Fox News Chris Wallace Says Michelle Obamas Speech Was All About Government

While Fox News political analyst Chris Wallace called first lady Michelle Obama’s address to the Democratic National Convention “masterful” and heartfelt, he said he was struck by the fact that nearly all of her speech was about about the importance of government in the lives of Americans.

“I’ve got to say, listening closely to the speech one of the things that struck me was it was all about government,” Wallace said Tuesday night during Fox News’ coverage of the DNC. “When she talked at the beginning about the people who exemplify the best of the American spirit, she talked about teachers and first responders and the military, all very admirable professions, but all government.”

He continued: “When she talked about ways to build the middle class, it was all about the auto bailout and student loans and health care reform, once again, all government programs…That was a subtle subtext to the entire speech.”

Wallace also accused the first lady of being somewhat hypocritical when she said that Obama sees the nation as one America, saying “that certainly hasn’t been the way this president has run the campaign, which has been quite sharp, quite partisan, quite negative.”

Finally, after being in Tampa for the Republican National Convention, Wallace explained that the contrast between the two conventions in both tone and message could not be starker.

“The difference in tone and philosophy…the reliance on government, the praise on government, the central role it plays and their vision of America — very different from what we heard from Republicans in Tampa,” Wallace added.

If I have to choose between a Capitalist and a Socialist (Communist-lite), it’s not exactly a hard choice. Obama has “outed” himself as an obvious admirer of Marxist ideals through his words and ACTIONS. Independents will break massively for Romney (under the cover of a polling booth) and then the avalanche of “tell-alls” will expose the REAL Barry Soetoro……

  Actually, that’s incorrect. “Not allowed to” means that at some point, you have legal recourse. This is one of the main pivot points that has helped many states regain the rights of their citizens to bear arms in public, for example. The “We’re gonna violate your rights anyway” stuff disappeared once citizens learned that they could sue the living crap out of cities/municipalities and states in that arena.
  
  “We’re gonna anyway” only lasts so long as the populace doesn’t do anything about it. Once they decide to act, then “you’re not allowed to” plays a prominent role in courts of law.

  You people crack me up. In the primaries, you vote for Romney, even though he’s not perfect, because he can win. But you wouldn’t vote for Paul, even though he’s not perfect, who would be BETTER for us if he DID win.

To have a leader that is a sociopath and the media loves him daily–for what—making our country 16 trillion in debt, ruining our health care system, not allowing drilling, over taxing small business, having almost 25% of our country on food stamps—on and on and on—–Why do sane people want a socialistic dictatorship???   The last four years are the perfect storm to highlight our schools are failing our communities. We have great teachers following marching orders from people who don’t care about your community, your child’s success in your community.
  
  Every spring our rural communities send their pride and joys off to another community rather then welcoming them to create and grow their future where they grew up. Our schools purposely manage their ignorance by not teaching the morality and business of their community. When parents take back the schools our children will begin to prosper in their rural communities. In their prosperity is the prosperity of our rural communities, the state and in turn the nation. Our nation prospers because one child at a time pursues their happiness by learning self reliance.

  I agree that Chris did a great job of analyzing Michelle’s speech. He gave her props for delivery, etc., but got to the real meat by saying it was all about government. Charles Krauthammer, however, was the very best. After complimenting Michelle on her attempt to portray Obama as this Gandhi-like hero, he said….”I didn’t buy a line of it.” Kudos to Kraut!

Her speech is steeped in the tradition of Plato’s Republic, More’s Utopia, Hobb’s Leviathan and Marx’s Manifesto. The Obamas, the Democratic Party and Beltway Republicans are unraveling American Democracy one thread at a time and they do it with polished smiles on their faces. Socialism is not at our front door, it is in our house already. At no time has this nation been in greater peril. This election is not a popularity contest, its about saving our country, our liberty, our way of life. If Obama gets reelected, I fear we are doomed.

Chris Wallace should compare the word cloud for Michelle Obama’s speech to that of Ann Romney’s speech. A “word cloud” resizes the most used words in a body of text according to how many times they’re used…See both word clouds in this blog.
