Secret Service on Nugent Meeting: ‘The Issue Has Been Resolved’

AP
Ted Nugent’s interview with the Secret Service over comments he made about President Barack Obama’s re-election concluded Thursday, with the agency saying “the issue has been resolved” and that it “does not anticipate any further action.”
“I met with two fine, professional Secret Service agents in [Oklahoma] today,” Nugent, 63, said in a statement after the meeting. “Good, solid, professional meeting concluding that I have never made any threats of violence towards anyone. The meeting could not have gone better. I thanked them for their service, we shook hands and went about our business. God bless the good federal agents wherever they may be.β
Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary told the Washington Post after the interview that “the issue has been resolved” and the agency βdoes not anticipate any further action.β
Nugent said during an NRA convention over the weekend that if the president is re-elected in November, βI will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.”
He first revealed on Glenn Beck’s radio program that he was set to meet with agents.
This post has been updated since it was first published.
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isnβt really about controlling guns at all; itβs about controlling us. Posted on April 19, 2012 at 5:28pmCATB, I remember WFLA very well from when I lived in Tampa back in the ’70s. Was trying to get a job with WFLA TV back then, but government based hiring discrimination kept them from hiring me back in ’73. Probably for the better though. I was still young and impressionable then and may have been turned away from my more conservative leanings then. God, do I ever miss the variety of food there. What I would give for a Cuban sandwich from the Silver Ring!

Now that he is old and nobody wants to listen to him he has to come up with a new gig and make a comeback to make more money. I canβt believe the NRA lets him speak. I thought Beck had morals?
This same guy in a few years will be institutionalized and will have to depend on this government to feed him and change his diaper. Unless he has enough government notes left in his pocket to pay for nursing home services. After he drives on the government owned roads…..etc….etc…

Posted on April 19, 2012 at 5:25pmIt must be disheartening to be an SS agent who worked hard, kept his nose clean, got good grades etc. so they could be a part of an elite organization only to find out that most Americans despise the criminals that they protect. These guys are not stupid. They know what these low-life politicians are but they have families and financial commitments that they cannot walk away from. So, they stay and protect the criminals in exchange for a paycheck. They trade their fellow countrymen and women for a paycheck.
