California Rescuers Strategize Best Way to Get Stuck Dolphin Back to Sea
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (AP) β Rescuers are returning to wetlands along California’s southern coast Saturday in hopes that a dolphin that got stuck there has found its way to open waters.
Peter Wallerstein of Marine Animal Rescue says the dolphin doesn’t need a high tide to escape the shallow waters of the Bolsa Chica wetlands where it was swimming tight circles in on Friday.
Wallerstein says the dolphin is very healthy, and rescuers hope it will find its way out on its own, rather than agitating the powerful animal, which could put rescuers in harm’s way.
The dolphin wandered into a narrow channel along Friday, preventing it from reuniting with a pod of dolphins.
The wetlands is separated from the ocean by a wide beach and Pacific Coast Highway.

Posted on April 29, 2012 at 4:56pmDid Flipper swim in there – Can Flipper swim out of there ? Then let nature do what nature does best, it decides what the fate of a living creature shall be, people around these parts like to call it ” natural selection ” – it work out perfectly untill some self absorbed ” do-gooder ” group sticks thier precosious little noses into the mix and screws it all up !

Posted on April 29, 2012 at 7:51amIf the Dolphin got in there, the Dolphin can find its way out. Leave it alone. They sit there and scream that man is the biggest problem to the, “beloved earth” and then they stick their noses in whenever some animal does something stupid. On land, when an animal dies doing something stupid, we celebrate it with a hilarious email entitled, “Darwin Award Winners 2012″.

Posted on April 28, 2012 at 5:10pmYet in LA County, thousands of children are going to bed hungry or scared that a bullet won’t fly through the wall and kill them or their family…and CA waste its time on a Dolphin?…Its all over the news out there like its some sort of state tragedy….hilarious!! What happens if it doesn’t ‘do’ what ‘they’ want it to do?..what then?what comes next? Do they get the nets and drag/corral it back to the ocean where it belongs?
