‘E. Coli Club’: Pelosi Compares Republicans to Food Poisoning

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has never been a woman known for her gentle phrasing regarding the views of her political opponents. She certainly wasn’t today when, while speaking on the subject of conservative Orthodoxy, she let this straw man fallacy fly:

Per National Review:

This video shows Nancy Pelosi railing against conservative ideology, which she characterized as, “We shouldn’t have a government role, so reduce the police, the fire [presumably, she means fire-fighters], the teachers.” Pelosi says she says to conservatives who espouse these views, “Do you have children who breathe the air? Do you have grandchildren who drink water?” So, in Nancy Pelosi’s world, firefighters, police, and teachers ensure the safety of our air and water . . .

Pelosi’s choice of metaphor raises an additional question. If conservatives can be analogized to an e. coli infection, which is by definition a medical affliction, then does that mean Obamacare covers conservatism as a disease? Moreover, does Pelosi really want to journey down this particular rhetorical path? One can easily imagine a rhetorical riposte involving food-borne menaces that, while equally childish, would probably hold currency with Pelosi’s opponents.

  If the Republicans keep the seats they have now & win the Presidency, I figure Pelosi will hang it up. She probably figured the pendulum would swing in 2 to 4 years & she would be Queen of the House of Representatives. Your right she wants that power back.
  
  Her other problem is medical. Recent studies have shown that people who undergo botox display less empathy when conversing with others. Not all cues/information in conversation is verbal. Botox lovers can’t respond to other people’s facial expression with all that poison affecting their facial nerves. Being a power mad aristocrat worth around 100 million dollars who preaches class warfare, i am not sure how much empathy she had to start with.

Dingbat Pelosi, we don’t need the government to protect us from E. Coli! To prevent E. Coli, all INDIVIDUALS have to do is cook their food THOROUGHLY. Simple precautions such as not eating raw meat, washing your vegetables, washing your hands, etc. goes a lot longer way than blindly counting on the government to do anything.

So then the equations become:

Conservative = food poisoning.
Democratic = The Black Death

Considering the ongoing destruction of the nation, the vitreolic beyond spite and hypocrisy and the absolute moral and ethical bankruptcy of the Democratic party, the comparison shoud be more like this:

Conservative Americans = free nation.
Democratic Party (Obama, Pelosi, Reid, etc.) = Apocolype of the Four Horsemen.
