Golf Caddie Takes on Live Adult Alligator
Golfer Brian Gay might have just found the one caddie who could pull double duty as a bodyguard. While trying to hit a ball at the PGA’s 2012 RBC Heritage event on Hilton Island, Gay found his path blocked by, of all things, an adult alligator lounging on the edge of the water. Gay quickly backed off in defeat, but his caddie Kip Henley wasn’t ready to let the gator get in his boss’s way as easily as that.
Without missing a beat, Henley picked up a bunker rake and started using it to prod the alligator back in the water. The massive reptile obeyed with minimal resistance, even as the crowd gasped. Watch this moment of extreme courage below:

Posted on April 14, 2012 at 8:41amThat was probably a tough shot for Brian Gay. Not so easy to stay focused and block out the fact that there is a freaking alligator in the pond behind him!

Posted on April 14, 2012 at 7:18amI remember a story about a missing golfer in Florida. They found his golf bag by the edge of the water on a fairway. A large alligator living in the pond was shot and when they opened the alligator up they found the golfer in several pieces.

Posted on April 14, 2012 at 1:12amKudos Kip and thanks to Mytheos Holt & TheBlaze for showing a little love to us caddies! I caddy there full time and have had to chase them away on #4, #6, especially the par 3 #7, #10, as well as the ones on #15. And for all you tourists……take all the pictures you want but PLEASE do not feed them.

Posted on April 14, 2012 at 1:02amGators are socialists lizards …
They know they can snap a hull just enough to sink the boat, cut a calf in half, eat the best half, and drag the rest to the bottom so nothing else can eat it and silence a barking dog in less then five seconds.
Only after a 30-06 is planted in their pea brain, their hide becomes a pair of boots and their meat is dropped into a deep fryer, do they become capitalists …

Posted on April 14, 2012 at 12:39amJust as long as you don’t let em latch on to you in the water, you’re good to go. Most of the time on land they’ll just snap at you and twist a little. I’ve caught a few of them, live and expired…all legal of course!
