The picture is shocking and unbelievable.

Last year, a mug shot surfaced showing a man, picked up on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute, with only half a head. It was taken by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s office:

And it’s not a hoax.

Now, the man behind the photo has surfaced again, this time explaining how he got his injury. HuffPo reports he’s popped up in a series of YouTube videos and details what he’s saying:

Answering to the name “Halfy” and smoking what looks an awful lot like a blunt, he suggests it’s best to stay off drugs.

“[I was] on drugs, I was driving, and I hit a pole, and I flew out the front window and landed on my head,” he says, turning side to side to show off a flattened skull. “That’s why it’s no good, drinking and driving or drug — drugness and driving. No good, kids. No good.” [Emphasis added]

“Halfy,” who has been identified variously as Carlos Sosa or Carlos Rodriguez, then alleges the president of the United States uses drugs, affirms his love of large women, and makes several sexually explicit remarks. In a second video, he again smokes what appears to be a blunt as the narrator laughingly says, “Hello, world, I want y’all to meet Halfy…he’s kind of famous already.”

The Miami New Times first came across the video and posted it yesterday. You can watch it below, but warning, it contains graphic language and sexual content:

“Halfy,” however, isn’t the only man with such a distinguishing injury. According to (The Sun), the UK’s Alan Hind suffered a fall that left him with a similar appearance:
