Parents Of Murdered British Students Criticize President Obama’s Silence
Why did President Obama speak up about the Trayvon Martin case, but he has remained silent about last year’s brutal killing of two British students who were vacationing in Florida? That’s what the parents of James Cooper and James Kouzaris are wondering.

Almost a year ago, Cooper and Kouzaris were shot in cold blood by 17-yr-old Shawn Tyson despite begging for their lives. Tyson killed them anyway, and yesterday he was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison.
The parents of the victims have been writing to the President in hopes of receiving some form of condolence or acknowledgment. They have heard nothing. In fact, the father of James Kouzaris penned three letters that have gone unanswered.
Shawn Tyson
Paul Davies and Joe Hallett, two friends of the murdered students, witnessed the trial and also made statements to the court prior to Tyson’s sentencing.
The UK Telegraph reports that Mr. Davies was not pleased with the lack of attention to this case;
“We would like to publicly express our dissatisfaction at the lack of any public or private message of support or condolence from any American governing body or indeed, President Obama himself.
“It would perhaps appear that Mr Obama sees no political value in facilitating such a request or that the lives of two British tourists are not worthy of ten minutes of his time.”
It should be noted that the victims are not American citizens. However, considering the “special relationship” with Britain, it would seem a simple note of acknowledgement wouldn’t be a hard gesture.

Every day in America senseless killings occur and to single out one specific case and personalize it “if I had a son he would look like Trayvon” is not the job of the President. President Obama is also George Zimmermans President and whether he intended it or not his comment elicits and emotional reaction in people and influences the way that they view this incident. We are in desperate need of grownups in the White House. I am so disappointed in Obama and Eric Holder and the “Just-us Department”

If we are the employers and the masters of our congressmen, senators, and all elected officials; then if they proclaim something to be what we all stand for and we do not approve of it, then they are just a guilty of misrepresenting the facts as a service member claiming to speak for the entire DOD or an employee speaking on behalf of a business. Obama should have never said anything about the Trayvon case and if you think like I do, he should have never held any public office EVER.

There is tons of black on black violance and black on white violance but dear god!! If a black person guns down two white guys begging for their life it’s no big deal. This will some how get turned around and this killer will end up being a victim. Like all other blacks incarcerated, no they did nothing to get there.

No it’s not a crime to be white, if it was I’d be in jail.
This case is different from Treyvon’s because Treyvon’s killer is running around free – unlike these poor British boys whose killer is in jail for life.
And I don’t imagine it getting turned down ever on account of it happened two years ago and the murderer is in jail.
You do have an excellent imagination though, I’ll give you that.

Every day I drive through, and have work in, the subject neighborhood for over 9 years.
The only things illuminating the neighborhood are hate, self pitty and suspicion, because that’s all they want to seem to see.
Those social personalities emanate on every corner
The older seem oblivious to the younger, and visa versa.
It’s as if they were given a ‘get out of jail free’ card when Barry Soetoro was elected.
The contributors to the situation want it that way, to ensure the continuation of power over the ignorant and indoctrinated.
The real problem is, when the people in this situation are told the truth, they don’t believe it, then they demand more from the people who encourage hate, which just enflames the situation into even more distain.
It’s the vicious cycle Jessy Jackson, Al Sharpton, Shelia Jackson Lee, Barry Soetoro and other haters must maintain, because they know nothing else, and because they don’t give a phuque about this country’s future, it’s people, or the American’s exceptionalism.

It shows that his loyallty is one sided. But he went a step futher than that. He equated Treyvon to his own son. That was truly beneath the office of the leader of the free world.

This was a tragic, but nevertheless simple, criminal case. I don’t think the perp shot them because they were British, but rather easy targets. Perhaps we should have another government agency that scours the news for reports of crime victims so that we can send them all a suitable for framing condolence note from the President. If they are a foreign national, we may want to include a letter from the Secretary of State as well.
