up and give us a budget. They’ve chosen the former. They’re cowards with an utter contempt for the American people.

Posted on February 8, 2012 at 5:30pmThere is another thing Carney said today that needs clarification. He said that Romney had the same bill mandating contraception pill for the Catholic Hospitals in Massachusetts.
FACTS ARE: The Boston Globe came out with this first in 2006, attacking Romney. Pilot Catholic News out of Boston rebuked them for constantly putting out false information about Romney. They then wrote an editorial defending Romney on this and other social issues. It was the state attorney general that told Romney, after a long battle that he would oppose Romney if he tried to kill the bill mandating contraception pills for Catholic Hospitals. Cardinal O’Malley was working with Romney through this whole process and praised him afterwards for all he could do. He said that Romney was the biggest friend to the Catholic Church of all governors in a decade and he was one of the only ones that wasn’t a Catholic. That is why the Mass Citizens for Life and the Vatican Envoy endorse Romney, for all he has done for the social issues. He has stood up against the liberals and done more for the social issues than any other candidate running, remember, there are two Catholics and the Vatican Envoy endorses Romney because of his stance on the social issues. ( http://www.pilotcatholicnews.com/article2.asp?ID=14183 )
ROMNEY IS A STRONG SOCIAL CONSERVATIVE AND PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW THAT.

Posted on February 8, 2012 at 5:43pmHe still let it happen. That was wrong, he should have vetoed the bill, shows a lack of leadership, and poor decisions. Conservatism is not a political party, it is a lifestyle based in core unwavering beliefs. If he has core conservative beliefs, his core is weak. Should have vetoed that legislation in Mass if he is a core principled conservative. Alas, he is not, he is a East Coast RINO!

Posted on February 8, 2012 at 6:08pmBYEHLIK,
He did veto the bill the legislature put in place, they overrode it. Then he attacked the portion that mandated the contraception to all hospitals. He gathered evangelical and catholic leaders to fight it, that is leadership. Romney has been pro-life throughout his life, the question comes when he said he wanted to keep government out of the decision making, much like the libertarian stance. It was in 2005 when he had a bill go across his desk that he had to make a decision, much like Reagan. Reagan actually passed it and then regretted it. Romney studied it with religious leaders and scientists and found out how much Roe v Wade ‘cheapened life.’ That is why he vetoed the ‘Plan B’ bill.
He was the biggest advocate against gay marriage as well, fighting it for three years even going so far as to sue the legislature as a private citizen with 10 other evangelical leaders, in order to force the legislature to vote on his constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.
THAT IS STRONG CORE CONVICTIONS AND A SHOW OF LEADERSHIP… he is no RINO.

That is right, before he was faced with with a bill questioning the state’s abortion stance he wasn’t as much, but that was on abortion. Romney has stayed tough and firmly against Gay Marriage in 1994, in 2002, and especially when the courts ruled that gays could marry he went on a three year battle to fight gay marriage, even going to DC to speak out against it in front of the Senate.
He has done more for the social issues than any other candidate we have, not just abortion, but traditional marriage also.
