‘Real News From The Blaze’: Which Rising GOP Stars Shined Most From Tampa?

National party conventions have historically provided a platform for not only the presidential nominee, but rising stars in his party. Bill Clinton in 1988, Barack Obama in 2004, and Ronald Reagan in 1964 all gave primetime speeches at their respective conventions introducing the future presidents to national stage. With the nation watching this year’s Republican National Convention, many were introduced for the first time to the likes of Utah congressional candidate Mia Love, New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, among others. The speakers gave a peek of what the GOP could look like moving forward, in addition to testing their own political accuman and charisma on the biggest of stages.

On “Real News From The Blaze” Friday the panel discussed the speeches from newcomers at this week’s convention, in addition to grading the overall speaking performances of well-known Republicans and key components to the ticket, like Ann Romney, Paul Ryan, Condi Rice, and Sen. I was impressed with the ultimate minorities depicted on Romney’s biography – actual surviving small business owners. Didn’t realize any of those exist any more.

You are just a troll. I am breaking my usual ignoring of trolls to remind all of us in this post to not respond to trolls. They get thrills when we do.
How can you be a leader and an employee at the same time. Is that your problem? You know very little about life. eg: coach/team connection, teacher/student connection, boss/worker connection, Pastor/congregant connection…I could go on. All lead but there is a bigger goal. The coach does not win the trophy, the team does. How many times does O say I, my and me in a speech? In fact it takes a strong leader to show the way to smaller Gov.

  As an American and a veteran I’d like to remind voters; Veterans serve for our right to hold elections while having a public platform to express our concerns as “Americans.” When I enlisted I put my faith in our elected reps. and that their decisions were based immediately on the concerns of the nation and all it’s citizens. When Mitch McConel made his leadership and governing priority to undermine Obamas success as a president to make him a 1 term president, I was shocked. Democrat or republican no represantive be motivated to make policy this way, what about America? I support everones right to disagree, most of us Americans want the best for our country that’s why we feel so strongly. But please, during this time too many are attacking others for having a different opinion. Have a little dignity, the troops you support serve in the name of freedom. Represantives and citizens encouraging hate or anger inspired remarks should be discouraged by there peers.

I was very impressed with Gov. Martinez – she was excellent! Spoke from the heart. Hopefully, she will bring more Hispanic voters to the party.

Rubio and Ryan out shined them all…..Ann Romney was awesome but in a different catagory as spouse of the nominee and not an office holder.

Mia Love is not there yet but shows great potential as a future force in conservative politics

The Blaze/Becl TV needs better, more savvy conservative intellectuals as part of its news team. It’s really lame. Have any of the young people you hire read or studied Edmund Burke, De Tocqueville, or Russell Kirk? Or Calvin’s INSTITUTES regarding politics, gov’t, and biblical morality? I saw nothing but good speeches and terrific people at the convention. I thought it was a great success, even Eastwood. They really appear to care about the elderly, don’t they, and things said about Mia Love…wow …all of that respect from the left…sickening isn’t it? We will never get any respect from the left as long as Obama, the divider is holding office and controlling the misfits in the media.

“Stars”?

I thought we were looking for servants, people willing to work for us.
I don’t know about you, but the current administration + the clintons have left me with enough “star” time, that if I EVER see anyone else trying to be or thinking he/she is a star, I may just deck the fool right there on the spot.

IMO, “stars” belong in the sky and have nothing, NO-THING, to do with earth. That we have idolized people is OUR fault and something GOD told us NOT TO DO a long, long time ago. Such slow learners we are.

Susann Martinez , mayor love , rand paul , rubio , ryan him self (went to the rally today in Richmond Awsome) several other hispanis that were there , Ann romeny was great , (she is going to be a great first lady )

  Dont forget Christie, Rubio and Mia Love. Everyone was great, very happy with the ticket and great convention. I plan on watching the DNC, just to compare and see how much they copy…
