Blaze Reporter Required To Show ID Three Times To Enter DNC Convention

How’s this for irony: Democratic convention organizers are requiring journalists applying for press credentials to display their state-issued ID not once, not twice, but three times.

The stringent ID rules for journalists at the Democrat Party’s convention seem a bit odd considering the party’s broad, alarmist stance on voter ID laws. The ID laws have drawn harsh criticism from the liberal establishment, including Vice President Joe Biden who has called the practice “voter suppression” and MSNBC hosts who’ve called the laws “racist” and “a GOP conspiracy.”

But for some reason, ID rules aren’t racist when it comes to security at the Democrat National Convention.

Here are the three times photo ID’s were required:

1. Security Entrance

2. When Receiving Press Credentials

3. When Receiving Credentials For The Final Night Events

The DNC Press Credential packet itself states that two official forms of ID are necessary for admittance:

  Silly. The headline suggested (I thought) he was triple I.D. because he was a blaze reporter. Voter I.D. is designed purely to stop legitimate dems from voting, under the dog whistle politics of an almost non-existent problem. They tried it with a poll tax so poor couldn’t vote. Tried it saying only landowners could vote. Tried it with a literacy test….”Echoing the language of the 15th Amendment, the Voting Rights Act prohibits states from imposing any “voting qualification or prerequisite to voting, or standard, practice, or procedure … to deny or abridge the right of any citizen of the United States to vote on account of race or color.” Guess who the photo I.D. requirement affects the most???

  Demasheep, you we`re never a replublican( probably trolling)! They just discovered ther`s 30,000 dead people registered to vote in NC. I have to show an ID to rent a rug doctor (carpet cleaner). Your true fear is if you can`t cheat, you can`t win. This election is going to make 2010 look like it was close!!!

  I have read reports that states with this new law mailed every single resident months ago, and that the IDs can be obtained for FREE!!! How in the FUDGE does that suppress all the “poor” people from voting?!?

  I am still trying to understand how asking for ID is against the poor. Do you not have to show ID for medicade and wellfare and foodstamps?
  
  In everystate you can get a photo ID from the DMV. You don’t have to be rich to do it. If you are so conserned about the expense for the poor then get the fees waved and make it free to get a state issued ID.

  So we should assume that benny was not required to show his credentials during the RNC convention more than once. Including when he was registering for different events. And as far as voter id laws, the issue for those who want to be even a little honest is not the laws that require a photo id, but the ones that require a new photo id, rather than accepting a driver’s license or a school id.

  You two dolts are amazing. Conservatives are FOR voter ID. We think you should have to show ID on important things like renting a rug doctor. Things that don’t really matter much like getting in to see the Emperor and his Court Jester, and voting for the most powerful man on the earth…let anyone do that. Infact let’s bring in people from other countries to determine who makes the decisions on the USA. Seriously, go try to do half the things that are “wrong” with America in ANY other country.   If you are saying that the need for ID cards will cause voter suppression you are mistaken, you perfectly well know this is not what voter ID is all about its time Americans stood up to voter fraud this is the need for the ID card which can be easily obtained. Conservatives have listened to the liberals play down the need for ID when it comes to politics and voting that is of course unless it falls under a liberal forum, like your statement which is indeed a lot of baloney.

  The Connecticut Blacks and Browns must be way smarter than the southern Blacks and Browns. Here in CT, we have to show a picture ID to vote. . Why do I ,as a white have to show an ID, when evidently ignorant , minorities in any state that doesn’t have a picture ID law ,not have to show one?
