New Video: Former Child Stars Hit Kirk Cameron for Gay Comments
Former child stars have banded together to denounce actor Kirk Cameron’s views on homosexuality after he called it “unnatural” and “destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization.”
Calling themselves “Child Celebrities Opposing Kirk Cameron” — “CCOKC” for short — the group filmed a spoof public service announcement challenging the former “Growing Pains” teen idol to “name one thing homosexuals have done to hurt him, his community or civilization as a whole.”
The video, posted this week on the website Funny or Die, features seven former child stars from the 1980s and 1990s, including Kenn Michael from “The Parent ‘Hood,” Maureen Flannigan from “Out of this World” and Christine Lakin from “Step By Step.”
“Together we’re pledging to raise awareness about a serious threat to our civil rights — Kirk Cameron’s stupid opinions,” they say in the 2-minute clip.
“We’ve met Kirk and he’s a very pleasant guy,” the actors add. “The problem, is he’s one of us and he should know better.”
According to ABC News, Cameron’s representatives have seen the video but declined to comment on it.
Cameron made his initial comments last month on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight.” He has since responded to the backlash, defending his views as a “Bible-believing Christian.”

I mean really, they are barking up the wrong tree because when millions of people are homeless, and even others broke, it won’t matter who has control over resources because there will be no one to sell it to. Seriously, there are more bubbles yet to break in America, in Europe, and a big old bubble in China, and China has propped up many financial systems and therefore when China tumbles, then Europe will even tumble farther than they have fallen thus far, because China is embedded in their financial system too. Maybe people can just give gas away for free, but I don’t think no profit will drive production.

I don’t recognize any of their names. I haven’t watched sitcoms since maybe… Welcome Back, Kotter? I stopped watching those shows… seems like Hollywood can’t think of any new ideas… I start watching a show and think, “This show is the same as a lot of other shows I’ve already seen.” It’s the same for everyone else, right? We can usually figure out the story just by watching the first few minutes. Hollywood isn’t as creative as they think they are… they’re BOOORRRING.

Back on subject, I really don’t know who this Kirk Cameron guy is. I looked him up in Wikipedia and his tv/film career is unimpressive and utterly lethargic. I can’t recall seeing anything he was in let alone care to see it. Why is he even a topic of discussion?
Oh wait, I do remember seeing him before in a video of Ray Comfort making an idiot out of himself… Nuff said.

What amazes me is any idiot who thinks Cameron having an opinion they disagree with is somehow threatening to anyone’s civil liberties. Cameron didn’t advocate to harm gays or to take away any rights whatsoever. He merely voiced his opinion of the lifestyle based on his religious beliefs. Oh, the horror.
As a gay man, I don’t expect anyone to embrace me or how I live my life, just as I don’t embrace the way many others live theirs. I do, however, expect tolerance, just as I tolerate those with different opinions, even when they are ridiculous like just about every progressive idea ever. When these morons get up in arms over Kirk’s comments they are doing exactly what they are accusing him of, being intolerant of another’s viewpoints and way of life.

That is one way that Homosexuality destroys what God intends for us to use as a way to better understand Him and our relationship with His Son.

Second; Homosexuality is just one of many “lifestyle” choices that separate us from God. I doubt that many thieves are praising and lifting up the name of God as they are breaking into a strangers house. The same is true about Homosexual behavior, murder, adultery, etc. All are “lifestyle” choices that we choose over the Christ Lifestyle God intends for us. Jesus doesn’t want to be just one of your lifestyle choices on your list of ten lifestyle choices. He wants to be number one on a list of one.
The Christ lifestyle involves a true loving relationship unlike anything else the world offers. Satan doesn’t want you in that relationship so he mis-charachtorizes it as hate, intolerance, bigoted, and homophobic. Those of us who have entered the Christ Lifestyle relationship are sometimes all these bad things, but the Christ that we are in a relationship is not.
Who is the hater? The one that would blind you to the love of Christ.

What he and the child-star are not right about is attacking the christian message because they don’t like the foundation of Christianity. We’re all sinners in need of a Savior. Why didn’t they ask Cameron about adultery? Lying? Stealing? Because those things don’t cause a firestorm and get a person blackballed.

He is entitled to his faith, his opinons, his beliefs and he has honestly shared them, those beliefs that are held by the majority of Americans.
The unfamiliar child actors who continue to feel condemation for what they believe, is not receving it from Kirk. We all have fallen short, you commit one sin, you commit them all. Kirk’s message is about God’s love, redemption, forgiveness, becoming a new person in Christ. What the child stars are feeling is self condemnation when ever someone talks about their own personal walk in life. I think that is what is called a conscience-striken.

Posted on April 14, 2012 at 11:42amSo ironic that in a video to challenge Kirk Cameron for saying that homosexuality is destructive to civilization, the former child actors are vulgar and actually destructive to civilization. At least destructive to a civilized society. Fits perfectly into a Progressive/Marxist society, which is of course, destructive to it’s very core. Whether they are gay or not, isn’t an issue, but it REALLY does not help their cause.

They have positioned themselves as mainstream by co-opting every strategy that would truly show how bad they are in this situation. The only thing one can do is totally withdraw or ignore them. Some say, pay them no mind. Kirk would be better off not even giving the subject the time of day. We know what the real world should look like.

Therefore, if one accepts that premise, homosexuality is unnatural and hurts civilization by going in the opposite direction of “the nature order” of things. That is why it is unnatural and why it is destructive to the very foundations of human civilization. Makes perfect sense to me!

Posted on April 14, 2012 at 12:16pm@Vladia those 3% are getting 95% of media time, airing their perversions with the intent of justifying their choice of unnatural behavior in order to alleviate the guilt they feel for behaving in such manner and trying to indoctrinate kids into believing that this sexual deviancy is an ok lifestyle though it is really full of disease and depression. So yeah, that’s pretty damn destructive to anyone who has to deal with it.

They will be raised to think having sex with two males or females is NATURAL and OKAY. If it was a problem for God in Biblical times, it will be a problem for God for all time. He destroyed man once for those actions, but he made a covenant that he would not do it again. Rather he sent his only son to save us from our sins, because he recognized we aren’t perfect and will never be perfect. However, to have ever lasting life with God, you must believe in Jesus AND REPENT YOUR SINS. Now it is okay that you don’t believe, I don’t want to force my beliefs on you, but I would pray one day you see the light rather live in the dark.
Lets take God out of the argument for the moment; For the anatomy we have, how was it originally intended? The intent was for man to impregnate woman in order to have children; to populate the earth; so they can create generation after generation. Now tell me how two males can procreate and one get pregnant without outside help? They can’t, so it is NOT NATURAL. Tell me how two females can procreate together without SPERM? They can’t.
Lets go to a different scenario? What if all the straights died and only gays were left, how would you ensure your generations would continue? Would they all be gay?

Farming with irrigation, fertilizer and pest control is not “natural” in the sense that humans are adding elements which we know assist plant growth but which are not conditions with regularly occur in nature. Clothing is also not natural, but I doubt either you or I would prefer seeing everyone naked. So sometimes, what is not natural is beneficial and every time you use technology, you’re conceding that point implicitly.

God designed us as male and female for a reason and man has twisted it into something unnatural. God’s words by Isaiah were never truer, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil,
who put darkness for light and light for darkness…” (Isaiah 5:20) God’s people who stand for what is right are now seen as evil. Don’t believe in God? You will.
