Did Rapper Nicki Minaj Just Endorse Mitt Romney — on a Mixtape?
Editors Note: The lyrics presented in this article are explicit.
News reports are buzzing over a newly-released song in which rapper Nicki Minaj purportedly endorses Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Now, one can’t always take what a rapper is saying — or performing for that matter — literally. But, Minaj’s words, which are overtly favorable of Romney, do cause one to wonder if the edgy performer is, indeed, planning to cast a vote for the candidate.
Minaj’s pseudo-endorsement (if we can even call it that) arrived via “Dedication 4,” fellow rapper Lil Wayne’s most recent mixtape. The line in the song that has sparked intense intrigue goes as follows: “I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney/You lazy b**ches is f**king up the economy.” The lyrics are present in a song called “Mercy.”

While that’s the extent of the political messaging presented in the song, if it’s sentiments are true, we know three things: Minaj is a Republican, she isn’t voting for President Barack Obama and she has a penchant for hard work. Again, we can’t always take rappers at their word and, like Twitchy admitted, TheBlaze, too, is “new to dealing with Republican ‘endorsements’ that arrive via mixtape.”
But, the song is, at the least, noteworthy. Listen to this section of the tune, below, that is seemingly pro-Romney (caution: intense and offensive language):
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Just wait. Even if she did mean it – the outcry from her leftist friends will be so swift and relentless she will be forced to…

Also, there is KNOW WAY Pepsi would allow her to be a spokes person if she was Republican.

Posted on September 4, 2012 at 3:47pmIt’s just like with celebrity endorsements of products. I’ll buy something if I like it not because some Hollywood type says it’s good. I don’t care if this rapper or Clint Eastwood is for Romney because I don’t let celebrities influence my decisions. I’m voting for Romney/Ryan because I don’t want a liberal running the country.

Wake up before what you want to happen, happens. You’re life will change for the worse forever, never to return… and people like you will be to blame.
Keep your nose to the grindstone and proudly work like other hardworking Americans. Keep your covetous nature to yourself.

Posted on September 3, 2012 at 11:00pmIts an interesting theory but not likely. I spent many years working in the hip hop industry and I can tell you that not one rapper I am aware of endorses Mitt Romney. In fact when I would cruise by the studio, my best friend owns and runs, I would often find myself drawn into political conversation by friends and local rappers I have known for years. They would always make jokes and clown around with me saying how could anybody vote Republican. I would always rebut that how ironic I found it to be that most Hollywood and mainstream rappers talked down on Republicans and fancy themselves as Democrats, yet in 90% of their music they can’t talk enough about how wealthy they are, and how their the top dogs when it came to ballin, hustlin, and getting that chedda. LOL, for those who don’t know what im saying it means getting money. Rappers are the biggest capitalists in the music industry. I can’t think of to many rappers that have endorsed spreading their wealth around. Certainly we have Russell Simmons, and Jay Z leading the charge in rappers in politics. And while they preach about democrat values both men have made MILLIONS in the game, so you figure that one out. I guess its a game where you do what your told if you want to stay relevant in Hollywood. Just my opinion. Im sure Nicki will come out against Republicans if enough of a stink is made.

The more people in pop culture that have a common sense the better. Like her or not, that’s what influences a lot of kids and they need to hear common sense no matter the source. Also, her whole thing is just an act, a way to make a living, doubt she’s near as unbalanced as all the people in the acting world who Glenn and the gang constantly endorse by talking about their movies.

voting-for-romney
Posted on September 3, 2012 at 10:28pmIf she is endorsing Mr. Romney, I believe it says to America, we don’t have petty differences in America that are going to disappear for a week during a storm? 23 million people out of work are not petty differences? 80,000 new laws from 2010 alone, levied against home owners, business owners, and farmers, resulting in $1.7 Trillion ripped out of the productive budgets of tomorrow, are not petty differences?
Not passing a budget, not speaking with elected Representatives of the Republican Party (the consent of the People) for months at a time, and passing legislative agendas against the frame work laid down by the US Constitution, are not petty differences? Saving a car company (no such thing – no company is guaranteed they will be in business tomorrow), but STEALING from the bond holders, are not petty differences?
I am not familiar with the work of this young lady, maybe she does not use language the way we do, but those who do listen to her, are empowered by her emotions, her words? The fear she has within herself, is what the music of tomorrow will be?
Read all the regulations you need to hire somebody, and ask your self, how can you stand up for the rights of workers, if no one will hire them? Some might call progressive socialism, just another flavor of plantation slavery with centrally planned owners and equal worker rights, and no one has the freedom to prosperity against the state?

I know Republicans = racists is one of the templates you lefties perform your mental gymnastics around, but you should watch how well received the few black conservatives are in Tea Party and other conservative gatherings. It’s almost too far to the point of pandering but it is an indicator that conservatives aren’t racists and want to be diverse. Its simply that you lefties don’t allow free thought and viciously attack any minority, especially blacks, who dare side but with the conservatives. You want to see some serious racism look at comments from lefties on anything related to minority conservatives.

Hopefully this is a joke and she’s not a republican because our country needs nothing to do with Illuminati henchmen & women. Check out the “red bracelet” she wears; there’s a community in showbiz that wear this supposed “red bracelet” to obtain supernatural powers (search: red bracelet – illuminati – Gweneth Paltrow-Jay Z – Michael Jackson – LeBron James – and a ton of young hollywood and prepare to be weirded out). Also, Ms.Minaj has a “demon” living in her called “Roman.” (some shape-shifting reptile). See link below
