If you miss the live video of Restoring Love, be sure to watch it on-demand – see how here.
–
The opening prayer for “Restoring Love” wasn’t delivered by a revered faith leader or a well-known personality. Instead, Glenn Beck decided to invite people from the state of Texas — normal citizens — to come together and offer up a collective prayer to the Lord.
The individuals in the powerful video montage discuss the challenges in their lives and give thanks to God. Their collective words provide a realistic picture of the wide array of realities, difficulties and blessings that exist in our world.

Jul. 29, 2012 at 1:35amI live in Los Angels and love to get a dose of reality and heart warming prayers from real people instead of this liberal town. Does anyone know the song they used in this prayer? It was amazing?

Jul. 29, 2012 at 3:35amThe song is by called “To Be Free” by J.J. Linford. They’re two of the most gracious guys you’ll ever meet. They embody the message of love and service that Glenn shared tonight.
You can pick up the song here – http://jjlinford.bandcamp.com/track/to-be-free – and you can keep up to date with them here: https://www.facebook.com/j.j.linford.

Jul. 28, 2012 at 11:58pmDid the “prayer” include humble forgiveness for supporting Romney (and abortion, homosexuality, theft, lying, envy, forced socialism, etc.)? Or… are we REJECTING GOD’S COMMANDS AND GUIDANCE… AND STILL SUPPORTING THIS SIN… WHILE PRAYING FOR GOD TO BLESS US WITH A MENDED REPUBLIC, WE BELIEVE WE ARE SOMEHOW ENTITLED TO?

Jul. 28, 2012 at 11:45pmWhat a beautiful, heartfelt prayer. I wasn’t able to go to Texas for restoring love but I watched the whole thing on GBTV and it was AWESOME. I want to thank you Lord for enabling Restore Love to happen and to bring our world a little closer to each of us. Lord, please take these three days of Restoring Love and bring it forth 10 times Lord for this country. We give you thanks for ALL we have Lord and we pray that You bless all who were a part of Restoring Love and that you continue Your blessings on this country that we love so dear. Thank You Father God that the eyes of this nation is awakening to YOU, Lord and that as a nation we rededicate our nation to You and that the principals of this nation are remembered, re-taught, and recited in each of our hearts and that above all the glory of America shines upon You Lord. Our lives, our country, our very souls belong to You Father God. Please hold us close Lord so that we may glorify You in all that we do. Thank you Jesus. Amen

Jul. 29, 2012 at 3:09amTo dedicate the nation to the Christian God would be totally unconstitutional.

Jul. 29, 2012 at 3:48pmThank you Granny,
I liked your prayer and it is good to hear the hearts of people who know the source of life is more than a pile of mud. (video)
We owe so much to those who have sacrificed themselves for others.
The unselfish heart abides in a humble servant and one who recognizes he is created and designed by a wonderful God.
Only the selfish heart is blinded by his deception that his existence is his own and cannot be taken back. Foolish heart where were you before you where born? This is where you will end up.
bless you Granny :)
