Indian Man Chops off Daughter’s Head & Parades it Throughout His Village — Then Surrenders

JAIPUR, India (The Blaze/AP) — File this one under “disturbingly gruesome.” Police say a man upset over his daughter’s lifestyle chopped her head off with a sword and then paraded it through his village before surrendering to authorities in western India.

Marble miner Ogad Singh’s 20-year-old daughter had been living with her parents in the Rajasthani village of Dungarji after leaving her husband two years ago.

Police Superintendent Umesh Ojha says Singh was upset by his daughter having affairs with men, and became enraged when she eloped with one of them two weeks ago.

Ojha says Singh forced her to return home Sunday, and beheaded her Monday with a sword.

My daughter has been the center of my life since the day she came into this world. A man that would do something like this needs to be put against a wall and shot. No Trial os prison sentence. Just executed as quickly and publicly as possible. Nough said!

I gave my own daughter in marriage just two days ago and was very happy to do so, I can’t imagine the evil that must have been in that mans heart to murder his own daughter to restore his own pride in some small and immeasurable way. All cultures are not equal! Some are better than others. A culture which can produce such a horrible person who could do this against his own family is not a good one. Yes Americans do murder each other and for evil and idiotic reasons but we are not taught to do this for reasons of honor. Its not lifted up by the community either like it is in India and elsewhere throughout the Islamic countries.

  Such an act is inhumane, only an insane person who has pure evil would so such a horrifying act. It’s very truly sad and I’m very sorry to the mother of this child. I do not think it is a cultural thing to do, yet the act of this man should not speak for the entire culture, however there are people who would think otherwise. This world is just becoming more worse everyday. There is simply too much violence, in some parts of the Caribbean, you can’t go out in the dark, it is just that bad and there is a curfew of 9pm for the whole country. Trinidad and Tobago fits that description. As for this man, I hope he gets the punishment he deserves and when he sees Christ, I hope he is cast into hell for what he did. There is no excuse for doing something like that, honor or no honor, such an act is never justifiable!!!

  Funny..this man’s religion is not mentioned..and being in Jaipur..he more than likely is a Muslim..Is this what you might call “social conditioning” ? Like not mentioning race or religion when violence or evil is involved..Had this this family had Jesus/Yeshua..this would not have happened.. That is with any family..The children would not be leading a sinful..self degrading lifestyle..and their family would do them no harm..Jesus/Yeshua came into this world to show us how to live.   @SUNFLOWER I have spoken with Indians from Pakistan.and half of the country is Hindu and the other half is Muslim..They are at great controversy with one another. I was not aware of the sihk religion but a quick search revealed that it is like Hinduism..they are notably a peaceful people..Many of them have been beheaded. I believe that there are quite possibly Indians whose families originated Hindu or Sihk,,but they are most likely Muslim. This is the profile for a Muslim. Remember that they are being integrated..and the daughters apparently are picking up on Western pagan ways..and this is a difficult adjustment for them..In most Muslim homes there..the killing would most likely have occurred much sooner..THese people need to be introduced to Jesus..That is the Christian commission before the end…for the hearers and doers of YHVH’s word will inherit everlasting life..They deserve to know..This is such a sad way of life for anyone. We are fortunate that we have been given a choice..Praise be to God.

  If you go to rural India, you can buy a man’s daughter for 5 US Dollars. Ask that same man for his water buffalo and you’ll need to give him 300 US Dollars.
  
  In the case of South Asian Muslims they are able to invoke a religious authority from Islam to give them free license to perpetuate an extremely oppressive form of the Hindu culture from long ago.
  
  Just as much as Arab Muslims are oppressive, the Indians, whether Muslim or not seem to be competing with them.
  
  Infanticide is prohibited in Islam, as well as the dowry system which shows that Islam is actually quite progressive compared to their “culture.”
  
  It is not well known but India is perhaps just as vicious and savage in its value of human life with the worst aspects of Islamic tribalist mentalities. Violence against women has reached epic proportions in so many ways from female infanticide to acid attacks to honor killings.

  There is actually nothing that can be done from the westerner’s point of view to solve this. We have been as accommodating as we can be.
  
  The Muslim community needs to acknowledge their issues and begin to solve their problems, we cant solve it for them. If we try it will just create more strife.
  
  Hence my point that you dont need to defile their religion to counteract Jihadism and brutality committed in the name of islam. It should be easier to make them see and condemn such actions but they have adopted and perfected the minority victimhood lobby’s language, tactics and conceptions.

  That takes the cake. That was in regards to Zarqari from Jordan who terrorized Iraq. that was in part because he did not want Al Qaeda to get a bad name with Muslims and have them turn against him.

There are a lot of Rajasthani Hindus with the surname Singh, which leads me to believe this was a Hindu family, especially by their first names which do not sound Sikh. Furthermore, Sikhism states that men and women are to be treated with total equality, and these type of barbaric practice is banned.

  Singh is a common name for Sikhs. Jaipur & the village of Dungarji are in northwest India where the Sikh homeland is.
  
  It would have been interesting to get information on the arranged marriage such as age difference. A marriage in America with 9 year age difference has about a 2.5% chance of working. I know of an arranged marriage among Sikhs here in America. The age difference was0 to 4 years. It is working out quite well for everyone involved.

This article almost makes it sound as if the tradition includes chopping off the head of the daughter if she goes against her parent’s wishes. I thought Hindu was another religion of peace? I can only pray for understanding…. and the soul of the girl AND her father.

  It was not “India” that created Pakistan. In practical terms, it was the British who created Pakistan, when in the early 20th century they decided to “divide” so they could “continue to rule,” by creating separate electoral rolls for Muslims. This encouraged the formation of specifically Muslim political parties, especially the Muslim League, which had been captured by “separate state” advocates by 1940. Most Hindu leaders–including Gandhi–were opposed to the partition that accompanied independence in 1947.

My opinion of Indians has gone down in the last 24 hours. Last night, a big Indian family was acting very rudely in a restaurant (I thought Indian children were more disciplined). Now this.
