Chuck Norris + Reagan Quote + Obama and ’1,000 Years of Darkness’ — Need We Say More?

Chuck Norris on Obama Re Election: Thousand Years of Darkness, Country May Be Lost Forever

(Photo: AP)

Conservative action star Chuck Norris joined Clint Eastwood in criticizing President Obama over the weekend, releasing a YouTube video that has some websites deeming him “kind of crazy.”

To be fair, the video does seem rather stilted for one of the country’s most well-known movie stars, but that is not why Norris’ video is making news.

In it, Norris and his wife Gena quote Ronald Reagan’s “freedom is never more than one generation from extinction” speech, which continues to say that, should America slip away from freedom, our children will “take the first step into a thousand years of darkness.”

Coupled with the plea to vote out Barack Obama and the warning that our country “may be lost forever” if we don’t change tracks, the implication is clear– re-electing Barack Obama could lead to the next dark age.

Watch the video, via YouTube, below:

The couple explains, taking turns roughly every paragraph:

Chuck:  We are here to talk about a growing concern we all share.  If we look to history, our great country and freedom are under attack. We’re at a tipping point and, quite possibly, our country as we know it may be lost forever if we don’t change the course our country is headed.

Gena:  With our country at a crossroads, Chuck and I have asked ourselves what we can be doing to help support this great country we’re blessed to live in, and how we can encourage our like-minded American brothers to unite and let their voices be heard.  It is estimated that in the 2008 election, 30 million evangelical Christians stayed home on voting day, and Obama won the election by 10 million votes.

Chuck:  We know you love your family and your freedom as much as Gena and I do.  And it is because of that, we can no longer sit quietly or stand on the sidelines and watch our country go the way of socialism, or something much worse…As Edmund Burke said, ‘All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men and women do nothing.’  [Emphasis added]

The two then read part of Ronald Reagan’s speech– including the “thousand years of darkness” warning– with Gena concluding: “If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us, we justified our brief moment here.  We did all that could be done.”

“Please stand with us,” Chuck asks viewers in closing.  “Let’s unite for God and country, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.  See you at the polls…”

What did you think?  Too dramatic, or appropriate for the times?

If I may remind Chuck and the late President Reagan, the 11th horn dude (Obamanation that makes desolate) only rules for about 7 years. And so far he is a little more than half way there. The last three years will be real doozies. lots of messy stuff. Texas seceding from the Union. Fiscal Armageddon, and who can forget the attempt by the 11th horn dude to divide Jerusalem in the face of Persian nuclear capabilities. Ten million Americans will head for the Canadian border by mid November too. Yep, it is about to get messy. But it is only three more years, not 1000 years of darkness.

THE TIPPING POINT HAS BEEN PASSED

Do not let anyone tell you ever again that America is a free nation. It is not and freedom in the world has come to an end. A brake up of the USA into two separate nations is the only way to save liberty and freedom. People wanting freedom and liberty have a right to their own homeland here in North America and must fight to win it. Let the Liberals die for their county. Freedom and Liberty come out of the muzzle of a gun.

Ahhh maybe not just 3 more years. If you think this is the TRIBULATION period in the bible you are wrong. For that to happen Christians must be raptured out of here. That has not happened yet. So maybe a thousand years but very doubtful. NO ONE knows the return of JESUS. We are to be ready to meet the LORD in the air. When that trumpet sounds…the dead in CHRIST RISE..then we which are alive and remain leave. THEN TRIBULATION STARTS….and those 7 years are going to be very messy. Especially the last 3 when man (humans) will seek to find death by suicide and will be unable to find. Book of the REVELATIONS.

Unfortunately what we are seeing happening in the US is NOT socialism. It is a derivation of fascism called neo-corporatism (economically). Politically we have become a Plutocracy. Socailism just seems to sell better, but that isn’t what we are becoming.

@Roth – Socialism is an economic system whereas plutocracy is a system of government. They don’t describe the same thing. They can exist in the same system and often do (socialist countries are usually run by the wealthy of the countries). Besides, it’s not money that rules but power and influence, they don’t always go hand in hand. In that sense we’re more of an aristocracy or just a general oligarchy.

Fascism and “Nationalized Socialism” (a form of socialism that has much in common and/or same thing as “State Capitalism”) walk hand in hand… But to understand this you would have to actually read the writings of Musollini and other early progressives of the early to mid 20th century that though these systems were a ‘good thing’!

@Roth – Oh wow, sorry. I glazed right by those parentheses and didn’t look back. I stand by my point though. I don’t consider this a plutocracy since money isn’t what is controlling things but a ruling body of “experts.” Money helps but it’s more position than wealth that helps the democrats and others keep control; though, they have plenty of both.

Obama routinely omits ‘Creator’ when speaking of these rights. No ‘Creator’ = no ‘unalienable’ rights. He intends to subvert our God given rights into mere privileges!

Don’t omit Art 2, Sec 1, when speaking of Obama. Many conservatives extol biblical principles and patriotic politics yet hypocritically condone the moral relativism of ignoring the Constitution by illegally tolerating a usurper.*

    Obama is ineligible!
    1. Not a ‘natural born citizen’ pursuant to Article 2, Section 1, of Constitution; parents not citizens.
    2. Born a British citizen pursuant to 1948 British Nationality Act.

May not even be a citizen!
Police prove birth certificate & selective service registration fraudulent. HI registered ‘unattended births’ as HI born, even if born abroad; making moms’ citizenship non-transferable. Multiple aliases & SS#’s.

    1. VOTE

    2. Demand Congress depose and prosecute Obama and his co-conspirators! Any politician or judge refusing this duty in violation of their oath of office, must also be regarded as a co-conspirator and similarly deposed or voted out of office.

Uh huh. Are you free? Can you leave the US without the IRS taking everything you have? Can you fly without being groped or porno-scanned? Can you speak your mind without being scooped up without warrant and taken away to a mental hospital? Are you “secure in your persons, houses, papers and effects”? Are you forced to buy a service/product from an company chosen by the government as a condition to remain unincarcerated? How many days out of the year do you labor for someone else? Do you own your house or land or are you renting it from the government on annual payments? Can you invest your money where you like or does the government get involved if it is “unapproved”? Do your children enter the world with a clean slate or are they born into a burden of debt they did not incur?

Are you free or are you already a serf?

If you think you are free then you don’t understand what freedom is. If you admit that you’re a serf then what are you going to do about it? You gonna pull the lever for Romney and hope for the best? That’s it? That’s your plan? THAT is what you are going to give to your children as an inheritance…as a fighting chance?

What would it take for you to resist? Where is your line in the sand? It’s not constitutional infringement. It’s not financial slavery. It is not a police state. WHAT IS IT? Where is your line?

I have a group of like minded folks I trust and a plan to get off the grid. I hope to influence as many people as I can between now and then in hopes that there will be some sort of resistance to the totalitarian power grab that history has shown always happens when society falls apart due to apathy. My hope is that there will be some place that the flame of freedom will still burn after the money goes caput, social unrest, government takes over, the wars that will ensue and so on. Yeah, I’m probably a “crazy” if only 5000 years of history didn’t show the same pattern.

In the Republic, Plato talks of the 5 Regimes and how society goes through this constant circular reference of government types. Ultimately Democracy dies when it realizes it can vote itself into the coffers. Of course, it gives way to tyranny. Yay, lucky us.
