Westboro Shows Up in Dallas to Protest Beck — And Wait Until You Hear One Anti-Westboro Protester’s Shock View

Exclusive Live & On Demand Coverage of Restoring Love Available Now on GBTV Plus – Click for Details.

TheBlaze already told you about the fact that the Westboro Baptist Church, the radical, anti-gay group known for picketing fallen soldiers’ funerals, has been planning to protest Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Love.” On Saturday, they made good on that pledge, as they assembled near Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas, to purportedly sing, chant and speak out against Beck.

Also in attendance were anti-Westboro picketers who stood firmly against the radical “church” members. Interestingly, at least one of the counter-protesters set out to target Beck as well. “Westboro/Beck: I Can’t Decide Who Is Worse.”

(Related: Westboro Baptist Church, Code Pink to Protest at Beck’s Restoring Love: ‘We Will Warn the Living to Flee’)

Naturally, we wanted to know why the protester was so conflicted, especially considering Westboro’s bizarre track record. After all, Beck is hosting “Restoring Love,” an inspirational event devoted to service and caring for one another. Westboro, as has been evidenced by the group’s past actions, is devoted to picketing funerals and damning homosexuals (and many others) to hell.

“I think if I had to decide, I don’t know, Beck has a lot more power than Westboro does,” she said. “He’s going to reach a lot more people with his views that I personally don’t agree with.”

While this particular protester was more negative about Beck, others in the group expressed positivity toward “Restoring Love” participants and the event, itself.

Watch TheBlaze’s interview with the anti-Westboro protesters, below:

“I don’t really like [Beck] in the city,” she said, referring to the television and radio host’s move to Dallas. “But at the same time, I don’t really like Westboro being in our city either.”

The protesters also told TheBlaze that Westboro refused to engage them, as they simply sang spoof songs and spouted some of their regular messaging. Here’s what Westboro posted on its website prior to the event unfolding:

Glenn Beck despises God, and he proudly says so. He climbs on WBC backs to have an issue for his radio program.

God has Smacked Glenn Beck already, giving him a little child with disease, but that doesn’t even slow Beck down. He is wholly incapable of seeing the Hand of God at work in this earth, and he flatly refuses to give the Glory of God’s work, TO GOD! He worships Mr. Peanut, a god that has no power, and worse

WBC will be at Cowboys Stadium where Beck will be inside hocking his false religious system and his rebellion against God to some other rebels agianst God, and we will warn the living to flee from that place, lest you should become a partaker of Glenn Beck’s sin.

1Ti 5:22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other mens sins: keep thyself pure.

The disgust registered by groups such as the WBC is real. For all of the hate WBC spews, it pales in comparison to the manifested hatred of humanity by groups who embrace a philosophy of atheistic materialism. The so called “Christian” organizations like the WBC just shout and march. The materialists murder on a massive scale, as indicated by their record within the 20th century alone.

Lenin/Stalin of the Soviet Union, and all of their smaller successors.
The National Socialist Workers Party of Germany from 1933 – 1945 led by Hitler
    Mao Tse Tung of China
    Pol Pot of Cambodia
    Fidel Castro of Cuba
Kim Il Sung and his son Kim Sung Il of North Korea

The guiding philosophy of these historic miscreants leads to the most vile hatred of mankind history has ever seen, and their hate is for everyone outside of their inner circle. This hatred is manifest in the U.S. in a number of ways, the first of which is to kill millions before they are even born.

WBC is a hate group, but unlike those who disguise their hatred of people and life under the guise of Social Justice, WBC does not hide. That might be the only good to be said of them.

I am grateful to Glen Beck for showing people a better life path, and for encouraging people to make choices in life which contibute to helping others and to becoming a helpful member of society by doing good works. This is a path to a good life. The path of atheistic materialism leads only to death.

“A woman[a] should learn in quietness and full submission.”

There it is, the “S” word. However, submission is not limited to wives submitting to their husbands. We are told to submit to God, governmental authorities, our boss, and leaders in the church. We are also told to submit to one another, which includes men submitting women and vice versa. God is a God of order. In a sinful world, submission to those in authority is the only way to maintain order. What form does this submission to authority take? In every instance where submission is called for wives, it is conditioned with the phrase “as to the Lord” or some other reference to Jesus Christ. The submission takes on the form of being in the will of God. If the husband asks the wife to do something outside the will of Christ, she is under no obligation to follow him.

Women are more verbal than men, and when they get together, they tend to move from subject to subject. In the synagogues, the women were segregated from the men. If they had any questions on the worship or the teachings, they would have had to shout them over to the men, or discuss them among themselves, which would have resulted in an inability to maintain order. In addition, Paul emphasizes that his rules for church are given so that everything would be “done in a fitting and orderly way.” (1 Corinthians 14:40) Disorderly communication, such as uninterrupted speaking in tongues, was not encouraged.

This girl that was interviewed said that she didn’t agree with Glenn Beck’s views and didn’t like him in the city. That is so typical of her generation. The 20 year old kids think that they know everything and that its all about me, me, me. I heard a saying once that “youth is wasted on the young” and this girl typifies that saying. She wouldn’t know truth if it stared her in the face. She’s going to go through the shoulda, coulda, woulda stage I guess with the other sheep. Nothing wrong with disagreeing with people but people are free to think what they want to think in America right? Glenn is a good person and he is a beacon of patriotism and truth to those that want to hear the truth. If someone doesn’t want to hear the truth then watch MSM. 2 + 2 = 4 not 5. God bless America.

The cover with the pic of G.B. has two Scriptures; Jer.5:31, and Titus 1:11. I’m requesting that mature Followers read all of Jer.5, and all of Titus 1 to receive the context, and the meat.

What a country we live in. The “haters” protesting are a part of the freedom we have. Their message is available for anyone to evaluate. Approve? Condemn? Let their message stand for all to see and hear. I’m comfortable with that.

Thank goodness Glenn has more “power”; if Westboro had that much power, instead of merely sending out polite interviewers, they would probably be trying to burn gay protestors such as these in public out on a big stake. I would offer that the lady protestor give some deep thought to that aspect.

It’s Sunday, the 29th of July and the city fine Christian People of Moore, Oklahoma proudly welcome the members of Westboro Baptist to our community. You will be visiting 4 local churches this morning and we truly hope you will be enlightened by observing true Christian communities in action, an action of love, service and worship. We don’t spend our time traveling across the country spewing hatred, but find that there is plenty to do in our own community, you know, those silly little things like feeding the hungry, caring for the sick, the dying, the incarcerated, thelowly, the poor, the forgotten, and lest we forget, the Spiritually hungry. These are the works a Christian is to be doing and we do it gladly.

The worst part of me has conceived many ways to embarrass you this morning, but I won’t, for the Better part of me, The Christian part will simply bid you “good morning”.

By their works ye shall know them. Hate is just another form of fear brought on by a lack of knowledge. The more people try to find the good in others the more they will not only understand others they will learn to understand themselves and their family. Love opens doors to knowledge, hate closes that door.

Jase, I checked it out and you are correct. I was confused. Those are two different groups. The Westboro church is the one that hates homosexuals, and Terry Jones is the guy that hates Muslims. Sometimes I get confused about which Christian group hates which other group.

You are correct and I was wrong.

Try harder– I certainly never get confused over what groups you and those on the left hate– but that may be because you tell us everyday who you hate..

My wife and I just got home from Arlington and it was a beautiful uplifting experience.

We saw the WBC protesters and they were a seemingly harmless insignificant little group. I can’t get over their statement- “Glenn Beck despises God and proudly says so.” I can personally testify that the opposite is true. The man I witnessed tonight was all about glorifying God and giving Him credit. He also gave us credit as Americans, reminding us of where we came from and the good we are capable of. God is definitely at work in Beck’s life, and all throughout our country.
Thank you, Father. Thank you for sending nurturing cheerleaders who go out of their way to remind us of what our lives can be when we look to you first and always.

These people are loons but some posters are not much better about preaching their own Christian beliefs as they keep trying to tell us who is actually a Christian or not. Leave it to to God as we all believe (excluding atheists) in our own way. I have my own personal relationship with God, so do Mormons & it’s not up to you to judge us. Mother Teresa was a true Christian, she loved & took cared of the sick & the poor without ever judging.

These people are even more insane then Mormons. I AM, the first commandment, not WE ARE, Mormon beliefs regarding the trinity are indeed terrible theology, any religion created by a man will be corrupted just like Islam. But at least at the core Mormon values inherit from Christianity and are wholesome, which is still more then I can say for these Westboro NUTJOBS.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23

Seriously now – does anyone ever see any of these in the westboro baptist people? Ever? Me neither. I pray one day they will allow God to melt their hearts of hate and come to know really know Him.

Until then – it’s just like that new(er) saying:

“Live life in a way to where the westboro baptist “church” will want to protest your funeral.”

The truth is, Westboro would have picketed Jesus Christ as during his Sermon on the Mount- no joke. Christ himself could walk into their midst and they would hold up a sign in His face spewing their hate. That’s about where these fools are….
