The Bachmann Treatment? CNN Plays ‘Stupid Girls’ Before Report About Sarah Palin & Chick-Fil-A

A CNN segment on Sunday morning started off a report about 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin showing her support for Chick-fil-A with the pop song “Stupid Girls.”

NewsBusters flagged the segment, which featured the Pink song as a lead in to host Randy Kaye’s discussion:

[Music and lyrics]: Aha, aha. Stupid girl, stupid girls, stupid girls. Maybe if I act like that…

RANDI KAYE, ANCHOR: Sarah Palin is apparently hungry for chicken and controversy. She posted this on Twitter and Facebook: “Stopped by Chick-fil-A in the Woodlands to support a great business.” That is her and her husband Todd. Chick-fil-A has come under fire after, we were just telling you, after its president Dan Cathy came out in opposition to same-sex marriage. Several communities now trying to block Chick-fil-A from coming into their cities. Fellow Republican Mike Huckabee has organized that Chick-fil-A appreciation day scheduled for Wednesday.

Jazz Shaw at Hot Air observed that cable news anchors generally have nothing to do with the bumper music selected for their segments, usually handled by production staff instead.

“CNN can – and probably will – easily say that it was all a coincidence and it might be hard to prove otherwise,” Shaw wrote.

Last year, then-Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann was introduced on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” to the song “Lyin’ Ass Bitch.” NBC ultimately apologized to Bachmann for the off-color song choice.

  As I told all of you long ago, it’s time to hold the media responsible for their action on a more personal plateau. Shun those that work in the media- at the bowling alleys; at the grocery store at little league games; at the movies; at the Red Lobster; at the mall—anywhere you encounter someone in the news media metaphorically spit on them and let them know they are regarded lower than the worst of the used car salesman.

  He means the production staff is responsible for abysmal content and falsifying information, as NBC did in the Zimmerman tapes by editing our some words and including others, and CBS did when it doctored the tapes of Zimmerman to make it appear as if he had no injuries.
  
  Or, how about the producer for Dan Rather? I’m referring to the radical leftist zealot who thought it was her job to falsify info about Bush, which got both her and Rather fired.
  
  These despicable liars will stoop to any lengths in trying to advance their perverted, disgusting agenda, especially since telling the truth about it will reveal the stupidity of it all.

  Hey, I’ve been avoiding the MSM for so long, I hardly know they exist. Even my local news paper was getting so liberal, printing letters constantly from ultra-liberal points of view from the local libs, I had to cancel the local paper too. Garbage in-garbage out, but not for me.
  We have a group of local libs who demean everything good. Thank goodness (forgive me Lord) one of the worst just died, but others have taken his place. I keep wondering where these people come from and why they believe such socialistic ideas, like they want Hitler and communism to take over and control us again.

I am thoroughly disgusted by the mainstream news media and entertainment media. Time and time again they demonstrate their obvious bias and blantantly dishonest or unprofessional behavior. The Zimmerman 911 call editing (which arguably led to anger resulting in some deaths), the Andrea Mitchell Romney speech editing, among many. I have stopped giving them my business long ago. Apparently others have as well as can be seen by CNN’s ratings plummet. But the idiots at CNN still don’t understand why. They seem to think their ratings plummet is over style.

CNN, listen up. It is unprofessionalism like this incident that resulted in your ratings plummet. You honestly deserve to go out of business and I hope you do.

  I, too, was disgusted with the media and stopped watching broadcast stations in May 2008 when mainstream media died. Stopped watching Fox News when they kicked Glenn out and O’reilly proved himself a bloviating nutcase. Then, recently I discontinued satellite tv since there were only a handful of stations that I would watch other than the church tv channels. I get all my news, sports, and media from XM and broadcast radio and the internet.

  I do am disgusted with the media. I only watch Fox now. My spouse watches the other chanels to see what the masses are being fed. It aggravates me too much so I only watch the station I like. I have cancelled subscriptions to magazines that have liberal bias and our local newspaper which is a commie rag. People on fox preach to not boycott but I will boycott those celebrities that are liberal like Oprah, and of course the obvious ones like Bill Maher, Joy Bahar, Michael Moore, Sean Penn, etc. I won’t watch their movies or their programs. If we lose Fox then it is over for America so Rupert Murdoch better live forever!

  How is the current media any different from the media of 100 years ago, or even more? In 1898, with William Randolph Hearst was cheering on the sidelines for a war with Spain, based on the supposed Spanish involvement in the explosion on the USS Maine in harbor in Cuba. Hearst was absolutely doing the bidding of McKinley and V.P. Teddy Roosevelt, who had a big hard-on for conquering the Philippines from Spain. No President of the United States had a seriously adversarial position with the press until Tricky Dick Nixon. I well remember him telling the press that “You won’t have Dick Nixon to kick around any more” after he lost as governor of CA in 1962.

  Need any more proof this nation has been turned over to a reprobate mind? Check the list of actions and PC “morality” listed in Romans 1:18-32; it’s all demonstrated, from our election campaign rhetoric and voting trends, MSM, to OWS in varying degrees. We’re under God’s judgement folks (v32 Who _knowing the judgment of God,_ that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them).
  
  I know Glenn is optimistic we can take this country back… I’m not so sure. Have we spit in the face of God one too many times? Looking at the roughly 40/40/20 political breakdown of the electorate and the corruption that exists in the 40% (Republican) “conservative” element and loosely defining them as the most Biblically based (assuming that the 20% “independents” are split between us believers fed of with both sides and raging leftists), what would be left of this nation if God would “purge” this land of its sin… not enough to survive, I fear.
  
  Looking at the emergence of a One-World evil and the state of world politics, we MAY be entering a period of tribulation that this world has never seen and will never see again. If THAT is the case, the rules have changed and only those who are listed among God’s remnant will survive. Regardless, the days ahead will be painful.   Anderson Cooper is under Rahm’s Desk counting all of Rahm’s corrupt hush Money. Rahm will sentence Chick -Fil-A to Hussein’s diversity sensitivity regulations for spreading the fast food wealth, and tax the H out of the Chicago fast food restaurant. Or Chick Fil-A can drop off a $200,000 a month under Rahm’s Desk and move in to Chicago to get your taxes. Or, on the alternative to dying Chicago, Chick Fil-A can open up another fast food restaurant in Florida or Texas. That’s like choosing between opening a restaurant in Detroit or Austin

Even MSNBC is beating them at the numbers. That is not saying much but CNN is going down the tubes because of this type of stuff .. Rather than do news they kiss the progressives behind. I quit watching CNN years ago. Turner best keep his politics out of the news. It is his privilage to have progressive opinions, but to feed us the drivel day after day is why fewer people are watching.

I got into an argument yesterday with a good friend of mine who is gay himself. He and his partner of 30 years are great guys. But on this subject he totally, passionately believes, (and said so in these exact terms) that the President of Chick-Fil-A, or of any other company, for that matter should NOT BE ALLOWED to express an anti-gay-marriage position. It was shocking to hear a person who has always been a reasonable person take such a blatantly anti-freedom position. And, according to him, this bigoted position is held almost across the board by most gays.
