Van Jones Calls Obama’s ‘You Didn’t Build Your Business’ Comments the ‘Deepest Form of Patriotism’

Van Jones Calls Obamas You Didnt Build Your Business Comments the Deepest Form of Patriotism on MSNBCs Ed Schultz Show

On Monday, former White House advisor Van Jones appeared on MSNBC’s “The Ed Show” and slammed conservatives for unfairly attacking President Obama over his “you didn’t build” your business comments, saying the president’s remarks represented “the deepest form of patriotism.” Seriously.

But first, host Ed Schultz provided his own very special spin on Obama’s controversial statements. Predictably, Schultz bent himself into pretzels to defend the commander-in-chief.

“If you only watch Fox News, you might think the president was minimizing the hard work it takes to run a small business in America. But, in fact, President Obama was giving small business owners a lot of credit,” Schultz said. “He also pointed out that business folks need infrastructure and opportunity to succeed.”

He then played a clip from Obama’s speech that he gave at a campaign rally in Roanoke, Va., which Schultz said would put his comments into “context.” However, it was just a portion of the same clip that has been sending chills down the spines of Americans all over the country. This is what Obama told America’s innovators and business owners on Friday:

If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help.  There was a great teacher somewhere in your life.  Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that.  Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.

“Little different, isn’t it?” asked Schultz after playing the clip.

No, Ed. It isn’t. With all due respect, President Obama is clearly insinuating that success in America is not possible without the government. That is something that many people, on both sides of the political spectrum, disagree with adamantly.

Van Jones Calls Obamas You Didnt Build Your Business Comments the Deepest Form of Patriotism on MSNBCs Ed Schultz Show

But Jones, being a big government progressive, couldn’t agree with his former boss more. And he actually thinks the “whole world” agrees too.

“This is the deepest form of patriotism,” Jones told Schultz. “Here you have the President of the United States saying something that is absolutely obvious to the whole world and everybody in this country: America’s government has been a partner to America’s business community, that is a part of the beauty of America. It is deep patriotism to point that out.”

He continued, “When he starts showing the most love and the most enthusiasm for the country, that’s when they go after him.”

Schultz even tried to argue the outrage over Obama’s controversial comments is being manufactured by the “desperate” right-wing and the Romney campaign in an attempt to “get rid of the Bain story,” referring to the Obama campaign’s provably false claims that Mitt Romney oversaw the outsourcing of jobs while he was in charge at Bain Capital.

Van is not only a fan of Alinsky and Marx, he’s also obviously a George Orwell fan. In Orwell’s novel 1984, all terminology used by the government had the exact opposite meaning from its literal meaning. Here, in Orwell’s Newspeak, Jones uses the term “Patriotism” to mean its exact, polar opposite.

Even a dumb girl panelist on Fox defended BO’s comments claiming America is collectivist. These people really are sick, and truly lack understanding the dangers of collectivism.

Wow Ed, you and Van have stretched this story so thin that, as Guy Fieri says, it now only has one side. Here is what they don’t get, government got where it is only because there are taxpayers out there working their butts off. None of us are in any way an island to ourselves. But, acting and saying that society as whole cooperating and working together is socialism. These two goons make SOCIALISM_CROCKS almost sound sensible. Hmmm, that’s another thin one, but on my part.

BO hates America. In his book Audacity of hope on page 261 he states: In the wake of 911, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that( I will stand With Them) should the political Winds shift in an ugly direction…This is not allegiance to America, but to Arabs and muslims…It is quite obvious who Obama stands with and why we are on a destructive Path…I am sick of the cover up…this is Obama’s own words! When will the media quit covering up for him?

Not only that, the story of these meetings sounds as hokey as Clinton’s story of all of those black church burnings that occurred during his Arkansas childhood. It’s made up for effect and to make himself sound good in his own way of thinking.

Isn’t that sooo sweet!! All these psychotic loons on the left so in love with themselves, patting each other on the back in appreciation for their loving togetherness in voicing their hatred for America and how much they want to destroy it. I am sure their plans include happy thoughts of how rich and secure they will live the remainder of their holy-than-God lives once they rid the world of those disgusting people that disagree with them. Oh, happy days are coming again! Or is it ***-bay-ya?

    Poppycock.

Business people create their own opportunities. Infrastructure? Like sewers? Traffic signals? It’s no wonder why this station is on life support. And Van Jones’ comment on business? Ya, if you want to know how to take one down maybe.

MICMAC: Schultz said. “He also pointed out that business folks need infrastructure and opportunity to succeed.”

Especially those need those bridges and roads that go to nowhere, not to mention all those other community projects that cost the taxpayer money but have no function or value. In short, useful infrastructure draws people and business which are then taxed. Barry has just put an all new spin on increasing taxes. If businesses are required to pay more, goods and services go up in price to cover the added costs. This is nothing more than Barry’s screw the newly wed approach directed at businesses and ultimately the end user has to pay for it. Barry is simply full of BS. Van loves this kind of BS because he’s a bottom feeder aka self proclaimed marxist.

Barry and his legions are rip off artists!

What a load of crap. I founded my own business and no one has helped me. It wasn’t due to any infrastructure investment or education investment of the Federal Government. It has been hard work and I’m still struggling.
If our blessed Government would just get the hell out of the way, you could see our country thrive again but some of Mr. Jones’ precious entitlement programs might suffer. Too Frigging Bad.
