Limbaugh on Biden’s Gay Marriage Comments: He Did It So They Can’t Throw Him Off the Ticket

Vice President Biden is famously a gaffe machine, to the point that he has apparently had to apologize to President Obama for forcing the latter’s hand in disclosing his feelings about gay marriage.

But unlike Biden’s other gaffes, some are wondering whether this one wasn’t deliberate. Rush Limbaugh certainly thinks it might have been, and weighed in on his radio show to suggest that Biden might have deliberately forced the issue in order to bring forth a spontaneous outflowing of money to the campaign, which Biden himself could then claim credit for as a way to stop the campaign from replacing him as Obama’s Vice Presidential candidate. Limbaugh’s full thoughts are provided in video form below via The Daily Rushbo, followed by some excerpts:

The theory is that Biden did that to make it almost impossible to throw him off the ticket now. The thinking is that gay marriage is so popular on the Democrat side, it’s turned on the money spigot. People who were holding back — people who weren’t writing checks, people who weren’t fundraising and who were not bundling — all of the sudden now are running at 150 miles an hour. They’re raising money, bundling money, donating money, all because of Biden.

Biden has enough political experience that this maneuver certainly doesn’t seem that far-fetched. However, one has to wonder whether donors will have a long enough memory come the convention to care who ends up on the bottom of the ticket.

  Rush is an entertainer rather than someone who can claim to be an informed pundit, and he says a lot of crazy things. But this is one wildest ideas I’ve heard yet.
  
  I understand that Rush has some problems with pain killers and alcohol. I won’t make fun of him for that. But seriously, when he says stuff like this ya gotta wonder what his personal situation is.

  I don’t care who’s on the ticket. If Obama’s running, I’m voting for Romney.
  I just realized something. Everyone – EVERY SINGLE ONE- I know is voting for Romney. In 2008, almost everyone I knew was voting for Obama. I didn’t vote for him though. I wonder if Colorado is going to become a red state again.

  Gay marriage is not right. If they want to live together, that’s their business, not mine. But, the thing I’m more opposed to is the LATE TERM abortion Obama voted for while in the Illinois senate. Yeah, stick a knife into the baby’s brain before it’s fully born and throw it away.
  
  If it accidentally continues to live, it’s just thrown into a closet to finish dying. No muss, no fuss.

Biden’s plugs, and Clinton with no make up. Those are what caused President Obama to act on gay marriage. Biden is always saying stupid things. The breaking news would be if he said something that mattered. Clooney holds a 40k a plate fundraiser at his crib. That 15 mil could have done a lot of good in Darfur, but politics over priniples is the cornerstone of ‘Forward’.

There is no way Obama will throw Biden off the ticket. Obama needs his lack of smarts to make him,(Obama ) shine as a contrast. That’s why obama chose him in the first place. If Biden showed any smarts at all, he would make Obama look stupid.

  Nope, have thought for months this is exactly what’s going to happen. and the more “incidents” that happen, Clinton’s fawning “Obama got Bin Laden and Romney wouldn’t” ad, Biden gaffes etc., the more convinced I become. The fix is in to put Hillary on the ticket to position her for 2016 whether Obama wins or not. Likely this deal was worked out months ago. He would see it as energizing the base, and the Clintons would see it as payback for their loyalty.

Biden isn’t going anywhere and forced POTUS’ hand for a reason…I have a theory and will see if it plays out. Has everything to do with the next 5 months…

If that’s the case why do 30 states have amendments stating marriage is between a man and a woman? Perhaps 80% of their polling populations hails from the SF Bay area…

They are such a useful tool to the Obama machine! Now, whenever the Liar-in-chief opens his mouth, I count to three (3 days, that is) to see what his wind-up was for–he’ll crack his pie-hole on Wednesday and the MSM will ‘break’ the story on Friday, so we all have the weekend to think about it!
