Romney Will Beat Obama in November — According to This 84% Accurate Cockroach Race

Here’s a little bit of election silliness for your Tuesday morning.

The results are in. Mitt Romney has won a close, but decisive victory over Barack Obama in the New Jersey Pest Management Association’s (NJPMA) 15th Presidential Cockroach Derby.

Romney Beats Obama In The Annual Roach Race

The NJPMA holds this race every four years — yes, it is a publicity stunt. However, the group claims to have an 84% accuracy rate in predicting election results.

CBS News in Philadelphia reports:

Back in 2008, Obama’s bug beat McCain’s, and in the Bush v. Gore race, the Gore roach won “by barely an antennae’s length.” Unsurprisingly, that race was mired in controversy—much like its real-life counterpart.

Do they still make Raid, the bugspray ?? They could have made a cute commercial out of this race – I remember the old tv commercials, which always ended with a frightened bug yelling –
” r-r-r-r-R-R-R-R-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-I-I-I-I-I-I-ddd ?? ???? ”
Did PETA get involved in this, or have a comment ? I agree that some pols are like roaches, though.

This is BS, Democrats get the help of libertarian candidates to get elected if the race happens to be close, like Bill Clinton used Poirot twice, so Obama will get the help of Gary Johnson this November…..

  I wont vote Gary Johnson, and I am libertarian. I seen him in the beginning debates when he was running for republican spot….the guy is a dope, and although i think that is fine, he does not deserve to be seated in the WH…..

  I’ve been to Florida, and I’ll never overcome my repulsion to seeing a cockroach skittering up a stucco wall, only to drop off with a plunk. Or one on my toothbrush. Or running across the dashboard of the car.
