Sheriff Joe Arpaio appeared on the Mike Broomhead show today to discuss the results of an investigation he had conducted into President Obama’s alleged birth certificate, including a trip to Hawaii to try to gain access to the documents.

Characteristically, Arpaio did not hedge his statements with any qualifiers, stating unequivocally that the document released to the public was a fraud, and that “anybody [who's] an adult can get a birth certificate” in Hawaii, presuming you live there for a year and pay your taxes and phone bill. Arpaio did call for an investigation into this, at minimum, suggesting that even if President Obama’s birth certificate is left off the table, it should be a relevant question why Hawaii is allegedly issuing birth certificates to anyone who lives there for a year. Arpaio has also issued a press release to this effect.

No matter what happens regarding the Congressional investigation, one has to note that, if the practice Arpaio alleges actually happens, then it also introduces a thorny problem for those who argue that the President’s birthplace is not a settled issue. Clearly, Obama spent more than a year in Hawaii, and if the government is willing to retroactively issue birth certificates to anyone of whom this is the case, then it is effectively impossible to prove whether the certificate on record for Obama is, in fact, the one that was issued at his birth, since it would be dated and filed retroactively as though it had happened immediately.

Arpaio must have been aware of this problem, because when asked about what he wanted to happen to the President, he replied only, “I’m not telling him what to do, to tell him that he committed a crime. But someone had to be behind this forged document.”

In other words, Arpaio only wants a prosecution of the person responsible for creating the allegedly fraudulent copy of President Obama’s birth certificate, not of the President himself. In either case, however, he is unlikely to get it.

    Im going to start contacting my local media and ask if either they are unaware or delibertly chose not to inform their market? If others choose to do the same. Lets post the responses we get.

    This is part of the problem on how this is being reported. The issue is not whether the certificate issued at birth is his. The only way to determine that is to look at the microfiche. The State of Hawaii will not show that. The issue is, is the birth cert that Obama claimed was his a forgery? This legal inquiry says it is. That has legal implications.

    I can understand the media and federal law enforcement not wanting to persue claims that a Presidential canidate then President was foreign born when there was no conclusive evidence. Saying something like that without a smoking gun could make you look like a traitor to your party or rascist in the eyes of many. But, now, Obama has committed a felony that has been proven by law enforcement and this felony is a coverup of his fraud. This should have the attention of every federal law enforcement official, media outlet, and taxpayer until he has been brought to justice! Where are the prosecutors?

    I have called all my Reps. senate and Congressmen and told them that I haven’t and will not support them with any money or any other support until they find their Back Bone and put this Black Muslim behind bars where he belongs. Not one Senator or one Congress person hasn’ t done one thing to hold Obama accountable for all the laws he has broken. he is a Racist, A crook, liar, non American that has hidden school records and real Birth Certificate.     I see a bunch of people blasting Glenn…why? What does Sheriff Arpaio have to do with Glenn? I don’t see the connection here – yet people leave huge posts lambasting Glenn….That’s like blaming the nightly news for corn prices rising just because they reported on it. Makes no sense.

      Glenn has boarded the boat of fools on this subject. He has laughed at us birthers on his radio show. This will not go away. I don’t have a clue where the guy was born, if he is a citizen, natural or native, what his real name is, what his educational records would show and why he was basically disbarred (voluntarily gave up his license to practice, possibly lying about having ever used another name) and his wife has also had to give up her license to practice. We have dishonest people in the White House with much to hide. That is a fact!

    I had my suspicions about this. I find it interesting that the FBI accidentally destroyed their copy of Obama mom’s passport when the issue of the birth cirtificate came up. Especially, when Obama’s mom was under age. Then when the publisher of Obama’s book originally had notes that Obama was born in Kenya (later the publisher stated it was a mistake). Then when Obama’s grandma on the father side was interviewed she said he was born in Kenya. Then Obama refuses to disclose his funding source for graduate school (release the records Obama). Rumors state that he was on a foreign visa scholarship (who knows). If Obama was truely born in the U.S. then why do these issues keep coming up?

    Glenn has come down strongly on individuals who feel that this is something worth investigating. He has the right to his opinion and so does the Sherrif. If there is evidence it is phony, it should be investigated. I do not believe any Congressman or Senator will take this up at this time, and it certainly will not be investigated by the justice department. For those who want to continue to investigate, it is their right. I have not been following this, but will not condem those that have the passion and it appears a reason to continue to persue it.

    There is a picture with his Mom standing behind him, and her arm reaching around his Torso. Follow Mom’s arm, and after it runs past Obama’s Arm, the hand of Mom is a Black Man’s! Is it Frank Marshal David’s Hand? I’m saying yes! I think it was originally a picture of Obama with Frank and his Grandfather!

    I also believe more than ever that Obama’s Mom didn’t know who the Dad was! They didn’t have DNA back in the 60′s! I think that Mom was screwing around with Frank, while having a sham marriage with Barrack Obama, Sr, and that’s why by law he had Obama’s last name. That totally explains why his Mom and Grandfather would allow Obama to be essentially raised by Frank Marshal Davis! That wasn’t normal for a single mom, let alone grandparents, to let this OLDER man “Mentor” their child! It’s ALL coming together now!     WHEN – he refused to disclose who donated money to his election campaign, as other candidates had done, people said it didn’t matter.

    WHEN – he received endorsements from people like Louis Farrakhan, Muramar Kaddafi and Hugo Chavez, people said it didn’t matter.

    WHEN – it was pointed out that he was a total newcomer and had absolutely no experience at anything except community organizing, people said it didn’t matter.

    There’s no “IF’S” You saw the news briefing, the cert is a fake . We have a “President” in the White House who has a FAKE birth certificate. Maybe Obama doesn’t know its a fake. No one is cognitive at the time of birth to say where they were born, as Arpaio says BUT somebody faked that certificate and WHO is the question? And Hawaii should go to jail for covering and lying and lying and covering.

    Its been a duh since I first saw that BC on the White house page. It’s a big file so you can look at it clearly if you like. I have seen real BCs before and that wasn’t even close to anything real, plus the background was new… ok but….It wasn’t printed from a computer file like many are from other states now. This they claimed was a scan of the original. And they tried to make it look like a scan. Just to see a genuine one from Hawaii that came from someone born at that hospital around that time would be easy to compare. Here is a genuine one if you haven’t seen it. http://www.wnd.com/images/misc/gretchennordykebirthcertificate.png The background isn’t the same paper nor even the same “basket weave” design, besides all the other added mistakes on the White house one. It isn’t aged like a real one either. The point is someone created this fraud and whoever did should be prosecuted for these crimes against the people of this country. Congress must appoint a special prosecutor on this. And the real question is why would anyone make up a fake one if a real one existed???
