Yes, You Can Have a Bacon Sundae at Burger King Now (Will You Have One?)

First it was Jack in the Box’s bacon milkshake. Now it seems there’s a new entrant in the foods-Michelle-Obama-would-disapprove-of category: Burger King’s bacon sundae.
Introduced in a test-run in Nashville, Tenn. two months ago, the fast food chain is officially launching the sweet-and-salty treat nationwide on Thursday as part of its new limited summer menu.
Described as vanilla soft serve with fudge, caramel, bacon crumbles and a piece of bacon, the sundae runs 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar, according to the Associated Press. (For what it’s worth, that’s less than Jack in the Box’s shake, which held 773 calories and 40 grams of fat for a regular 16-ounce.)
The special offering will be available until Sept. 3 or while supplies last.

BK is my go-to place now for coffee – here in the Vegas area they make each cup from scratch using Starbuck’s “Seattle’s Best” beans, and it’s better than Starbuck’s version ‘cuz it’s not burned. Best coffee out there at the moment and only 50 cents for us seniors (wow!). Now I just wish they’d have lemonade. What’s with that? If they get lemonade along with mac & cheese (again!), a better side salad (like Wendy’s), a good parfait like McD’s, and a great fish sandwich for $2 like Jack in the Box just dropped (the idiots!), and BK will be the only place to be! And, yes, I AM 100 pounds overweight – so sue me.

If people are blaming this for getting them fat I will remind you that you can eat stuff like this in moderation. Blaming ice cream for someones fat gut makes as much sense as blaming a spoon. Share it with someone and cut the calories in half. You could also get really crazy and exercise and burn off the calories…
It will boost sales at a private sector business and help the economy a little by doing so.

Obesity related illnesses cost America $190 billion a year, and guess who’s paying for a lot of that — the taxpayer. If the only peope affected were the obese individuals themselves, I wouldn’t have a problem with overindulgence.

I do like bacon as well as sundaes, but I would prefer them not in the same container. To each his or her own though. As for consuming these or anything else, it is a matter of moderation and as somebody above mentioned, it is no big deal to have a treat every so often. Its like those fries I like with mayonnaise, they are a once in a while treat and I can do without them for months at a time. Everything is a matter of personal responsibility. That being said, can anybody explain why TROLLMONGER is such a D I C K with ears?
