‘Ominous’: Israeli Officials Speak Out on Dems. Dropping Jerusalem Language From 2012 Platform

Israeli Officials on Democrat Platform Removing Jerusalem as Capital | Dan Gillerman, Rueven Rivlin

Israel’s Speaker of the Knesset Reuven Rivlin is openly questioning whether the Obama administration understands the realities of the Middle East, after the Democrat Party chose to eliminate a commitment to keep Jerusalem the capital of Israel from its 2012 platform.

Not only that, the platform also removed the assertion that Hamas– an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood– must recognize Israel’s legitimacy and commit to peace.

“The fact that the Democrats removed a united Jerusalem as Israel’s capital from their platform is more worrying than the argument over Iran,” Rivlin told The Jerusalem Post. “The change may have far-reaching consequences.”

Israeli MK Uri Ariel, chairman of the Knesset Caucus for Jerusalem, added Wednesday: “finally, Obama’s true face is revealed.”

Former Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Dan Gillerman expressed similar opinions on Fox News:

“I’m obviously, as most Israelis are, very disappointed and very worried because this is not just forgetfulness,” he began. “This is not omitting Jerusalem; this is removing Jerusalem… Jerusalem was always there. Jerusalem was, indeed, at the heart of the matter…in the Democratic platform four years ago. It was stated very loudly and very clearly by President Obama even before he was elected. I was there in the front row of the AIPAC annual conference, where he made it very clear how [important] Jerusalem is, and how it will forever be the capital of Israel.”

“Removing it is, to me, a very ominous sign and a very negative message to the Israelis, to whom Jerusalem is so important, [and] to every citizen of the world– Christians, Muslims, and Jews, to whom Jerusalem is the holy city. I just…find this very worrying, and very, very disappointing,” he concluded.

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency spoke with several individuals who helped craft the new Democrat platform and, apparently, “there was no discussion on it” and no one seemed to know why the language had been removed.

“It’s a good question,” one remarked.

Jerusalem mayor Nir Barkat dismissed the entire matter as irrelevant, saying: “The fact that Jerusalem is the capital of the State of Israel is not a subject for debate, and its status is not affected by foreign political platforms or elections.”

This is the way it works in America…..first they introduce a very “radical” idea which meets with a lot of outcry from people in protest. Then they bring it up again in a few years, less protest; then another 2 years, very little protest. And then they start passing laws to conform. In the next Democrat convention that platform will be changed; there will be no God and Israel will be totally thrown under the bus. Jewish Americans be very aware of who you are voting for.

The shiznit is about to hit the fan me thinks. I heard the sicko minded odds makers are now selling bets on an Israeli strike on Bushehr before Obama speaks at the DNC. You can bet that the strike will occur 4, 3, 2, or 1 hour(s) before Obama is set to speak. To get 4 to 1 odds, you can bet on the quarter hours in the last hour leading up to his speech, so 45, 30, or 15 minutes before. For 10 to 1 odds, you can bet that Bushehr will be obliterated simultaneously with the first stutter of “I, I, I, I,” by Obama.

Beware though, the bookies are only taking in and paying out in gold ounces. Good luck!

It absolutely boggles my mind how ANYONE who is either Jewish, OR holds Christian beliefs could EVER align themselves with today’s Democrat party. . .

I actually feel sorry for the few honest liberals out there as their party has been totally hijacked by radicals. At least here on the Republican side, we are beginning to get back to our roots thanks to the tea party.

The American Left as represented by the Democratic Party is mainstreaming the Muslim Brotherhood terrorists-in-suits. Now they’re mainstreaming the Hamas terrorists. And have taken Jerusalem as being the capital of Jerusalem out of the Democratic platform. And not too long ago, John Brennan, Obama’s senior security advisor, called Jerusalem Al Quds (an obvious insult), and Obama made a point of publicly insulting PM Netanyahu when he came to the White House and had him escorted out the back door. Not only that, Obama has never once visited Israel in his first term as the Empty Chair. Not to mention the Iran incident where he insinuated he wouldn’t have Israel’s back! What does it take to make the Jewish people wake up and see that a vote for Obama is a vote for the destruction of Israel?

If you don’t see a trend here, then you are either blind, or in denial.

The fact that they put God and Jerusalem back into the Democratic platform amidst a flurry of boos means absolutely nothing. The fact that they removed these crucial items from their Democratic Platform does. So, cast your vote accordingly.

As others have stated the masks are coming off the Democrat agenda and none of it is good. They remove God and Jerusalem from their platform but embrace homosexuality, abortion and outright murder of infants if they do not die during late term abortions. They promote Islam and communism.

This is the platform of the President. Those are the things he believes in, he is the leader of the Democrat party.

Israel has a real leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, and he knows where Israel stands in the minds of Obama and the mindless sheep that follow him.

God will bless Israel and America needs to support Israel to claim that same blessing.
