‘Prophecy Fulfilled’: Artwork Seemingly Likens Obama to Jesus Christ

A multitude of conservatives criticized liberals for their purported “worship” of then-candidate Barack Obama during the 2008 election cycle. Now, those critiques are likely to resurface after FOX News’ Todd Starnes reported that street vendors in downtown Charlotte are selling artwork and posters that appear liken Obama to Jesus Christ (yes, really).

One of the posters makes it clear that Obama’s election to the presidency is indicative of “prophecy” being “fulfilled.” There’s an image of the president, seemingly praying, with a line that reads, “Barak is of Hebrew origin and its meaning is ‘flash of lightning.’” Hussein, the poster claims, is also a word with Biblical origins that means “good and handsome.” The verse Judges 4:6 is also referenced.

The posters, which Starnes notes are being sold outside security zones at the Democratic National Convention, make it clear that Obama was “destined” to “rise like a flash of lightning to win victory.”

Of course, the messages weren’t put out by the Obama campaign, nor were they blessed by the Democratic Party. Still, they’re a fascinating look into a world of Obama worship that apparently still exists four years after he first rose to prominence.

There is also an Obama calendar on sale, Starnes reported. Much like the poster, it, too, features religious imagery that is given a connotative attachment to the president. The month of August (Obama’s birthday is August 4th), features a picture of the president’s birth certificate and reads, “Heaven Sent.” The popular New Testament verse John 3:16 is also included.

The oddity doesn’t end there. While it’s likely a coincidence, Starnes notes that a stained-glass window (it’s purpose is currently unknown) is expected to be used at some point during the convention. A supposed image of this is presented above. Read the entire report from FOX News here.

  But do they realize that in that biblical reference to Barack…that he is upstaged by Deborah (a woman) and that he was told going into battle-if he asked her to come with him would not get the glory or credit…and he did it anyway. For the cause.

  Thank you! Very interesting. I heard NoBama2013 say that if he could he would love to be able to speak any language. Being able to speak and understand all language is an attribute of the Anti-Christ. I think that he may not be THE ANIT-CHRIST but is as John the Baptist was for our Christ, a voice crying out in the wilderness, NoBama2013 is crying out in the wilderness to prepare the way for the true Anti-Christ.

I will stack my 2 grad and 3 undergrad (history, polysci, biz and stats to get started all first in class) against what you are packing sheepskin wise and say…..Commander Zero toys with the personality cult game just like old Adolph, Uncle Joe Stalin, and Comrade Mao did when they started out.   Not true Andy. Hitler is a fascinating case study of how one man can steal power and take over a country. Comparing Obama’s rise in power with Hitler’s could be useful. No one is saying that Obama is a killer and WWII starter but there are important similarities in how both took power. Look up your history on Hitler’s rise to power in Germany.

Yes. I believe prophecy is being fulfilled but Obama is as far from being a likeness of Jesus Christ. That anyone would compare this man to the Savior is blasphemy.

  Was the Asian tsunami the rapture that was in prophecy. Over one million were killed by instant drowning with little pain a very quick and human death. Asian people are basically good. They do not require many prisons and Asians living in America are not represented in the US prison population like other races. The Rapture is not as people think it would be. satan tried Germany first but God’s America was too strong. America has worked out better for satan.

  Muffy………The Rapture has yet to occur. Hundreds of millions of the Church will disappear in a blink of the eye across the globe. The Rapture of the Church is, to my understanding, the last prophecy to be fulfilled before the advent of the Tribulation period.
  I do wonder how this event will be explained away to those remaining.

There is no doubt in my mind that many of the mindless lemmings look at Obama as some sort of god that they can idolize. The democrat party is making a concerted effort to go as far away from God as possible. Look at their platform, pushing homosexuality and abortion while stripping any reference to our creator from speeches. The choice in November could not be more stark and more clear. You either choose to vote with people of faith and morality or you choose satin. Barack Hussein Obama just may be satin’s son.

That is part of the problem.
People are ALWAYS seeking something.
They want to believe in something.

Democrats are experts in creating “Hope” —- (Mostly because they cannot produce anything REAL)

They have Hollywood behind them too.

And a long list of empty promises

SO – when Obama offers “Hope” – it resonates with the hollow youth of today and they flock to him with open heads – open hearts and especially open hands. (PLEASE Obama – GIVE me something)

The CHURCH has failed in offering much in the way of HOPE.
The church needs to do a much better job.

  Don’t you think the Anti-Christ would be much more persuasive? Barry can’t convince over half of Americans that he’s worth being President, much less the ruler of the world.
