She hit the scene Thursday and is here to save the Obama campaign against big, mean, Mitt Romney.

Real News From The Blaze: The Life of Julia

“The Life of Julia” is a 12-part slideshow posted on the official Obama/Biden campaign website Thursday, that illustrates an American girl trying to maker her way through life encountering at each stage a situation where things would be seemingly much easier with the policies of Barack Obama, as opposed to Mitt Romney. The slideshow doesn’t resist in taking jabs at “The Romney/Ryan budget,” giving thanks to Obamacare for allowing 25-year-olds to stay on their parents insurance, and knocking Mitt Romney’s decision to support the Blunt Amendment–”Which would place Julia’s health care decisions in the hands of her employer.”

As in, force her employer to take on the additional costs of covering her birth control.

Since its release the glorified powerpoint presentation has predictably been a hot topic of discussion among political commentators.

“Let’s, for the purposes of this post, set aside the misleading generalizations regarding policy in the ad (no one is innocent on that account, obviously),” Human Events’s David Harsanyi writes in his column Thursday “Who the hell is ‘Julia,’ and why am I paying for her whole life?”

“What we are left with is a celebration of a how a woman can live her entire life by leaning on government intervention, dependency and other people’s money rather than her own initiative or hard work. It is, I’d say, implicitly un-American, in the sense that it celebrates a mindset we have — outwardly, at least — shunned.”

“Obama is setting forward a vision contrary to the American tradition of self-sufficiency–a welfare state that runs from cradle to grave, ” James Taranto writes on WSJ.com, going on to slam the slideshow for its presentation of Julia as a mother, never mentioning whether or not the composite girl got married.

“‘The Life of Julia’ is an insidious attack on the institution of the family, an endorsement of bureaugamy even for middle-class women,” Taranto writes.

The “Real News” panel Friday was also unmoved by “The Life of Julia.”

“We always talk about the cradle to the grave society,” Andrew Wilkow said Friday. “Here it is.

“The choices that we are being given under this dynamic are either central planning or Nihilism.”

Matt McCall noted that the $10,000 grant to Julia for college from President Obama’s American Opportunity Tax Credit featured in the ad, which Mitt Romney would allow to expire, is not much to celebrate considering how far $2,500 a year will get you with today’s tuition ranging from $40,000 to $50,000 a year.

“Ten thousands dollars, I hate to break it to you President Obama, is not going to change her decision (to go to college),” McCall said.

As the discussion progressed through the stages of Julia’s life, it became clear that while the ad art may only be so-so, “The Life of Julia’s” message is a fantastic illustration of the entitlement society which conservatives stand against.

“At no point do we see Julia taking control of her own life,” Wilkow noted.

  What a sad woman’s life! She is the hands of big brother, a prisoner of the Federal government, from birth to death. Julia can not pursuit happiness she has not incentives at all, a flat life with not goals, she has not even a husband!!! The whole thing is a Progressive, castrated and unamerican idea! Maybe she has a hidden sister, Jane, who wants to escape, looking for permission to enter as a refugee in China?… Russia? Egypt? South Africa? No, there will not be then a host country; nobody giving her to asylum. In that new country of Julia, Jane will useless try to escape..If the USA disappear it won’t be another country in the entire world to save anybody. No country with a exceptional Constitution to ensure freedom and opportunity to all citizens; no country as one time America was. This is a very sickening project.

This Julia-scenario will not work at all because there will be no funding for it in the end without taxpayers, the source of government monies. It’s all a big lie and doomed to failure. This only purpose of this Julia-BS is to manipulate stupid people to vote for another lie, another broken promise. If it sounds to good to be true – it’s a scam.

  There is a slide missing from the Julia slideshow, it is developed by looking at what is actually happening in Greece, Spain, and other European countries. This slide shows Julia rioting in the street because Obama has run out of others peoples money and can no longer keep the promises he made to her in order to buy her vote.

  Did you also notice they don’t start until age 3? What happens in Obama’s world if a 2 year old gets sick? I had a fever of 107.9 (that’s not a typo) at 20 months. Turned out to be not only rheumatic fever but a kidney/bladder infection from 3 kidneys. Cass Sustein doesn’t believe a life is worth anything until age 2 or 3.
  
  Also, it ends at 67. Isn’t the life expectancy for women much higher than that? After 67, your life is not useful anymore and if you get sick Obama will give you pain meds and send you to a government run nursing home.

At 6 Julia had won 3 state awards for her artists rendition of the Caucasian recycling centers.

At 12 Julia received her first burkha and genital mutilation.

By 18, Julia was a successful mass murderer, having aborted a President, two doctors, a teacher and a Minister by using abortion as birth control.

By 45 Julia had made her first million dollars by defrauding entitlement programs.

At 75 Julia died intestate in a state-run euthanasia clinic.

poor Julia, lurching one entitlement to another, totally unable to self actualize or bring home the bacon and then cook it up in the pan…not even independent/cool enough to be in an old Virginia Slims ad. If George Clooney doesn’t hurry up and ask her out for a date…looks like all she has to look forward is a life of cats, recycling and being an OWS supporter….and it’s the Republicans who are having the War on Women? Julia is a boring frump….she needs to get a life…real women don’t depend on the Nanny State.

  Also with so many free abortions being used as birth control, she never would have been able to conceive. I had a friend in high school who had 3 abortions, using them as birth control, who, when she wanted to conceive, couldn’t.

I can’t wait for a good response to this that shows the life of Julia as the country goes bankrupt and sharia law becomes the law of the land, because of President Obama’s policies.

It is clear that this administration thinks that women voters are the key to winning this election.

I really hope everyone goes through the entire slide show. This is just horrid propaganda, it’s based on false premises and the assumption that we are still goint to be able to get other countries to buy are bonds to fund these programs.

Also what a sad picture it paints that you cannot “do” without the government. Whatever happend to “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”

  I remember in the 90′s there was a “fax-machine” joke that was sent around showing the title “Life-Stages or “Life Cycle”(something like that)”. Baby girl & the images of youth,middle-age & were silhouette & around 60 yrs old the subject starts aging & more years pass & shows a silhouette of about 3 more stages & she becomes more bent-over & with a cane & the final picture has a word caption, “Well, that sucked”. Now a new twist, government “the designer” and not “God is the Designer” Reminds me of a joke: Doctors waiting room & first time patient & every patient comes out after doctor has seen them & they say he is a “miracle-worker” etc..Old lady with a cane, so bent over it was pitiful. Old lady comes out after visit with doctor and standing straight & tall. New patient asks,”the doctor does perform miracles..how did he do it ?”..Old lady,”he gave me a longer cane”.
  Stand-up America. Throw-away that “Obama Cane”!

  This is the typical insanity of the so0called social justice crowd as in – give me something because my ancestors suffered ” injustices.” Whaa. Gimme stuff. ( what will they do about the Muslim and Africans who sold people into slavery ? How will those guys get served a plate of social justice since their crimes did not involve land ? ) Make no mistake this is all about revenge . This is all about getting land . Remember what has happened in Zimbabwe: they took land from the white farmers, broke up bountiful crop producing farms, and gave the land to poor natives to farm. Guess what ? No more crops because these new farmers either did not know how or did not want to be bothered to work their little plots. Just another ” great” idea . Based on “revenge” and done without good thought. End result : bad for EVERYONE.

  Interesting sidelight on this : Obama’s father was raised by and was. himself, a fellow who had some real issues over white , European colonialism in Africa. The Dreams of Obama’ father , am sure, included a big batch of anger / social justice as well as the fact that the father was never terribly successful. THEN , bi-racial Obama grew up in Hawaii. Native Hawaiians have real anger issues, to this day, over their loss of native lands to Dole and capitalist America. The white issue always gets put into the mix. Am sure those years in Hawaii were fertile ground for Obama’s anger toward white ” colonialist/ capitalists. “
