Allen West Calls Out Dem ‘Trackers’: ‘I Serve a Mighty God’ & ‘I Am Not Afraid’

Rep. Allen West (R-FL) is known for his brutal honesty and pointed public proclamations. While delivering a Labor Day speech to the Palm Beach County Tea Party earlier this week, these attributes were in full force. West called out so-called “trackers,” those individuals employed by Democrats to attend his speeches and to publicize his blunders. Then, he told the audience that he “serves a mighty God” and, as a result, he doesn’t fear liberals’ ploys to smear him.

During the speech, West, who was sporting a baseball cap, called upon a woman in the audience. BIZ Pac Review claims she was one of the trackers who regularly attends his appearances throughout the district. In the past, West has made it a point to call out these trackers, but in this case, he did so with fervency and fanfare.

In front of an audience of about 200 people, West asked the tracker to come to the front of the crowd. She complied and he proceeded to deliver some harsh blows to his Democratic opponents.

“Come sit right here, because I want you to make sure that you get everything I say, so that when you post it on ThinkProgress, they can make sure that I stay the number one target in this country for liberal progressives,” he told the woman after she positioned herself in the front of the venue, camera in hand.

Then, he touted God’s protection and said that, as a result of his faith, he is not afraid.

“What they need to understand is that I serve a mighty God,” he proclaimed. “My God does not walk in the realm of fear. My God walks in the realm of strength and courage. That’s why I am not afraid of them.”

West then went on to praise the tea party. Watch the powerful clip, below:

      I don’t worry about the “trolls” here nearly as much as the ruffians holding power, withering America, tearing at the constitution, touting government as God and Savior, and then gleefully praising themselves about all the “success” and “hard work” left to accomplish.

      The combination of hubris and ignorance on the left is astounding!!

      shoot, half the people on theblaze believe obama is a muslim, for no good reason. why not west… and almost every day there is an article mocking obama for certain swooning suporters but look at the comments here, plenty of swooning going on.

      I frequent probably close to a dozen sites and post frequently. The more i’m on these sites (over 3 years), the easier it gets to quickly identify the TROLLS. What we do on other sites is call them out as soon as they post with a TROLL ALERT. The Blaze won’t allow a caps only post so try your own variation.
      Soros has funded a group called American Bridge with the sole purpose to employ trackers to follow only conservative candidates…. no matter how low down the ticket that candidate may be. Akins was speaking on a Baptist radio show and was caught by one of the Soros trackers. How much expense do you think it would take to fund the same effort on conservative forums?

      Rep. Allen West is today’s George Washington.
      There are so many similarities,
      such profound love for God and Country,
      they would have no doubt, been loyal friends & soul mates.

      Romney’s campaign needs to get West out on the campaign trail.
      It was a huge mistake that they did not give him a speaker slot
      at the RNC convention.
      They should have scrapped that backstabbing Santorum
      and in deference to Tea Party support,
      let the beloved West do what he does best-
      remind everyone what America stands for
      and how we will never allow ANY tyrant to make it stand for ANYTHING less.

      West would love the Secretary of Defense job-
      America WANTS him to have it !

      LTC West is an American hero who has –and deserves– our respect for speaking the truth. Floridians please re-elect this needed public servant–our republic needs him, and more like him. Liberals always go after conservative black men and it is VILE!

      Hopefully during the 11/2012 election, dead people and pets won’t be voting in Broward and Miami-Dade counties! Honest folk, PLEASE GET POLL WATCHER (NOT WORKER) TRAINING AND THEN DO IT! PLEASE!

      “he doesn‘t fear liberals’ ploys to smear him” But then again he should fear himself as similar to M. Bachmann at some point he will be confronted with all his stupid and divisive statements. While they afford him some attention now from those who media outlets that make money feeding the angry mob, these same statements will be his undoing on a larger stage. He really should consider actually doing something other than open his mouth.

    Kudos to BizPac first of all for getting the video all the way to the Blaze!! I was there at the Tea Party event on Labor Day. There were about 500 people there, not a paltry 200. Allen West is a true patriot, he loves his country and the constituents he serves. He is aware that he is hired to speak the hearts and minds of those whom he serves. That he does better than anyone else in Washington. Allen has such a loyal fan base, he will win reelection easily and hopefully go on to a Cabinet position in the Romney administration. For those that criticize Allen West, you don’t know him and you are just reciting liberal talking points.

      I am still serving, and have done so for 25 years. Am also an ardent supporter in our first amendment, and support your right to chose any religion. that being said, I personally have no use of Catholicism. You can worship the way you please.

      Now for the meat of why I wrote to you. Not sure how long you have been on the blaze, or how familiar you are with MONICINE. She has just started posting again, and stopped back in July. She is liberal, but you have to read between the lines to get what she is saying. She often writes as a conservative, but is in fact mocking conservatives. Her goal on here is to gin up discourse between protestants, Catholics, Mormons, and change the direction of the topics. This gets folks off track, and when the fence sitters get on here for a look-see, they do not see conservatives arm and arm trying to defeat socialism and out of control government (also the fault of progressive republicans) what they see is infighting over religion.

      She is very cleaver, and if you are not careful, she gets you caught up in her web, then she sits back and laughs at us. She has snared me more than once. She most likely is one of the wittiest and sharpest posters on the blaze. Be careful, or she will run you in circles.

      Some folks on here will tell you that she is the same person as ENCINOM. If so, the writer is very skilled at using two complete different writing sty

      I’m a born again fundamental Baptist and a veteran. I would take a military leader like George S. Patton any day of the week and twice on Sunday. He believed in reincarnation.

      Being a christian doesn’t mean you’re better a job than a non-christian. While I disagree with a lot of catholic doctrine, some of my favorite people are Catholics. C.S. Lewis comes to mind.

      Hello Colonel Skippy! I wish I’d had a job like yours- I never would have left the military! Folks have noticed you seem to post 7 days a week! Remarkable!

      Does the Army allow you to take a break every so often to relax on the Blaze? As a Lieutenant Colonel you probably have a lot of spare time on duty days. I left the military before there even was an internet! LOL, so I am curious, are servicemen allowed to use US Government computer assets to surf and access sites like the Blaze?

      Or are you forced to carry your own laptop to the PX Café every few hours (what a bummer- treated like smokers in Government buildings)? Is the policy restricted by rank? For example you exhibit extraordinary maturity and restraint on this site, (unless the topic turns to decadent music) but foolish young solders might not. Plus they might be swingers looking for porn or gays looking for underage recruits. I would not approve of Government assets being used to access porn (unless released by AFRTS).

      Anyway Skippy, you reside on the Blaze almost as if you are not really a soldier, but actually an overweight has-been frustrated that his divorce was so bitter and did not do well at the shooting range. Hopefully I’m wrong, and you are not intentionally trolling to disgrace our Army legacy of political freedom. Hopefully you are just unable to control yourself, such as Paul Ryan being unable to keep from misrepresenting his one and only Marathon finish!

      Dear Dismayed Veteran! – Thank you and your Thank your entire family for All your service.

      My Grandfather served in WWI, my Dad served in the Pacific Theater in WWII and was wounded, three of my five brothers served, two were decorated, and I am a Vietnam/Cold War vet with 9 years 8 months on 3 enlistments (my third was a 14 month stop loss during the Iranian hostage incident).

      Romney and Ryan have NO military legacy going back 3 generations, and Romney has five grown sons with not a single day of military service between them. That is the thrust of my comment. I am not criticizing their religion per se, but the religiosity they trumpet as “serving on Missions to France” and “serving as Altar Boy.”

      That kind of service, while laudable in the community; does not make a wise Commander In Chief.

      Government computers are filtered, and “bad” stuff is blocked.

      I am a quick writer (thus all the errors) and in this day and age, you can rip off a message or two on your cell phone, while squatting down on the jon.

      I am with you, I was not real impressed with Ryan’s marathon blunder. If not mistaken, you are a runner. Have you completed any marathons? I have yet to do one, but did some shorter distance tri and adventure race stuff a number of years back.

      Oh yea, how did you know my last trip to the range did not go so hot? I have a competition coming up, and am training six other folks to compete. Two of my youngest shooters shot better than I. Guess I am getting old when I start doping wind the wrong direction.

      I am with you on the whole military experience thing. I do not think community organizing counts either.

      It’s really tiresome to have to repeat, for the ignorant, that “Mormons” (better: Latter-day Saints) are Christians. We do not claim to be “creedal” or “orthodox” Christians, but Christians we are, nonetheless.

      From the Book of Mormon, 2nd only in importance to the Bible among LDS scriptures — 2 Nephi 25:23, 26.
      23 For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by [His] grace that we are saved, [even] after all we can do.
      …
      26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

      This is “Mormon” doctrine, the very heart of LDS theology. No matter how pastors may rant, with no regard to hate mongers and their distortions of our beliefs, this is the core of what it means to be “Mormon”.

      I served for 21+ years (8 enlisted), LDS every minute. There is nothing about LDS doctrine that precludes a person’s serving in the military. That Romney has not done so, however, does not mean he can’t lead US forces effectively. We already had Clinton (who not only did not serve, but reneged on his ROTC commitment and “loathed the military”. We have O’bama, even worse. Carter, a sailor, was a joke as CinC.

      Question for you. Do you consider a non Mormon person (say a Baptist or a Presbyterian) who believes salvation is by Grace, and not works (Eph 2:8), and is born again to be your brother in Christ?

      Basically, do you think non Mormon Christian who are born again believer will go to heaven? And do you believe they will go to heaven, if they believe Joseph Smith to be a false prophet, and believe Mormonism to be false in its doctrine and teachings?

      By the time anyone is in heaven, he’ll know the truth of all things by the power of the Holy Ghost. LDS doctrine is such that everyone, whether he is “Mormon” or not, can accept Christ’s Gospel on the same basis as everyone else. As peter tells us in his first epistle, Christ went to the spirit prison to preach to the disobedient so they could live according to God. Jesus prophesied, in Matthew, that His church (not He, Himself, but His church) would overpower the gates of hell (the grave) so that people in hades could get out. Our doctrine is that we LDSs will be missionaries up there and that people will change their minds, repent and accept the Gospel of Christ, just as they can here.

      Salvation is by the grace of Christ, of course, but James reminds us that faith without works is dead. Peter teaches that water baptism “doth now also save us.” There’s more to it than some people imagine.

      What the final outcome might be for any given person is well “above my pay grade.” I’ll leave it to Christ: He knows you, and you and you better than I do.

      Oh, the final ‘graf of my original message was “Romney respects the uniform and those who wear it. By LDS doctrine, he loves the Constitution.”

      I am LDS and I believe that all men will be judged by God and not man. That being said I do believe that Non LDS Christians will be in Heaven. If you believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as your personal Savior and try your best to follow his Teachings, you will have a Mansion prepared for you. Joseph Smith was a Prophet who Testified of Jesus Christ as the only way to Heaven. Contrary to any Anti-Mormon media you have seen, we do not worship Joseph Smith.

      My Father was a WWII vet. He was in the 339th Infantry Reg. 85th Custer Division, Company M. They started in November 1942 in North Africa. By wars end in November 1945 he was in Northern Italy. He received two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He was wounded in action from a mortar round that exploded behind him that sent shrapnel into his left leg. His company was advancing on enemy positions up hill on the Gustov line in Italy. He passed away in June of 2004 from a stroke at the age of 83. Although he has been gone several years now, his love of Country on our Military is alive and well in me, and now in my son.

      The LDS faithful love and pray for all of our Military to come home safe. If you want to really understand why we are so Loyal to them its because we have know they protect our Freedoms. The Freedom of Religion means more to us than most other Christian Faiths as there was a time when we were denied that Freedom and had to leave the US and migrate across the Plains to the Salt Lake Valley.

      Thank you for your obvious sacrifice for this nation. As for a Mormon and a Catholic, I’d rather have this change of guard now and escape the entrenchment of the progressive Obama and spare the nation, if for a season. Jimmy Carter was a born-again evangelical and caused spiraling deterioration in our economy. Ronald Reagan was married to an astrology-dependent wife, but he led this nation honorably. Go figure! God used pagan Cyrus and called him “My anointed” to deliver Israel in OT times. God does not necessarily think in a box like we do.

      Lds missionaries give up two years of their life at their own expense and do not receive any pay all to serve their fellow man. The service of our paid soldiers is not something that can be compared to missionary work. Apples and oranges, they are both invaluable to this nation and to the world. You have a lot of growing up to do. God bless our soldiers and missionaries and honest political leaders of ALL faiths.

      While I agree that our veterans should be respected and revered and serve our country well in military AND public office, your comments that Mormons and Catholics shouldn’t lead simply because they didn’t serve in the military is disgusting!!! Have you investigated Jerimiah Wright’s church? They’ve tried to find dirt on Romney and Ryan and there is none – nor have they sealed all of their records.       Colonel West claimed there were more than eighty Communists in the current Congress based on the number of members of the progressive caucus. Just Google, “Allen West Communist” and you will see hundreds of hits like this one:

      “Florida Republican suggests that up to 81 House Democrats are not only secret communists, but actual members of the Communist Party.”

      Please, JZS, take the time to refresh your facts. Don’t try a dilute the sentiments of the bravest man ever to serve Florida.

      I’m torn. I think he would be great as Sec.of Defense, but I think he’d really be great as head of Homeland Security. We need someone who can stop the invasion. Can he hold two offices? I think he is one of the few uniquely qualified to do so.

      Better yet, I think defense of the homeland should be under the Sec.of Defense’s purview in the first place. Get rid of the non-productive Homeland Security Administration, and the political hacks that run it. The current leadership doesn’t seem to have a clue as to what’s going on within her organization, or she lies to Congress a lot. Make it a Division of the Defense Department, and staff it with more military personnel. They know how to defeat an invasion.
