Atheists Talk Christianity, Obama & Religion at Reason Rally | The Blaze Compilation Do you really want to know what atheists think about Christianity in America? How about President Obama’s handling of faith issues? In our new video compilation, “This Is What an Atheist Looks Like!,” we’ll show you, in non-believers’ own words, what they think about the concept of God, Christianity, their role in the political system and plenty more.

As we’ve reported, over the weekend thousands of non-theists graced Washington, D.C. with a fierce and boisterous presence. The Blaze was on hand to bring you the inside scoop. Along the way, we met anti-religious persons of all stripes at a secular lobbying training event and during the Reason Rally.

Atheists Talk Christianity, Obama & Religion at Reason Rally | The Blaze Compilation From insanely inappropriate language about faith and religion to respectful disagreement, the “freethinkers” we encountered were diverse in terms of tactics and tone. Their main points of agreement with one another? There’s no God, no afterlife and absolutely no room for belief in the “supernatural.”

We decided to ask numerous leaders in the atheist movement and Reason Rally attendees four key questions:

What brings you to Reason Rally?
If you could deliver any message to Christians in America, what would it be?
If you could condense Christianity into one or two words, what would they be?
How has President Barack Obama handled the secular community in America?

From insightful to down-right-bizarre, the atheistic responses we gathered were intriguing to say the least. One woman said, ”Get your religion out of my girl panties.” Another claimed that Christianity can best be framed as “ignorant.” James Randi, a well-known magician and one of the event speakers, told The Blaze that Christians should “grow up” and that any religious person is essentially living in the “14th century.”

Here are a few of the other labels given to Christianity: “Irrational,” “false dogma,” “mass cult,” “anti-intellectualism,” “popular,” “clusterf**k,” “authoritarian,” “paternalistic” and “overwhelmingly fundamentalist.”

They are masters in deception and tyranny. After all their father is the devil.

The very term “freedom from religion” reflects their deception and tyranny.

Since atheists are not that smart I explain. By claiming “freedom from religion”, they use the term “freedom” to make people believe they actually have freedom in mind. Throw in the term “from religion”, they want to forbid religion.

You want to go to hell? then go. I care less and less about that. But at least give your children ALL the information so they can make an informed decision without having been poisoned by your hatred.

They call themselves intellectuals and educated. Please….., give me a break.

Just with that, you can see their ignorance.

They say they don’t need a god. Yet, have made Darwin their god and science their religion. And with that They have closed their mind.

I am sure there are many people here who can relate to the feelings of anger and pity.

Anger for what they do to their children.

Pity, for what they are doing to themselves.

These fools do not know that they are only useful idiots advancing satans work.

May God have mercy on them. And forgive us our anger.

God, it becomes harder and harder to not hate our enemy. But I understand that by giving into the anger we will become just like them. Please God, protect your children, the little ones and the big ones.
Lord, especially the children of these people.

  So your study says that adolescents, and young people or your ilk, tend to have slightly higher IQ scores. (I would counter that because atheists make up such a small percentage of the total population, the results are skewed due to some more than obvious demographics being involved).
  
  But even ignoring that, did you know that those with higher IQ’s are often lacking in the ability to think logically or rationally?

These people probably think they have real courage and must be so proud of themselves.

Why don’t they demonstrate for something real worthwhile. Like, oh I don’t know, maybe Islamic terrorism?

Why don’t they use their time for others, like helping in a soup kitchen.
They have no idea what damage they cause. They rather live under rights and freedoms given by men, who can take them away at any moment, then by God, who will honour our freedom. It is never God who takes away rights and freedom. It is always men. Usually people like Qaddafi, Hitler, Pol Pot, Castro, Chavez etc.etc.

It is the foolishness of men that leads to destruction. But they in their stupidity don’t even understand, that the freedom to have tamper tantrums was given to them by REAL men with REAL courage. Men, who believed that only God gives freedom. And when you keep that in mind God will honour that.

These men and women are clowns. Just look at them.

What honor do atheists have? None!

What freedoms do atheists give? None!

What wisdom do atheists have? None!

What tolerance do atheists have? None!

They lie everyday. Just watch their news and read their newspapers. And why not? They don’t have any standards. They think they do. Not realizing that every law, every act of kindness, every act of bravery, every rule we live by has it’s origin in the God of the Bible. But in their arrogance they actually believe that they themselves came up with these things.

These people are so far out of touch with reailty of the real world you live in.Does not matter if your an atheist or not when reailty comes at your door.The fact is Judeo christian beliefs built the government they currently live in and make the desicions that go on in the world.Fact is Islamic and atheist and secular world views built every government that is agaisnt Judeo christian values.Not a joke in the real world.

I went to fast and made to many typos. Let me correct that: Any god that doesn’t send the likes of Hitler to hell is unjust? Had Hitler repented, he would enter heaven, yet many of those he had exterminated would go to hell. All that’s required for eternal bliss is to kneel before your god, ones life and deeds irrelevant. Thats my understanding of it, and its insane. What of the people in remote regions of the world who have never been exposed to the gospel, and die without ever hearing the name of Jesus Christ? They deserve hell for being born into the wrong culture/religion? Christianity doesn’t fit well with ones society and cultural lifestyle/norms/mores/taboos etc, and thus Christianity fails to flourish there. They are at fault for continuing their traditions? Your god is said to be omniscient and omnipresent, so by creating Adam and Eve he understood that they’d become fallen, and that humanity would be damned. How cruel and despicable of you god, the dictator, the despot, the egotistical thing… Bow down to me, and worship my almighty power, or go to hell. He knew what would happen, he knew before you were born that you’d not repent, or not be exposed to the gospel, thus damning you to hell for eternity. He doesn’t care. The child who perishes, and goes to hell, while the mother weeps in heaven at the thought of her child forever gone. Heaven sounds like hell. A creed of cruelty is all I see.

  Yes, Jesus says, nobody comes to the Father but by me. However, our God is a God of mercy and grace. And when you seek the light of God He will reveal Himself to you. God will judge you by the truth that is in you. I agree it would be a terrible God to send people to hell just because they never heard the name of Jesus Christ. God has many means of revealing Himself to you. One is your conscience. The very fact that you are able to differentiate between good and evil is because of God. And then there is nature. To think that apples, fish, tulips, oak trees and monkeys all come from the same primordial soup is beyond any reasoning.
  
  We live by a justice system while on earth. Hitler and others are judged by that. God gave us laws for this life. And He has also laws for the afterlife. Jesus took your sin unto Himself, to fulfill the requirements for that which is yours to pay.
  
  It is absolutely irrational to reject something that has been given so freely and with such love and humility. Nothing is more humiliating then to hang naked on a cross.
  
  I don’t understand why atheists are so dishonest and not just say they don’t want God. You hide behind science to justify your rejection of God. But then, cowards usually hide their true motives.
  
  God knows your heart. He knows whether you hate Him, are indifferent to Him or are seeking Him.

Their fight isn’t against religion but the christian faith. Their own platform bears witness to this.
No mention of the extremist dogma of Islam, Interesting, Since Islam has been responsible for most of the violence in the world over the last 20 years.

Just one HUGE problem for atheists… they cannot explain where information comes from. There are three major entities in the universe; matter, energy, and information. Information is composed of a message and receiver. It is acted upon. The most complex patterns that occur in nature do not contain a message. it is only when intelligence codes matter and energy to tell a message that information is achieved. There is no evidence that information has ever been created by “chance” in nature. All information was created by some form of intelligence. DNA contains complex information (code), therefore life must have been created by some form of intelligence.
All of the new scientific discovery is pointing toward intelligent design, the atheists however choose to cling to the old outdated science while claiming superior intelligence.
I challenge all who wish to know more to research what science is discovering in DNA study and astronomy. Time to remove the blinders.

In my lifetime I have know a handful of people who consider themselves atheist. They are mild manner people who don’t give a darn whether or not you yourself believe or not. They just go about their lives and only bring it up when asked.

This group are a bunch of “look at me!” idiots who don’t deserve a moment of our time!

Sorry, but when we get rid of religion, within a few years we will have a population made up of garbage like these people. There’s no way around it. Whether you believe in Jesus Christ or not, he left a world behind him that is far better than if He and his Father had not existed. Look at those parts of the world that have never been touched by Christianity or Judism. Where would you rather live?

Atheist..??? well I was one at some point in My life, but these people are just crazy..I was raised under communism but My parents still managed to sneak Me and My sister to church..I didn’t like it ..being a rebellious kid..Then I had the fortune of 1 in million to arrive in the US..Life did change for Me as well as My beliefs ..While I still believe in science and evolution I came to realize that had to be a starting point to all of this..a so called Intelligent design..No scientist can ever explain the ‘Begining” ..call it big bang if You will but what or Who caused it?

  Why does the universe have to have an actual beginning given that we don’t know if causality even applies to the universe as a whole? Time, causality, affects matter and energy in the universe but not necessarily the universe itself.

All I see is naught but pure condescension from the commenters, who are the reason there was a Reason Rally in the first place. The constant assertion from bigots as yourself that atheists are amoral, evil, possessed, w/o love and in a pit of despair is exactly why more atheists are vehemently speaking out against religion once and for all. Religion and its adherents deserve have earned no respect. I am not remotely religious and I expect nothing after death, so according to you that steals hope and happiness from humanity? I can be spiritual, and am most content when in nature, and the realization that this life is all I have makes it all the more beautiful. The idea that what we do now has no meaning because it doesn’t last forever is absolutely absurd and moronic.

If I seriously believed that GOD did not exist, it would not be worth it to even be an atheist. Put another way, I have no interest in MLB. It means nothing to me. It is like it does not exist. The belief that there was nothing and nothing happened to nothing
and then nothing magically exploded for no reason, creating everything and then
a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason what so ever into self-replicating
bits which then turned into dinosaurs.
