Obama Pulls a Biden: ‘Three Proud Words: Made in the USA’

Like every president, Barack Obama has his generally-accepted strengths and weaknesses.

His speech-giving ability is, without a doubt, one of his greatest assets, but in Florida over the weekend the man made a mistake almost identical to one made earlier by Vice President Joe Biden.

Speaking to a roaring crowd, the president said American manufacturers are making products that we can sell around the world, stamped with “three proud words.”

What are they? According to Obama, the “three” words are: “Made in the USA.”

The Weekly Standard notes that Joe Biden made a similar mistake when he dramatically spelled out “J-O-B-S” as a “three-letter word.”

To be fair, the president was likely thinking of “Made in America” as the “three proud words,” having used the phrase properly at the DNC last week.

If liberal code words like the deceptive use of phrases such as ‘social justice’ for of the redistribution of wealth, investments for new or raised taxes, and calling a slower increase in a tax rate a tax break were considered gaffs, the entire Democratic Party could be considered gaff masters. Obama and Biden might be challengers for the chief’s title.

I guess if you think speaking with a 3rd grade vocabulary is an asset you might have a point. Tornado in Kansas killed 10,000 (he said) really killed 12 people (God bless them & families), Memorial day he was honoring fallen hero’s and said many were in audience today (Yikes) and the one we all love, the Navy corpse man & of course he said they were in Asia while in Hawaii, and do they speak Austrian in Austria?
