Fox News Has Already Identified the ‘Mole’ Spilling Info to the Website ‘Gawker’

On Tuesday, the website Gawker made headlines when it claimed it had a “mole” inside Fox News that was going to start feeding the site seedy details about the news juggernaut by way of a regular column. Just one day later, Fox has said it has identified the mole and is seeking legal action.

That was quick.

A Fox spokesperson told the media insider site Mediaite that “We found the person and we’re exploring legal options at this time.â€

However, the “mole” tells Gawker if that’s the case, it’s news to the mole:

So Fox’s PR team has been telling people that they have “found” me and are presently “exploring legal options.” If Fox has smoked me out, it’s news to me. I’m still here. Back to work.

The spokesperson responded to Mediaite: “We know who it is.â€

As Mediaite points out, the spokesperson never initially claimed Fox had confronted the person, just that it know who the mole was.

That could mean the insider dispatches are coming to an end. But it’s not like the first one was a bombshell anyway. The mole’s first column leaked behind-the-scenes footage of Mitt Romney talking with Sean Hannity before an interview. The scandalous topics? Romney’s horses and Hannity’s decision to change ties during a break.

This is a breaking story. Updates will be added.

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

What exactly is this mole going to expose? The fact that FOX has jumped to conclusions along with black America and already condemned Zimmerman? That FOX has done everything in it’s power to promote RINO Mitt Romney over truly conservative candidates?

FOXNEWS is not what it once was. It is now no different than any other elite media outlet. No? Listen to Bill O’Reilly refer to obama and pelosi as “Left leaning” or his support of unions. What happened to Judge Napolitano? Too conservative? Too much truth? You bet your a$$.

Fox News as been blatantly anti-Romney since 2007. Namely Carl Cameron, who finds a way to spin everything to make Romney sound bad. It was much worse last cycle, but it is still absurd to infer that they are pushing Romney in any way.

You goofy Paul supporters will never get anywhere if you don’t operate in the realm of reality.

fox news never jumped to any conclusions regarding Zimmerman. They are the only ones who gave Zimmerman the slightest benefit of the doubt. As for Mitt Romney being a RINO grow up, he is the most conservative man who can be elected. For better or worse this is not the 50′s anymore.

I do think Fox has bowed to the liberals but I don’t think they are really sure who they are for. They have just helped the Republican party destroy it’s self. They participated in the whole process and took as much delight in it as the other networks.

@Freedom, Ron Paul is THE only viable candidate. Tell me, what corporate funding does he have? How come the media doesn’t attack him to prove he is not viable? Oh, that’s right. There is nothing in his record that can be used against him. And don’t even make the Israel argument. He wants to cut all funding, and since the muslim brotherhood currently gets way more money than Israel does, that would be the most beneficial thing for Israel. Let Israel do what it needs to do for its own survival. Yes, it is time for us to get out of Israel’s way and let them kick some islamo-terror monkey a$$.

As for your lib on the Five, (Bob Beckel) he’s messed up on his views, but he is a cut above the rest too and I can’t imagine him putting his reputation in jeopardy like that either. Sometimes these moles become Cancerous and then you really have a problem on your hands or face as it were. So it’s best sometime to remove them. They have a tendency to make you look bad if they are in the wrong spot, such as on the side of your nose. People start describing you based on what the mole makes your appearance out to be. I’m glad Fox got rid of it and hope they will keep vigilant about any others that may be hiding somewhere, not so easily discernable, perhaps on one of the buttocks.

Sorry Fx has to go overboard on the “fair and Balanced” If I have to listen let alone see Sally (the looks like a guy wannabe ) I get sick. The latest one is Jesse Jackson’s daughter after hearing her yesterday I find her to be very “Racial” in her tone and comments. And I don’t give a care that her religious brothers have degrees from Northwestern etc. So they got profiled big deal. My white 65yr old husband got yelled at last week for wearing a Hoodie. If she’s related to Jesse she’s influenced by him and all the others like him. Sharpton and Wright and Faracahn. They needed to actually work and earn a paycheck for the last years instead of living like kings on black peoples tithes.

I wasted time reading the “Gawker hot news” from the mole. What a whiny little nobody wrote that! The first column is pirated footage of Romney and Hannity before they go on the air. They are acting like perfectly normal people- truly NOTHING to see here, although the “mole” tries to gin up some elitism out of a regular conversation about horses.

The elitist “spin” of the article is then belied by Romney commenting on the relatively inexpensive hotel they are staying in so his campaign has more for the business of campaigning. Gee, wouldn’t it be nice if somebody ran the government that way?

The next column whines about the bathrooms at Fox and despite trying to gin the elitism in the first column, inadvertantly makes him or herself look ridiculous by saying O’Reilly uses the same one as everyone else. Sounds very elitist wannabe. Dumb and dumber for the first two columns. Yawn.

I vote Shepherd Smith, he is just as dense as Combs and definitely has a liberal streak. I hope they get rid of him either way. When he is on I think I am looking at community college television.

      @Delinski,

      I agree…….I don’t like Shemp either.

No, I think the mole is a new hire. Probably some low level, off screen wonk.

GONZO, I agree with you, but it wouldn’t bother me to see Shemp go anyway. His voice and attitudes make me think of nails on a chalkboard, much like Wasserman-Schultz.

I wonder if “Gawker” is planning on hiring this broad for the rest of her life, because I doubt anyone else is going to hire a known liar.
