CNN Presses Reid on Whether Congress’ Low Approval Rating is Really All the GOP’s Fault
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union“ Sunday, where he discussed Congress’ embarrassingly low approval ratings among the American people.
According to CNN, Congress has an overall approval rating of a mere 10%, and a disapproval rating of 82%.
When asked if he thinks he’ll hang on to the majority in the Senate in light of these numbers, Reid replied, “If they had polled me I would have been with the majority here. I think Congress looks bad; I think the obstructionism we’ve had…has turned the American people. What the Republicans have done, stopping us from doing the most simple things…”
But at this point, CNN’s Candy Crowley interrupted him with the question, “Is it all their fault?”
Reid continued by bemoaning Republican tactics, asking, “why does everything have to be fight?” But Crowley pressed him again, asking, “Is there nothing that the Democrats are doing to add to this?”
Sen. Reid proceeded to lament on the difficulty of confirming federal judges, but once again failed to answer the question head-on. Watch the full clip below, courtesy of Mediaite:
Reid, who hates how everything has become a fight, has in the past claimed that Republicans want to put arsenic and mercury in the drinking water:

I guess this video lays to rest any questions as to where our President stands on religion.
This is a video that Sean Hannity of FOX News has been trying to show that has consistently been blocked by the Obama Administration for several weeks.
Watch it now before it gets pulled from the internet!

Ever see a third grader argue their reasoning for stealing something?
It was ALL their fault (pointing to an accomplice)! I didn’t do anything. It’s ALL their fault. I was just there. I had nothing to do with it.
A stupid child, like Harry represents in this analogy, will never accept any culpability for their incredibly poor judgement. In this case, the poor judgement “IS” criminal and reckless, IMHBLO.
And Harry “IS” the ring leader.

Posted on March 11, 2012 at 7:57pmExactly. As far as I can tell, the Republicans in the house are doing their job. It’s prince Harry himself who is 100% to blame for the state of things. He just tables any legislation the house sends over and makes sure it never sees a vote. When a leftist says “obstruction” they really mean “not bending over and just doing what we want”. It’s sad that everyone on the left these days is now to dumb to be considered human. The real tragedy is that in spite of having levels of intelligence far lower than an inanimate object, they manage to mimic our language and convince us they’re people.

Posted on March 11, 2012 at 5:43pmSorry harry, but you couldn’t be more wrong, and I’m pretty sure not even you believe the crap that you just spewed.
An unprecedented number of conservatives were elected in the last mid term election specifically to put the brakes on the democratic congress running roughshod over the constitution and to restore some sanity. The only reason approval ratings continue to plummet is because the democrats still control the senate and refuse to allow anything sane to happen while continuing to try to push their socialist agenda.
The democratic congress never once even presented a budget for a vote going all the way back to bush, which is why we have been in the never ending cycle of voting on short term continuing resolutions and nearly monthly debt ceiling limit increases. They are trying to push back a determination on the constitutionality of the obamacare law until after the next election. If anyone is being obstructionist it’s liberals.

Posted on March 11, 2012 at 5:40pmReid dares speak of obstructionism? That in itself is a laugh considering how many bills he has allowed to hit the floor. Oops, excuse me, I meant to say how many he has obstructed from going to the floor. Can’t help but remember when the Republicans had both sides of congress it was the dems who lauded themselves for obstructing and blocking the Republicans. But, in the same breath I have to admit that they were giving away the budget faster than drunken sailors on liberty and needed to be stopped. We have to keep this in mind during the next election. Kick the Dems out, and also the all of the RINOs too.

It is bipartisan if ONE republican votes for it, Thank you Snowe, Collins and Murkowski.
But if 11 Democrats vote for a bill like perhaps Keystone pipeline it is not mentioned by Brian Williams at NBC AT ALL.
It is a “judicious moderate” if a Republican supports democrat legislation. It is radical if they vote with the values of their party.
I’m with you, I’m sick of it and while a few years ago I would have wanted them to “work together” the democrats will do nothing that would reduce spending, government, reform taxes or strengthen our defense. So at this point I want both the house and senate and a president who will not veto conservative legislation, virtually anyone but Obama. And steamroller their sorry asses.

They could have pushed him but they didn’t. Not unexpected…ask the hard questions to look like they are being tough on the Progressives, but Reid knows ahead of time the questions and already has his response ready. Great theatre but not news. Playing to the viewers.

He’s the guy that has blocked virtually many bills from the Republican House with a “Dead on Arrival” statement, but noooo, he’s NOT part of the fight. He’s violated the mandatory requirement of having a budget for over 3 years now. He re-wrote the rules and bribed other senators (Ben Nelson and Claire Mccaskill) to pass a bill that most Senators hadn’t even read.
