Westboro Shows Up in Dallas to Protest Beck — And Wait Until You Hear One Anti-Westboro Protester’s Shock View

Exclusive Live & On Demand Coverage of Restoring Love Available Now on GBTV Plus – Click for Details.

TheBlaze already told you about the fact that the Westboro Baptist Church, the radical, anti-gay group known for picketing fallen soldiers’ funerals, has been planning to protest Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Love.” On Saturday, they made good on that pledge, as they assembled near Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas, to purportedly sing, chant and speak out against Beck.

Also in attendance were anti-Westboro picketers who stood firmly against the radical “church” members. Interestingly, at least one of the counter-protesters set out to target Beck as well. “Westboro/Beck: I Can’t Decide Who Is Worse.”

(Related: Westboro Baptist Church, Code Pink to Protest at Beck’s Restoring Love: ‘We Will Warn the Living to Flee’)

Naturally, we wanted to know why the protester was so conflicted, especially considering Westboro’s bizarre track record. After all, Beck is hosting “Restoring Love,” an inspirational event devoted to service and caring for one another. Westboro, as has been evidenced by the group’s past actions, is devoted to picketing funerals and damning homosexuals (and many others) to hell.

“I think if I had to decide, I don’t know, Beck has a lot more power than Westboro does,” she said. “He’s going to reach a lot more people with his views that I personally don’t agree with.”

While this particular protester was more negative about Beck, others in the group expressed positivity toward “Restoring Love” participants and the event, itself.

Watch TheBlaze’s interview with the anti-Westboro protesters, below:

“I don’t really like [Beck] in the city,” she said, referring to the television and radio host’s move to Dallas. “But at the same time, I don’t really like Westboro being in our city either.”

The protesters also told TheBlaze that Westboro refused to engage them, as they simply sang spoof songs and spouted some of their regular messaging. Here’s what Westboro posted on its website prior to the event unfolding:

Glenn Beck despises God, and he proudly says so. He climbs on WBC backs to have an issue for his radio program.

God has Smacked Glenn Beck already, giving him a little child with disease, but that doesn’t even slow Beck down. He is wholly incapable of seeing the Hand of God at work in this earth, and he flatly refuses to give the Glory of God’s work, TO GOD! He worships Mr. Peanut, a god that has no power, and worse

WBC will be at Cowboys Stadium where Beck will be inside hocking his false religious system and his rebellion against God to some other rebels agianst God, and we will warn the living to flee from that place, lest you should become a partaker of Glenn Beck’s sin.

1Ti 5:22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other mens sins: keep thyself pure.

In the end, nothing new to see here.

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Didn’t Glenn and his wife choose this child? That would make him a gift from God and man’s choice. This child is a blessing. What would WB have done to/with him? I think we all know the answer to that. The Beck family is always in my prayers.

Westboro is a business, not a church … it just poses like a church. Their agenda is to infuriate and to invoke physical response on which they can file suit.

It is a For Profit organization with good legal council … difficult to battle, so most places respond by isolating their demonstrations any more … They publish a continuing list of events that they will attend so people can prepare … They are from Kansas and outside pressure has accomplished nothing. They DID however lose a suit not long ago which cost them dearly. Let’s hope for more!

Stealing in the name of the Lord … wasn’t that a song?

Westboro’s message is demonically twisted. How to explain it…it’s as if they’re blaming soldiers for the actions of Progressive politicians. Instead of protesting the politicians for allowing homosexuality to be prevalent in society, they go after the men and women who decided to protect the country from tyranny, and laugh at their deaths for having stood up for the country they love. But as you see on their protest sign boards, “soldiers died 4 *** marriage” and so forth and on, they’ve clearly lost their way of logic. it’s the ones in power, not the ones who desired to stand up for this country so we can live free.

So to answer the disillusioned protester who would ask, I’m not sure who’s worse, Beck or Westboro, you should really think about what’s best for this country as a whole. Do you wish to live as you see fit? or do you wish to live under a cloud of deceit and tyranny?

Christians don’t care about somebody being gay, they just don’t want you to use their religion to push what they see as a twisted ideology of marriage, ie, don’t use the word of GOD to marry your same sex partner. That’s not what GOD teaches us. And Homosexuals are so hell bent on trying to change this view, they don’t realize that if this place were ran by Muslim Extremists, the very group Obama’s Administration calls ‘peaceful’, they’ll all be hanging by their tongues and necks.

I don’t think this could be said any better, but I welcome somebody to legitimately try..

I’ve never understood what WBC ever stood for. They hate too much for it to be love. They spew angry words at everyone, yet call themselves a ‘church’.

Now that they have shown up to protest the thousands of people, along with Glenn Beck, for spending their time selflessly giving service to others…well, I finally get it.

The WBC stands for nothing. They obviously don’t believe in God, they hate the military, gays, the wealthy, the poor, the honorable and the thieves and the United States of America, her flag, her anthem and her history.

    Man, what an empty existance………………..

But how in the heck does these people think they are saying of Glenn loves God or not? Who the heck are they to say if the God he looks to is supportive or not?

Now this is an honest liberal. She doesn’t want people to hear beck’s views… WHY? SCARED they will make more sense than the liberal BS you believe?

Libs are really going off the deep end for obama. “You didn’t build that…” Defending members of terrorist organizations in the WH. Applauding the fed suing states for actually TRYING to enforce immigration laws. Suing states for TRYING to ensure ALL VOTERS ARE ACTUALLY CITIZENS.

Westboro doesn’t know the New Testament very well. “And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” (John 9:2-3) They are really not paying attention if they think that Glenn’s handicapped daughter is because he did something wrong. She’s a beautiful child of God.

honestly…i stopped being shocked by them WBC. seriously, i just laugh my ass off at them. Come on look at these aholes! whats not to make fun of. If their is a god, these wetboro people is one of gods biggest jokes. the more we laugh at them the less power they and the other progressive groups have. we need to quit taking them seriously. their views are not to be taken seriously, they are to be debunked by the truth, then ridiculed, then marginalized and finally forgotten, just like the people who espose them. westboro should be treated like 9th class citizens, the ‘unclean and untouchable’ in the modern world, the mental lepers. you toy with them like a cat then put them out of their misery like a mouse….any questions?

The Baptists of the world must be doing some real damage to satan’s stronghold for that he11-hound to put the name ‘Baptist’ on his hate-group of supporters! God does NOT hate sinners! He said in John 3:16 that “God so loved the world” and qualified who can be saved in the same verse: “whosoever”. Does God hate sin? Yes, 100% of it – even mine until it was covered by the saving blood of Jesus Christ.
The O’commie in Washington is closer to being a baptist than any of this cult.
Please just ignore them and related hate groups like the KKK.

Westboro Baptist Church: a family of lawyers led by a former Baptist pastor and disbarred lawyer who has run for governor of Kansas five times on the Democratic ticket, who have no visible means of support, but can afford a “compound” and plane tickets for multiple family members to multiple destinations almost daily. Ever wonder where their money comes from?

It’s rather ironic actually. A group of hate filled extreme Calvinists who don’t understand Scripture are protesting an event held by a mormon who also doesn’t fully understand Scripture himself. I am not casting judgement on either party, but if you receive this as “judgmental,” just read 1 Corinthians 5:12-13.

As moronic as westboro is, I believe they have no influence over anyone, in my humble opinion.
Even though I’m sure this event is going to be an uplifting event, I’m worried about how much power Beck has over his audience. He preaches a very dangerous form of universalism.
Go ahead and continue to watch him and listen to his words, but take heed. Challenge what he says with Scripture. Also look more into mormonism. I find it odd that one of the biggest “conservative” voices in America is Glenn Beck (a mormon) and the candidate challenging Obama is also a mormon.

Truth is truth. We live in a world where truth and falsehood is divided by a very thin line.

Christ is love, Christ is God, Christ is Truth. Everything else that isn’t Christ, is worthless.

i have a hard time believing that anyone understands the word of god and is qualified to speak his motives. especially those who can only quote scripture. GOD will let you know what he wants from you not the bible, not the torah, certainly not the stupid koran. the fact that people quote scripture only means they can memorize thats it. The bible is a fun read, but a book of letters that has been rewritten, mistranslated, doctored, modified, omitted based on a persons personal hangups and desires, is hardly gods word. and that goes for all books, including other religions. Faith is whats created when a person tells you something that does not make sense is gods word. God will let you know what you need to do. god will help you but he will also make you do for yourself even more. God had given us the tools for freedom, and to thrive. now its time to use them and get off gods d**k -the book of Jason chapter1 verse1
