UFO Enthusiasts Believe They’ve Spotted a Spaceship Flying by the Sun — Take a Look

UFO Spotted Near Sun by NASAs Solar Heliospheric Observatory?

Images taken from NASA’s Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) have some UFO fan sites going wild over a potential “spot” that doesn’t look like “anything ever spotted near the sun” before.

First, check out the SOHO clips that were pulled together in this YouTube video:

The images compiled into the above YouTube video were taken by one of SOHO’s sensors, data from which is updated on its website as close to real time as possible.

The Daily Mail records some of the UFO enthusiasts’ thoughts on the spot:

“The unidentified flying object, which bears no resemblance to anything ever spotted near the Sun, somehow manages to withstand the blazing heat thrown off by solar flare activity and the incredibly high temperatures emanating from nuclear fusion generated on the surface of the star. What is it?” asked [Gather News].

UFO fans on YouTube have been highly enthusiastic about the object, with many claiming it as a definite ‘spot’.

“The video shows what looks like a metallic, jointed spaceship with a gigantic extension, perhaps a boom arm, anchored off its lower end.

“An enlargement of the object makes the enormously large UFO look like a ship straight out of a Hollywood movie.”

If it’s not a UFO, some have raised the possibility that one of the 12 complimentary instruments that sense various factors as SOHO constantly faces the sun in its orbit is creating a distortion.

SOHO was released into orbit in 1995 as a collaborative project between NASA and the European Space Agency to study the sun, its corona and outer atmosphere.

Really? wondering what that thing might be – wait until it comes closer and zooms by earth, then we’ll know. Otherwise, its just the reflection off of some space junk. I think i heard somewhere there’s gobs of that out there. Why not pollute space too…

  You want to watch a wild video? News coverage of UFO’s and video’s from all over the world. I am sure some of these things are scientific experiments, but they are weird. Also a strange call in to Art Bell, which, who knows, could be a crazy guy, or a set up. You make your own opinions.

  I watched this video, then when it was done I saw a similar image from a February YouTube image, but it was on the opposite side of the sun (Bottom right instead of bottom left), and it looked almost like a mirror image of this video. Looked almost same distance away and everything. So my guess is its something internal to the lense system or camera itself.

  is it just me? since almost all cell phones have video recording capabilities the ufo sightings have decreased. Anybody can release several mylar baloons taped together and record with a vhs, now since milions more have the ability, the reportings are down.

  To me it looks more like someone paused the video feed rapidly on and off again then on to create distortion and then took a still image of distortion, and claimed “UFO.” Just distorted stars.

We little piss-ants that crawl over this mud ball can no more “pollute space” then we can affect the atmosphere by contributing our barley measurable exhaust gases to the trace gas (C02) that gives life to everything green on our massive planet.   There was a popular scifi space aliens series on TV that was cancelled when the producers discovered that the space aliens wanted to take our blacks back to their planet. The series was cancelled before anyone could find out the details or if it was even true. What I read was that the leaders of the Earth were taking the Space Alien invaders seriously.   Not as impossible as you’ve been led to believe. The speed of light (C) is not an impenetrable barrier. That is a lie perpetuated by Einstein and his supposed “proof” of special relativity. Gravity and speed do not bend space and time. In the vacuum of space, it doesn’t matter if a rocket is moving at 0 or C, without a physical reference frame and drag, you can go as fast as you want. Oh, and our nearest extrasolar star is only 8 years away even if we only traveled at C.

  SGTB…the problem with that is, we don’t have a space vehicle that can even approach 186,000 miles per second.
  
  I think, and I’m not positive because zi haven’t looked it up, but I think our conventional space craft, like the space shuttle, could “cruise” at about 17,000 miles an hour…which is something like 4.7 miles per second, or something like that.

  When a star exploded a while back, it was noted with trepidation that the light emanating from the explosion traveled across the nebula much faster than light was supposed to go. Nothing but theories could account for this with one being that light can reach past the original calculated speeds by being propelled by gravitational fields. Much like an electric motor going faster when more voltage is applied. I have my own experiments that show that light can be manipulated with a few simple tools. Liz ?

  If it can withstand the heat and radiation of the sun, as well as gravitational forces and glass (if there are any windows) that can block out luminousity that bright, one can assume the race was technologically advanced long before, and had plenty of time to build such a thing.
  Especially if it’s contructed on and around a larger body, like a small asteriod or small moon.

To be visible “close to the sun,” that object would have to be larger than the planet Earth. Not bloody likely.

It’s probably a much closer object, perhaps an Earth-launched sattelite, or the reflection of some object near the lens.

Anybody who believes it’s an alien spacecraft is an id10t.

  It would be foolish to assume that all possible life forms would be on a human scale. Nature is recreated in orders of magnitude.
  
  Perhaps they perceive themselves orbiting a tiny, weak star that emits such a low output of energy that their craft is able to withstand the heat?
  
  Perhaps they are quite large beings, hundreds of times larger than human beings, packed tightly into their cramped little spaceship?
  
  Maybe they’re just here watching the little talking monkeys on the tiny blue planet…? Wondering if we’re tastey…?

The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus

I believe there are others out there. I’ve seen the triangle shaped UFO’s traveling in formation. Almost daily there are sightings around the globe if you care to look for them on google or youtube.

  You know what, I agree. Whether this is a UFO or not, who knows. However, the phenomenon as a whole is very real. That’s not to say that UFOs are necessarily carrying beings from another planet; however, on a broader sense, this is no hoax. This spans the globe and has no regard for developed or underdeveloped countries, but includes everything from rural Ukraine to communist China to NYC. There are thousands or sightings, but not just sightings–personal interaction. Even a cursory research assessment shows that something unusual is going on that is not being explained or talked about openly. Many reputable men and women have staked their reputations on finding answers to explain their experiences. The ones who mock it are the ones who haven’t seriously looked into it.

  I am not convinced Earth has been visited by ET’s, or that this picture is anything but lint on the lense, but I think there are others out there. The statistics are such that it is more likely they exist than not. The statistics that they would find and visit us, however, are more like dropping a grain of sand from an airplane, and having it land on the head of a pin that was stuck in a log floating in the ocean.

  Yeah, all of the videos and pictures of UFO’s and not one of them is clear enough to actually make out anything more than a fuzzy shape. Like a previous post stated, with every phone now including a camera and with all of the huge megapixel cameras out there in the world the sightings have decreased. If you watch a television show about UFO’s they still use fuzzy 35 mm pics and vids. Come to Jesus people, time is growing short. If you don’t believe in something you will fall for anything.
