‘Genuinely Perverted’: Limbaugh Slams Obama’s Justifications for Attacking Romney

Rush Limbaugh has made no secret of the fact that, from day one, he has hoped for the political projects advanced by President Obama to fail. After all, Limbaugh argues, they are projects designed to bring America to heel rather than make the country great.

No hobby horse has been more beloved by Limbaugh in savaging President Obama’s policies than the President’s views on business and the economy, which he has attacked as the infantile delusions of a former community organizer who only sees his role as advocating for the most deliberately weak demographics in America, rather than trying to help everyone back on their feet. In fact, Limbaugh has argued repeatedly, based on the President’s attitude toward the rich and free enterprise, that President Obama sees economic success as an impediment to moral greatness, and the rich as parasites who steal from the poor.

His case has never been easier to make than now, after President Obama’s recent attacks on Mitt Romney. In the clip below, courtesy of the Daily Rushbo, Limbaugh plays (and responds to) a clip of President Obama responding to a question on the Charlie Rose show about those same attacks. Obama’s explanation devolves pretty much to arguing that the reason why Romney’s business success is fair game for attacks, rather than celebration, is because Romney didn’t get into business to create jobs, but instead to turn a profit. In other words, that Romney wasn’t a perfectly altruistic little snowflake.

Alert, Alert: If any of us think this attack on the part of the Obama campaign is frivilous or benighted please, please think again. This is a very carefully thought out and executed strategy to draw Romney into a “guilt by association” conundrum. If the Obama campaign can through inuendo and lies based on some shred of truth show that Romney was in fact connected to Bain after he asserts that he had severed all ties he could be linked to a company that Bain invested in during those following two years. This was a company that disposed of hospital waste (read aborted fetuses). Can you imagine the stigma. Also, if they get lucky, since the SEC is an arm of the Obama empire, and the case can be made that Romney was in fact connected to Bain, there could be the onus of an SEC enquirery during the next few months. There is an old saying in the insurance business. If you continually throw enough s..t against the wall, some of it with stick. It’s still s..t and it still stinks. For my part, this changes nothing regarding my vote. Romney’s not going to run us into the ground. But we are in for a very rough ride in the next few weeks if Romney is in any way linked to this company.

  I don’t think the attack is that sophisticated, besides…Romney ain’t biting. All they want out of this is for Romney be on record that he was part of Bain when the Stericycle deal went down in 2000. Stericycle is a medical waste management and recycling company that handles aborted fetus’ as part of their MANY services. This is a “wedge” strategy for the evangelicals…

My only fear is that as (conservatives), we are treating Obama like a dumb _ss. A pie in the sky liberal idiot who really believes in all the socialistic hogwash.

And if that’s the case, then the attitude of disdain is warranted.

But what if he’s not? What if he knows precisely what he’s doing and why? What if all this confusion and chaos is exactly what he wants?

If that’s the case then conservatives need to see this a bit differently.

The Affordable Healthcare Act will now make sure what she went through with coverages (finally got a settlement but too late) she was out of fight.

  RG…you do realize that you don’t automatically have insurance as a result of ACA…please tell me you know that. Sorry for your loss, but you do know there will be panels evaluating the cost / benefit of your loved ones situation…please tell me you know that and that you know these panels are used in end of life scenarios in England, Canada and in some cases Oregon. Finally you must know that the average wait time for actual procedures WILL increase as it has in all socialized healthcare environments. If you’ve done that well then certainly you can pay cash, which expedites the process and quality. ACA will not be an improvement over the current scenario of “heartless” insurance companies.

He was a terrible racist person because he disagreed totally with Obama and his ideas, but they were wonderful and open minded because they loved Obama and hated that terrible George Bush. This whole debate is nonsense, a SHAM. Time to remind people that the only function of government is to protect us from theft, preserve our constitutional rights, and protect us from foreign invaders. There is ZERO reason for the federal government to be doing anything with the economy and jobs – thats why they call it the ‘private’ sector. The GOP knows this, but they enjoy power too much.
