Bear Runs Amok After Smashing Through a Glass Door at a NJ School

A custodian was in for a rude awakening last week when a bear literally smashed through the doors at the Ogdensburg Elementary School in Ogdensburg, New Jersey, and then began running through the hallways. In video footage secured by WCBS-TV, the cub can be seen crashing through the doorway. What happens next is entertaining, to say the least.

After the bear apparently considered heading out of the building through a separate exit, it decided to stay indoors and run around a bit. But a brave janitor wasn’t prepared to allow the animal to galavant throughout the school unchecked. So, Earl Hornyak decided to chase the animal (he can be seen running after the 75-pound bear in the WCBS-TV footage).

“I see a bear running down the hallway. I am not afraid of a bear cause I see ‘em a lot around here,” Hornyak explained. “I started to chase it down a hallway and then it decides to go in a classroom.”

Judy Donche, a teacher at the school, was inside of the classroom when the bear came barreling in. The teacher and the janitor promptly left the room and called authorities. According to Donche, the bear appeared to be disoriented and spent its time tearing up math books until police officers arrived to let it out of a window.

CBS-TV also noted the irony in the fact that the school’s sports teams are named after the bears (the local community is used to seeing the animals roaming around). Additionally, there was a bear statue near the doorway the cub crashed through.

As black bears take over suburban America at an alarming pace, the idiotic masses brainwashed on decades of misanthropic environ-mental propaganda seem to think that black bears are cute and fluffly little teddy bears that pose no real danger to the public.

WRONG.

Black bears have killed dozens of people across America. A couple relatively recent examples come to mind of a black bear snatching an infant from its crib and killing it and a boy who was dragged out of his tent and killed while his unarmed father was helpless to save him.

So many dangerous predators are taking over suburbia lately. It’s becoming an epidemic and people need to wake the heck up and do something about it before more people and their pets are hurt or killed.

  Why in the world WOULDN’T you want free college for minorities and the poor?
  
  If Jesus was alive don’t you think he’d want the poor to get a free education. I don’t remember the Sermon at the Mount being an ivy league only private school.
  
  And I don’t remember him charging his miracles to peoples insurance.
  
  Give Caesar what is Caesars, but our Caesars are more like Caligula’s.
  
  And come on an Occupy joke on a bear video . . . really? Are you that out of jokes that you take a terrible shot at a joke like that?
  
  Besides he was probably running away from all the convicts that pass poor gun background checks and are allowed to own guns.
  
  But really, you think minorities and the poor shouldn’t get a free education? So if you were poor what would you do? Let me guess. “Get a job right?” Well if you haven’t noticed even retail jobs aren’t available because all the large chains are closing. If you have a job now count yourself lucky, because lots of companies are folding everyday and a lot of decent americans are being put out of work.

  Z88 – The poor and minorities do get free education….I know, I teach in a Title 1 school. I work with the poor every day. The fact of the matter is that generally speaking, the poor aren’t interested in an education. Yes, there are some exceptions. This year I believe I have 9 students of the 160 that will break the cycle of poverty and make something of themselves.
  
  They are interested in skipping class, doing drugs, blasting rap music from their ipods, wearing expensive shoes, playing video games, wearing hoodies, getting piercings and tatoos and texting. Math, Science, History and English are the farthest things from their mind. Why should the tax payers be on the hook for a college education when they waste the 13+ years of free education that we are supplying for them.
  
  Do you think that all of a sudden they are going to take an interest in their education after 12th grade? If so, you are fooling yourself.

  Ziggens…in the movie “The Incredibles” the villan states that when everybody has super powers, no one will be super. Same goes for a college degree. Then a degree won’t mean anything. Besides, it’s just more of the indoctrination you got in school. Go to college and find out that your parents are the cause of all your problems. Kind of like the blacks blaming the whites for all their problems.

Why don’t the Liberals in the State Legislature do what they have done before (or Congress?)?
Just declare schools to be a “Bear Free Zone”.
It worked for the guns and the drugs, didn’t it?

  Exactly, RADERBY. I grew up in Morris County and my mother tells me you can’t have a kid’s Birthday party outside in the summer because a bear will come around for the food. Bears have also run into cars on Route 23!
