Is Lindsay Lohan trying to tell us something?

The troubled Hollywood celebrity, whose recent exploits include crashing her Porsche into an 18-wheeler and reportedly skipping out on a $46,000 hotel tab, tweeted at President Barack Obama about the need to cut taxes for “those that are listed on Forbes as ‘millionaires.’”

“If they are not, you must consider that as well,” Lohan wrote Thursday night as Obama was delivering his speech at the Democratic National Convention.

It’s unclear what precisely Lohan meant, and the tweet has since been deleted from her feed. She kept up other posts from Obama’s speech, including about student financial aid and a link to support his campaign.

On the other end of the political spectrum, porn star and Mitt Romney supporter Jenna Jameson unleashed a few fiery tweets on Friday against the president, including a “really???? what is this world coming to?” in response to a line from his DNC speech.

Jenna Jameson supporting Mitt! This is a great sign of the times where more high profile people in Hollywood (like the rest of America) are fed up with the obama regime and its condescending attitude coupled with lies/deception pouring out of team obama. Looks like we could have a split in the porn vote this time – but that is a good thing because every watches it AND I’d rather watch a JJ film than anything eva longwhoria starred in, not to mention the acting would be better in a Jenna production.

I appreciate Jenna’s resolve and fortitude to go on the record in favor of Freedom and Liberty.

  Don’t take criticism of Obama as support for Mitt Romney. I criticize Obama all the time, as he very well may be the worst president in history, but this should in no way be taken as an endorsement of Mitt Romney. Bill Gates, the richest man in America, made money because he created a product and sold it — a majority of his customers are the “not so well off”, same with.. owners of walmart,, uhm Steve Jobs’ Apple, etc.. very few people get rich because of the rich, most get rich because they have customers. ,most of which are not rich.

Tweets: how the 20 somethings stay informed…God help this country and them that they may actually learn some real history, the straight facts and even (GASP!!), read a book. In this American Idol/M-TV world we find ourselves in, it’s the “cool” canidate who gets the votes no matter that the “cool” (and I use that term with the greatest of sarcasm) canidate has driven this country straight into the ground, lies every time he opens his mouth, will remove even more of their freedoms should we see four more years of his “guidence” (more sarcasm), and hasn’t created anything more than division. But hey, as long as they can tweet, buy the latest electronic gizmo, choose from the seemingly endless barrage of no talent music/movie superstar wannabe’s and have their contrasceptives and should they fail, abortions, paid for…what does it matter? The “cool” guy gets their vote because they read a tweet from some empty headed, lost as they are, I know how to smile right so I must know politics as well, starlet.

This social media crap is nothing more than a distraction or entertainment, it hasn’t had that much of an impact, and from what I have heard, Facebook is losing money on the stock market. Google, FaceBook, MySpace are a pox on our society. All I have seen them do is using your information to help themselves.   Hmm. Im flattered really. have you tried reaching out to any 20 somethings. I am one and this whole recession thing put a serious damper on my business plans. In any case I’m doing fine and have very minimal debt. however not self employed as i would like. I would like to see a third party as both romney and mr o are just playing us. You do know that right? Different sides of the same coin? Heres the thing if you old ppl would have spent the time passing down some values instead of selling out maybe we would have a few more conservatives. Ever been to any republican functions? All really old people! How about a democrat function? lots of idiots, and lots of young ppl. that means we’re screwed when you all die off….They get stronger we get weaker.   Yes, unemployment for college grads are high.
  
  In the Bay area kids are getting sign-on bonus to join. Currently there is mis-match to job openings and skill set available. There are low skills service jobs available and plenty of high skill-set jobs openings. Unfortunately these liberal arts or political science students are too qualified or under-qualified for these opening. Most of the mid-level jobs are being outsourced. This is the new reality even our pal Romney can’t solve.

  They used a deduction because they raised a a certain type of sheep, merino, that has really nice wool. It was out into place during WWII or the early Cold War. We, the country, don’t need clothes made out of merino wool anymore but they still have the tax break.

  @WALKABOUT. Your talking about a fairly extensive tax-dodge that costs us all about a 100 Million dollars a year. The tax loophole comes from the New Jersey’s Farmland Assessment Act of 1964. Originally the provision was created to help preserve agriculture in New Jersey. To qualify for the tax break, landowners must own at least five acres of land and produce just $500 a year in goods in order to qualify. Anyone who can meet those minimum standards can reduce their farmland tax bills by an astounding 98 percent. That’s just New Jersey. Almost every state has their own version, but I’m too lazy to look them all up. And, yes, both sides do it.
