‘Pink Smoke Rising’: Read the Cryptic Tweet That Rush Limbaugh Quoted After Obama’s Marriage Flip-Flop
Rush Limbaugh often takes opportunities to demonstrate his sense of humor, and to give credit to funny people, even when they come from a different position than him. The conservative talker has lent his voice, for instance, to the highly anti-conservative television show “Family Guy” as a favor to the show’s creator, with whom Limbaugh is friends.
And today, after Obama’s abrupt flip flop on marriage, Limbaugh decided to quote a sarcastic tweet from progressive consultant Jesse Berney, who took to Twitter after the President’s interview to post the following (apparently entirely facetious) Tweet:

Berney, for his part, appears to find the fact that Limbaugh quoted his non-serious Tweet to be both mildly funny and highly irritating. Here are a sample of his Tweets since Rush’s segment:

Posted on May 10, 2012 at 1:48amI think it’s going to hurt him in the polls. Conservatives and Libertarians won’t vote for him. This is probably VERY low priority for most people, but some Liberals and Independents will probably decide to vote against Obama for this decision.
What percentage actually cares about gay marriage? Probably only the radicals that would have voted for him anyways. 5% maybe? I think most everyone is more concerned about the economy. Of course, Hollywood not included, if they had the tiniest iota of sense, they’d realize Obama is only making the economy worse for us poor workers.
I know someone that tried to commit suicide a couple days ago because he was left homeless and there are no jobs, and he said that he could only imagine himself living under a bridge. So he’s moving in with my family even though we barely make enough to get by ourselves. Ya, my family are evil Tea Party Libertarians… so evil that we’re giving a homeless man free room and board and we’re not taking government assistance even though we’re struggling too.
I wonder if Al Gore, Obama, Biden… did they ever take in a homeless man?
No that’s right… VP Gore only gave 353 dollars of his millions and millions of dollars to charity in ’97. Pocket change… we’re giving a lot more than that and we don’t even make $40,000 a year. I wonder if there was a bubblegum wrapper and some pocket lint with the $353.00

Posted on May 10, 2012 at 7:43amI might be out of touch, but i can’t even understand the mindset that considers gay marriage a vote worthy deciding factor in a time like this. this is likely the last real election we may ever have(actually thats a big risk with either side, but at least there’s a very small chance we survive 4 years with romney with a democraticly elected leader next term) we ceased being a truely “free” country gradually over the last 15 years.

Can you imagine a group of severely underweight women–or women carrying buckets in which to vomit–pressuring the APA to remove anorexia nervosa and bulimia as eating disorders?
