Today, TheBlaze announced the most recent expansion of the Glenn Beck news, information, entertainment, and e-commerce network: TheBlaze Radio Network.
Available online, on iPhone, iPad, and on iHeartRadio, listeners will now be able to live stream hours of content free of charge.
In addition to the 3-hour Glenn Beck Radio Program, listeners will also be able to stream an expansion of what was previously known as “The 4th Hour” with co-hosts Pat Gray and Stu Burguiere, now re-named Pat and Stu.
Expanded to 2-hours, their show will stream exclusively on TheBlaze Radio.
Not only that, TheBlaze Radio will become the exclusive home of one of America’s top radio hosts, Jay Severin (you can follow Jay on Twitter here).
Severin has served as host of nationally syndicated and regional radio programs including New York and Boston, for which he has been nominated for the Marconi Award for Top National Radio Major Market Personality. He has also been a political analyst with NBC News, CNBC, MSNBC and has appeared on Fox News, CBS, ABC, Nightline, The John McLaughlin Show, PBS, CNN and NPR, and has authored Op-Ed articles for the New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle and The Boston Globe.
Here is the new schedule:
Severin explained his goal for the show in a press release: “To really want to listen to someone, I insist they offer me a chance to learn or laugh, and ideally both. Every day on TheBlaze Radio Network, we will strive to give you both.”
Watch his introduction, below:
But that’s not all. TheBlaze Radio will also be featuring a simulcast of the popular 5 p.m. Glenn Beck Program, and “Real News From TheBlaze” at 6 p.m.
Joel Cheatwood, President and Chief Content Officer at TheBlaze commented: “We are excited to continue making TheBlaze a destination for news, information and entertainment programming across multiple platforms. Jay is an incredible talent and is the perfect host to launch TheBlaze Network.”
The new lineup’s launch date will be announced at a later time.
TheBlaze now combines one of the world’s largest subscription streaming video networks, a website that generates over 9 million unique visitors per month, a radio network, a curated marketplace platform to help local small businesses reach consumers across the country, and a monthly magazine.

Sep. 5, 2012 at 5:37pmWow. Have to decide what I’m going to give up to add another hour of Pat and Stu. How come it isn’t Stu and Pat, btw? Hope it’s still on the podcast and Roku. So, no Andrew Wilcow on TheBlaze Radio and no Jay Severin on the Roku? Oh well, I’m overloaded, talk radio wise, as it is. Hey Blaze, how about an answer on the podcast/Roku? Inquiring minds want to know.

Sep. 5, 2012 at 5:00pmI like how the headline showed an old time radio. Just like all of Glenn’s props, black and white TV, etc. That’s where Glenn would like to take the country back to, 1950s.

Sep. 5, 2012 at 4:23pmThis is the kind of person Severin is:
‘In April 2004, when a caller said United States citizens should “befriend Muslims living in the United States,” Severin replied, “You think we should befriend them. I think we should kill them.”
On 30 April 2009, Severin said Mexicans were “the world’s lowest of primitives.”
In March 2011, Severin said, “I slept with virtually every young college girl I hired to be an intern or an employee for my firm.”

Sep. 5, 2012 at 4:55pmBlack Manta – you are talking to the wrong crowd. Beck’s followers drank the Kool-Aid on Bachmann and then followed Glenn to Frothy aka Santorum. Glenn’s followers do not comprehend what you are talking about and they don’t want to imagine such a scenario because it doesn’t fit into the narrative Glenn provides. Your beliefs are made to look kooky and are ridiculed – fear not – Christ got the same treatment from ‘normal’ people too.

How long will it be before FreedomWorks and Reason.com fire up and compete with Glenn in his own format? It should be soon, very soon. Competition is a good thing.

Sep. 5, 2012 at 4:49pmThe Judge is a Ron Paul supporter – and Beck doesn’t want to talk about Ron or the Judge and Glenn doesn’t want to talk about the RNC shenanigans – it’s as if nothing happened at the convention – business as usual.

Sep. 5, 2012 at 4:41pmI tried to get some of my money back for that GBTV.com show. I’m tired of Glenn, Pat and Stu talk about stupid stuff instead of politic. I paid $100 for a subscription and last week had to listen to 20 minutes of the 3 of them talking about a monkey god like they were 5 year-olds. The entire 1 segment was about a monkey god?
These guys need to grow up. I didn’t pay $100 for that garbage. They wouldn’t give me any of my money back, said I was stuck with it. I said I would pay for what I used, but no dice.
Today I’m listening to Beck cry like a little girl that he got treated badly by some flight attendant. Waah, waah, waah. Now you know how it feels to get scammed Beck. I sure wouldn’t use any of his advertisers, that’s for sure. They’re probably scam artists like Beck is.
Check ihatebeck.com for more. I originally registered it to keep others from using it, but now I’m using it cause I got scammed by Beck. I’m trying to sell it to Obama but he hasn’t gotten back to me yet. Anyone?

Sep. 5, 2012 at 1:09pmI currently subscribe to GBTV Plus, and I used the podcast to listen to the radio show and the 4th hour. Will these new shows be added to the podcast? That would be great. Please don’t take the 4th Hour/Pat and Stu show away from the podcast. Adding all of the “Blaze Radio” shows to the podcast would be AWESOME! I’ve been asking for a podcast of the nightly TV show since it began on GBTV.

Sep. 5, 2012 at 6:50pmI’ve listened to Jay Severin for years. Some one up thread took quotes from Wikipedia. These are his actual words, They got him suspended and then fired. The last station he was at went to an all comedy channel. A few years ago, he tried to go nationally syndicated but was back In Boston within a year. My opinion; he rants about conservative principles but, really, he tries to be Mr. Macho-Cool Guy. He’s in his 60′s, looks like a vampire, dyes his hair and talks about “hittin on chicks”. It will be interesting how he’ll have to curb his phony, tough guy talk. He’s mostly a fraud.
I give him a year.

Sep. 5, 2012 at 11:11amUgh. Jay Severin is the man who bragged on the air about sleeping with every woman he ever employed. He’s a sexist pig and makes no apologies about it. Also his shows are more about himself than about any real issues. The only reason he’s available is the last station he was on switched from conservative talk to comedy 24/7. But if you like the way Beck talks about himself, you might like the way Severin talks about himself.

Sep. 5, 2012 at 11:16amYes On_the_Spot, you are correct… one can listen via iHeart, but that is a kluge, not a direct solution. We Android users would REALLY like a nice, simple, direct solution via an APP!
I know that Glenn is not a Google fan at all, but then he does gripe about Apple as well (i.e. the short recharging cord).
(Note: Kluge: noun, Computer Slang – a software or hardware configuration that, while inelegant, inefficient, clumsy, or patched together, succeeds in solving a specific problem or performing a particular task)

Sep. 5, 2012 at 11:27am@On_The_Spot Still VERY shortsighted. iPhone/iPad/iOS apps are specific to TheBlaze. iHeartRadio is general app covering 1000+ stations, one of which is TheBlaze. Real mobile device market is dominated by the Android platform for quite some time now (almost 2 years since they overtook Apple iOS) in a sense that more than half of devices are Android based. Hence any entity making app specific for iOS and not for the dominant part of the market is making foolish choice. (No FanBoys here, in our home we have both – but this is general business practice that must be pointed out for success of TheBlaze).
So, TheBlaze – please provide specific Android app for specific TheBlaze programming ASAP.
