WH Press Corps Overruns Jay Carney With Questions on Joe Biden’s Gay Marriage Comments

On Sunday, Vice President Joe Biden said that he is “absolutely comfortable” with same-sex marriage, making him the highest Obama administration official to indicate support for the issue.

President Obama, on the other hand, has maintained a stance of being opposed to same-sex marriage– though he supports equal rights for LGBT individuals and his stance is reported to be “evolving.”

The discrepancy caused a rash of questions at the daily press briefing at the White House, with Jay Carney seemingly trying to play-down the issue.

“He opposes bans on gay marriage…but he doesn’t yet support gay marriage?” one reporter asked.

“His views on LGBT rights are crystal clear,” Carney maintained. “Nothing has changed,” he said, looking visibly flustered.

“[Biden] has his own personal views on the issue, as does the President,” Carney said, before concluding, “Look, I don’t have an update for you on the President’s personal views.”

One reporter reportedly responded, “The game’s on,” as the press conference ended.

  Everyone knows how obama feels about gay issues. It’s one of his largest voting blocks. However, he must distance himself, as it gets close to the election, because he wants to lure independents. Biden will have a sock shoved into his mouth until November.

  There are no laws denying any rights to these people. Never have been. They can get married. The definition is what they are trying to change. Both parties love talking about issues like this. Marriage is a State issue, but what way better then to whip up the base. I’m sure the Dems will have their big mouths out there and we will pull out someone like West or Bachmann to hoot and holler that we need more laws at the Federal level to protect us from…….. What ever. It’s all Smoke and Mirrors while we give them are liberties to keep us safe and then stand by and watch them destroy the Republic.

  today massachusettes banned bake sales state wide at schools and fundraisers do to the high cost and severity of child obesity… its costing blah blah blah… so where are the published disease rates and healthcare costs associated with gay sex? the cdc has several alarming articles on gay mens sexual activites and the very high risks and medical costs related to anal sex and oral hpv outbreaks…so while our government is hammering the food sources and obesity pandemic… they are aggressivley advocating gay marriage and gay sexual activity.. which carries a larger scale societal probelm than obesity… ie: obesity is not transmittable.. so where is the public outcry against gay sexual behavior, equal to their political concerns for fat people?

Who cares what Biden thinks. Our country is going bankrupt, our troops have been at none stop war for decades, and we are losing real freedoms weekly. To top that off the GOP establishment is desperate for the status quo and wants Romney who supports practically everything Obama is as a candidate.

We are losing our nation, focus on the only issues that matter.

Debt
Spending
Wars
Freedoms

Obama cannot defend himself on those issues. Of course neither can Romney, but we need to wake up. Ron Paul 2012!!!

I actually feel sorry for poor Jay Carney. Having to sugarcoat the actions of Dumb & Dumber. A daunting challenge. I have notice the press, the main stream press, the press that has been in Obama’s back pocket has started to grow a pair. They have been constantly becoming more aggresive when feed the usual load of crap. I have never seen the WH press corp lead around by the nose and sucking up in my years. They seem to be waking up from the daze they have been in for the last 4 years. That’s a good sign.
