Teen Atheist Behind Prayer Mural Ban Threatened with Rape: ‘We Will Get You — Look Out!’

Teen Atheist Jessica Ahlquist Receives Letter Threatening Rape & Physical Danger: We Will Get You Look Out!

Teen atheist Jessica Ahlquist

Jessica Ahlquist, the 16-year-old atheist who made national headlines after winning a battle to have a prayer mural removed from her high school in Cranston, Rhode Island, continues to receive threatening messages. But the latest letter to arrive at her home would make even the bravest individual quiver.

The message within it gives Ahlquist, who has been praised by church-state separatists but derided by those who supported the presence of the banner at Cranston High School West, legitimate reason to fear for her safety. The writer references rape and pledges to “get her.” The disturbing message also makes a point to note the teen’s relatives, including her sister and father, and advises that her sister “watch her back.”

Ahlquist originally shared the note on Twitter along with the hashtag #christianlove. Of course, there’s no way of telling if the note came from a Christian — or even if the threats are credible. Police, though, are reportedly investigating. Here’s a screen shot of the tweet (via the Friendly Atheist):

Teen Atheist Jessica Ahlquist Receives Letter Threatening Rape & Physical Danger: We Will Get You Look Out!

“The cops will not watch you forever,” the letter begins. “We will get you good.”

The note concludes with some startlingly strong and threatening language against Ahlquist.

“Get the f**k out of R.I. you bitchin whore. You are nothing more than a sex-toy of a slut,” the text reads. “Maybe you will gang-banged before we throw you out of one of our cars. We will get you — look out!”

So far, Ahlquist hasn’t responded to local outlets seeking comment.

amen. read about the angel thrusting its sickle to the earth and then read the harvest of the wheat and tares, or the separation of the sheep from the Goats. so…what do you think that will actually look like, if we are discussing ideologies, not physical things????? he who has an ear, let him hear…for he comes quickly, and his reward is with him to give each according to their works!

If that is a reference to Columbine, it is a myth…

“In the months following the shooting, considerable attention was focused on Cassie Bernall, who was reported to have been asked “Do you believe in God?” by one of the shooters, and to have responded “Yes” before being killed. Valeen Schnurr claims that this exchange was with her, and Emily Wyant, the only living witness to Bernall’s death, confirms that Bernall did not have this discussion…The official investigation attributed the statement to survivor Valeen Schnurr…”

      Also…

“Schnurr, who had been hurt badly, began to cry out at that point, “Oh, God help me!” Klebold went back to her and asked her if she believed in God. She floundered in her answer, saying no and then yes, trying to get the answer “right.” He asked her why; she said it was because it was what her family believed. He taunted her, reloaded his shotgun, then walked away.”

While I do not agree with the so called separation of church and state stance as it is nowere in the Constitution. The letter written to this child is disgusting.

To further my point about the false interpretation pf separation of church and state. The first amendment only says that Congress cannot establish it’s own church. Nothing about a cross on public land or in a school or in a public building. A cross in itself is not a religion. Since there are several different Christian religions. I would ask what Christian religion would a cross be promoting?

That child was misguided in what she did. Taught by ignorant people. But she does not deserve such a letter.

How does anyone know she is telling the truth? Does she miss the limelight and got someone to print that threat? Will she swear on the bible that she was threatened with rape, or was it one of those, we will get you, a philosophical threat kind of like , we will get you to change you atheistic world view…
Maybe if it is true, we should pray for her, oh no, never mind she doesn’t believe in the power of prayer…

So you think an atheist is absolutely, without question, a totally honest person? There is not a ting of doubt that she could have written it? Or are you so morally right, that you know a Christian wrote it?

So, “fighting back” means raping someone.

      Got it.

So, for all those saying, “Christians wouldn’t do this, it has to be a hoax,” here is the proof Christians would do it.

Show me the proof where she didn’t write it herself. The problem is you can’t. Nobody is saying this girls should be raped or deserves to be raped, what they are saying that it is possible she wrote it herself, seeking attention again. We may never know. If she did not, then I hope they find out who did and make charges accordingly.

so by saying the banner offended her…she threatened physical violence???? are you insane? She had a right to complain about the banner (I take no offense to it. I am christian. I do not believe it should have been removed to please one person, but that is the point at hand. if the left so truly believes in direct democracy…why wasn’t a poll taken of all in the sight of this banner?) but to threaten violence moves into criminal activity. huge difference!

This is not right by any means… Instead of saying she brought this on herself we should be angry and outraged that anyone would threaten her this way. She has a right to believe any way she wants without being attacked this way. Do I like what happened? No!!! But you do not threaten someone like this.. I will pray for this young lady that the threats do not come true and that she does find GOD and JESUS in this life. Christians are not hateful people!!!

Why do Atheist when they see a prayer or anything about God act like religion is being forced on them? They are in a (used to be) free country and they have a choice to either believe or not. No one is forcing them to look at a mural or say the word “Under God” as in the Pledge of allegiance, so why force the rest of us to go without those things? Tolerence used to be a two-way street, I don’t remember it being changed to a one-way!

She is an attention seeker. I would not be surprised if she wrote the letter to herself. Or, maybe the same group of rotting athiests that compelled her to infringe on the rights of others sent it to her so she can further smear the name of God. Regardless, she and others like her have alot more to fear than people.

So this little self centered witch costs the tax payers of her town $173,000 to the ACLU who found an illiterate Judge who thinks there is sep between church and state? which part of the prayer does she disagree with?
Grant us each day the desire to do our best, to grow mentally and morally as well as physically.
To be kind and helpful to our classmates and teachers.
To be honest with ourselves as well as with others.
Help us to be good sports and smile when we lose as well as when we win.
