Washington NBC Meteorologist Doug Kammerer on Extreme Heat Wave: If We Did Not Have Global Warming We Wouldnt See This

An NBC meteorologist said Friday the record heat wave sweeping part of the country is the result of global warming.

Doug Kammerer, chief meteorologist for WRC-TV in Washington, D.C., gave his explanation of the extreme temperatures during a news weather update.

“I was on the radio today talking with some of the folks from WMZQ and they said, ‘Doug is this global warming and what’s going on?’ If we did not have global warming, we wouldn’t see this,” Kammerer said. “I really believe that, I really think that this is because — maybe we would have seen 101, maybe we would have seen 102, but not 104.”

He continued, “We have set all-time records all across the entire portion of the country. St. Louis hit 108 yesterday, Nashville, Tennessee hit 109 degrees during the day today. That is extreme heat and these are all-time records that have come up here.”

Seriously … since we cannot trust the left on global warming studies as they seem to fit the outcome to their agenda, should we simularly not trust the right when their studies on same are funded by corporate america?   The temperatures we are coming close to in the Detroit area were set in the 30′s, now tell me again about global warming. In the 70′s we were warned about global cooling. And when was the last time your weatherman predicted the weather correctly 7 days out.

  HAARP– the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program– is a government ( Air Force, Navy, among other agencies) funded research program seeking to understand and harness the electro- magnetic properties of the ionosphere. Part of this research is done by superheating areas of the ionosphere. I don’t really get what “HAARPers” are here, or why they would be put in the same category as “global-warmers?”

After intensively researching,and compiling data I’ve decovered the sun is heating the Earth causing Global warming. Each of you global warmingist can do this simple test and you will see the results for yourself. Stand in the SUN for 8 hour then move to the shade you’ll see a sudden temperture drop as you move into the shaded areas. The sun is too dangerous to be allowed to continue to heat our Earth.   Maybe the complete absence of Jet Ailiner contrails in the West is to blame for lack of rain! Maybe the lack of these rain making contrails that form vast clouds that move on the easterly trade winds is the real culprit and are thus needed in a manmade weather world. Could we actually be manipulating the weather? Why contrails everyday without fail then all of a sudden weeks have past with completely clear skys?

  Funny thing though, over the last 3 years, coal plants have closed at the fastes pace in history, coupled with emission regulations on the remaining ones left, therfore reducing the amount of the supposed harmful Carbon Dioxide going into the atmosphere, while all along, the temps have been rising, now why do you think that is? Anyone??? Funny how the ground temp has been rising at an alarming rate on the ground located at windmill farms also. Until last year, since 2000, the global temperature had actually been decreasing. So when it snowed here in Tucson,AZ a couple of winters ago, that proved global cooling? Uh, no not according to the enviro wackos..that only proved global warming because of the extreme temp. So last winter was mild here in Tucson….oh…nope..that proves global warming too….so we are having a cooler than normal summer….oh..no that proves it too…..I didn’t fart today…oh that proves it too……gimmie a break people…you environmentalist lost credibility in the 1970′s and you have gone down hill.

I might suggest that this fellow has spent a little too much time this past week out in the heat – it can make you say some rash things. I’m sure he is a formally trained meteorologist, as am I, and as such he knows that you can not attribute a brief stretch of extreme weather to long-term climate changes taking place. It would help if meteorologists, especially those engaged in broadcast media, were trained in climatology, but it is really almost a separate field of study. Some forecasters are more knowledgable about climate and climate change than others. I’m thinking the grief this guy is going to get from his colleagues for this statement is going to cause him to go to school on the subject of climate a little. Loose talk like this does not help the public to understand this complicated subject.

I would bet that extreme heat waves have been happening since the dawn of time. Most of the rest of us call it weather and weather has so many factors that in my neighborhood they can’t even forecast it accurately. I get a different version with just a channel change just like a different version of what caused global whining in the first fantasy of the gullible liberal.

Localized weather phenomena does not equal global climate trends. These so called meteorologist wouldn’t know pseudo science if it was spelled out on their telestrator. Some cursory reading on the subject of global climate trends will tell you that weather does not equal climate. I love this quote: “…maybe we would have seen 101, maybe we would have seen 102, but not 104”. Gotta blame someone, I blame my nosy, loud, obnoxious neighbor!

It was 106 degrees here yesterday for a brief time. Lowered to 104 for a much longer time. As miserable as it was, it has not been anything unusual. I remember similar days when I was a kid in the ’60s. Yeah, even before they were talking about the coming new ice age, that then changed into the global warming crap. In all my years the only changes that I have noticed seem to be cyclical and nothing more.

Considers global warming to be spring and summer. Climate change fall winter. If we didn’t have global warming we wouldn’t have food. If we didn’t have climate change we would all be brown. God loves variety.

I will never believe the manmade global warming stories. That is unless the stories I have read about HARRP are true and then yes, it is manmade but for a sinister purpose.

  I agree with that. They can’t control the weather, only God can, but they sure can play with nature and that is what is being done, not only here but all over the world. They are trying to create globalwarming and those messing with nature in any way will get their warming eventually but it won’t be on this globe.

Global warming could be occurring as a natural phenomenon. However, whether or not man’s activity contributes it is being used purely as a political tool. There have been ice ages, droughts, for millions of years. Most scientists say it’s related to solar activity, so let’s just go with that, as it seems the most reasonable. there was recently a very large solar storm.

  And that has been my thoughts on this all along — global warming/climate change is being used as a political tool. That is NOT to say it’s not happening; climate certainly appears to be changing. What causes it is debatable and I seriously doubt anyone knows for certain.
  
  That said, I think we must act on “what if” instead of burying our heads in the sand and claiming it simply cannot be. If there is only 1 chance in 1000 that man is attributing to climate change, is it truly worth it? If we kill off species, or drastically change our environment, or deplete our ozone layer, is it worth that chance? While we certainly cannot just change everything overnight, we can work towards becoming more environmentally friendly. No sane person wants to pollute our air or water even for financial benefit.
  
  Why in the heck is everyone so crazy far left or insanely far right? Has the entire world, both sides, gone completely mad? What ever happened to working together through troubles and problems? The right is truly no different than the left … both want to play the extremism game and every one of us pays for that.

You trying to tell God his business? The temperatures will be what God wants them to be for whatever reason He wants them to be. Global warming? Silly people quit trying to do God’s job and know you can change nothing one way or the other. Just read your Bible and take comfort in the knowlege that God has his world calibrated the way He wants it. He created it, now quit trying to play like you know something.

  How utterly useless you must be to think like that. God works through us. You say grace when you eat right? Good. Its good to give thanks, but God didn’t magic the food to your table did he? No you prepared it. We’ll how did it get to your house? God’s delivery service? No. You bought it. How did it get to the store? Some guy drove it there in a truck, not God. A farmer planted and tended and harvested the crop, and maybe a company put it in a can. God is not your nanny anymore than the government is. You want to make the world better? Do it yourself. You want to stop the world from getting worse. Do it yourself. If you expect God to do everything you’re no better than those who want massive Government.
