‘Just a Blogger’: Watch Michelle Malkin Assert the Power of Conservative Media at ‘Right Online’
Following her tense segment on Hannity with Juan Williams this week, where she was insulted as just a “blogger on the blogosphere” and “not a real journalist,” Michelle Malkin is firing back at the “snotty condescension from liberal elite journalists” like Williams.
At the “Right Online” convention this weekend, Malkin began her speech, “My name is Michelle Malkin and I am just a blogger,” to roars of applause.
She continued: “You’re blogging in your spare time when these ‘real reporters’ can’t do their jobs when they’re on the clock! ‘Just a blogger…’ I want it on a t-shirt.”

“Journalism is not something you are, it’s something you do.”
“There are real reporters who won’t even say the name ‘Brett Kimberlin’ out of fear…The kind of harassment that I’ve gone through over the past twenty years pales in comparison to what these individuals bloggers [have gone through]…and we owe them so much for standing up, for telling the truth. Thank them, get their backs.”
“A lot of progressives…always ask me, ‘Why are you so mad?’ Why the hell shouldn’t I be mad? You’re trying to flush our country down the toilet! I’m not going to tell you that you’re a nice person. And I think we need more people in Washington…not to concede that these people are ‘nice’ people.”

After Fox picked him up, he seemed to be trying to be somewhat reasonable. I guess he took a lot of heat for that from the left and turned up the liberal rudeness. But I don’t wish for FOX to lose Williams. They advertise themselves as fair and balanced, and Williams provides evidence to that claim (even though a liberal would burst into flames were they ever to admit such a thing).
Besides, those spectacular Malkin fireworks would not have been possible without a Juan Williams there to strike the match.
(And, yes, I share that admiration for Malkin’s work, even if she is ‘only a blogger.’ ;-)

Posted on June 16, 2012 at 7:01pmRULIEROSE, It’s not just because of his politics. I found Juan far less objectionable when he was still full time with NPR and a part time contributor with Fox. He was no where near as rude as he is now. It’s been a very noticeable change on his part. I expect him to stick to his side and their issues, but from his previous demeanor I find this change to be unpleasant. These days, I’d rather see Beckle on The Five than Williams. As for Alan Colmes, I stopped listening to him back in ’94 when he interviewed a former funeral home employee who had been fired the day before when caught in the act of necrophilia on the job. One of the ways I can distinguish them from decent human beings is by their cruelty. Andrew Breitbart, I really miss you. As far as people on FOX who really have earned my contempt, it would be Jehmu Greene, Alan Colmes, Ellis Henican, Santita Jackson, and possibly a few others. There are a few of the libs on there who are likeable such as Mike Meyers, Pat Cadell, even Beckel sometimes and there are worse libs on there than Juan Williams. I think maybe Juan is just a little bit lost right now. We really do need the FIERCE warriors like Michelle Malkin who can really dish it right back at ‘em! That is why I also really like Reince Preibus. There simply is no playing nice with these radical O-blame-a guard dogs like Valerie Jarrett, David Axelrod, and their union thugs. They would not recognize human decency if it up and bit ‘em in their collective azzez!!

In fact, it’s getting a bit iffy to choose whether I watch O’Reilly or something else, or read. He’s changed; not for the good.

A blogger is a step up for this guy when talking about being a journalist of which he is not. When you listen to his opinions his thought processes really are non existent not to mention that dumb blank face he makes when challenged.

Juan stepped in it big time and I doubt that he’ll get rescued from THIS ONE. It truly showed his condescension…he now joins the ranks of little Billy Krystal and some other belt-way hotshots who fell off the train miles ago and aren’t smart enough to realize they will never get back on. However, his true colors have been coming out, since Obama’s been falling in the polls, and he pretty much did himself in the other night. I could see smoke billowing out of Michelle’s head, but she kept her cool then socked it to him with one hard blow. He deserved it and I gave her a standing ovation.
Did anyone see him on anything yesterday? I’m assuming he’s still picking himself up off the floor.
