Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. Home After Being Treated for Bipolar Disorder at Mayo Clinic

Jesse Jackson Jr. depression treatment

AP

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) is home after undergoing extended treatment for bipolar disorder at the Mayo Clinic, his chief of staff said Friday.

“He’s at home in Washington convalescing with his wife and children,” aide Rick Bryant told the Associated Press. “Let’s hope he returns to work on Monday.”

Bryant said he wasn’t sure when exactly Jackson was discharged. A statement from Jackson’s wife said she and her husband were “thankful for the heartfelt prayers and kind thoughts from so many for our family.”

Jackson took medical leave from Congress in June for a then-undisclosed reason. A statement from the Mayo Clinic in July revealed he was undergoing treatment for depression, later amended to be Bipolar II, a disorder involving periodic bouts of depression and hypomania. Hypomania is a less serious form of mania.

The timing of his leave drew scrutiny, as Jackson is currently the focus of a congressional investigation over allegations he offered to raise campaign cash for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich in exchange for being appointed to Barack Obama’s old Senate seat.

Jackson has not been charged and denies any wrongdoing.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Both of him must be looking forward to a full pardon from the Mighty “0″ sometime between November and January. Blago affected even more, and I wonder what will pop up next.

Now they have gone to darn far!!!!! To quote the article, ” Lets hope he returns to work…..” Now that is an oxymoron. Return to work implies he was working before he started running around in a circle screaming “I’m a little hooka, see my pipe( sung to the tune I’m a little tea pot”.) Now that’s a guy who we need to formulate laws. His handlers need to limit how much illegals he does in a day. “Return to work!!” The guy has never worked a day in his life!!!!! Funny, funny!!!!

      “Restoring ove????”

Is that where you spit in the face of Christians, then declared we should all reject religious “fairy tales” so we can have a paradise on earth?

If I wasn’t aware that Homosexuals can’t think in rational terms naturally, due to their mental disorders, I would think it odd for someone to be so hypocritical after such a display of anti-Christian hatred.

Your problem isn’t Christians, old boy. Your problem is nature itself. If Christians were obliterated from the face of the earth natural law would still influence people into being disgusted and repulsed by homosexuality.

And the ones who hold Muslim/ Buddhists, et al, religious views, would reject you as well.

All homosexuals were put in this plane of existence as punishment for prior life crimes in order to pay their karmic debts. The longer the debt goes unpaid, the longer they will live miserable existences, rejected by humanity as the hateful freaks they are.

Jackson stayed out of the limelight (mostly) for 2 or 3 months enough so that he had time to decompress. He still has to be around for the last 2 months so the machine & sympathy vote can get him across the finish line in November.

He is hoping for an Obama win so Holder or the machine can squash any further investigation. At which point he will be unrepentant & a future senator.

Imagine if the medical leave had been in the Republican side for the very same reason. Princess Pelosi would been broom-flying all over Washington demanding for the congressman / congresswoman to resign due to his or her incapability to legislate.
But of course because Mr. Jackson is a democrat, in mid July (almost two months after Jackson was last seen in the floor of the House) Pelosi told in a CNN interview “he should take all the time he needs”.
Now that everybody knows his condition, he certainly should take ALL the time he needs. Moreover, he has to resign. We already have enough mentally unstable people in Congress.

When the FBI showed Jackson some of the dirt they have on him it probably caused his ‘bipolar’
affliction to go into overdrive requiring treatment. Most politicians are criminals but the problem is they write the laws so they never get convicted much less charged of a crime. DC is full of criminal hogs robbing us blind.

If his daddy wasn’t Jesse Jackson, If he wasn’t black, if he wasn’t a Democrat, If he wasn’t part of or close to the Chicago machine they would have already indicted, convicted & sentenced him.

I went to school with this guy and back then he despised his dad and his tactics, until he found out how profitable they could be. He was offered something like $2 million to not protest either pepsi or coke. I think he is as dirty as Blago, Resco, and a slew of other Illinois politicians. Very convenient that when Blago was found guilty, he got sick. The leak was out about an investigation, and I am sure he is going to say he was not responsible for his decisions because he was sick.

So, Rep. Jackson suddenly becomes mentally ill in June, when a possible investigation is going to be launched against him! Then, he takes a Medical Leave of Absence from Congress! Then he’s treated at the Mayo Clinic! Isn’t there a stipulation with Congressmen & Senators, if your duties can’t be fulfilled, then you need to resign your position?

As I understand it, one does not “get treated” for bipolar. It is a way of life to be managed throughout life with necessary drugs, exercise and good diet. Adding PRAYER and a relationship with CHRIST to that list would make if a good thing for all of us I suspect.

Also no alcohal and “recreational” drugs. It is a tough disease to manage too. If Johns Hopkins says he has it, he probably does. My personal guess is stress (acts as “kick off” to this diease) probably made him go over the edge. He has probably had some symptoms for years. I cannot say enough how awfull this disorder is, we have a family member (in-law) who has it. They can go along on meds for chunks of time, then it rears it’s ugly head and while we can joke a little about it, it is a disease that ruins families and families lives, as in children, spouses and all the rest. It is a constant battle and I wish him and his family the best. Jury is out at this point if he should stay in a high stress job.
