In case you were fortunate enough to miss it, the second annual “SlutWalk” kicked off in San Francisco on Saturday as crowds of people marched through the streets demanding their right to… be sluts, apparently.
Anyhow, a Pajamas Media contributor, who goes by the name “Zombie,” was on the scene this weekend and provides us with a first-hand account of the slut-filled mayhem in San Francisco:
I covered the first SlutWalk in 2011, but I was hoping, what with the whole Sandra Fluke/Rush Limbaugh controversy, the Todd Akin brouhaha, and many delegates at the Democratic convention wearing “Sluts Vote” pins, that this year’s SlutWalk would be bigger, bolder and better than ever.
Alas, it was not to be. To my (and surely the organizers’) great disappointment, SlutWalk San Francisco 2012 was smaller, calmer and less exciting than the previous year’s event. Perhaps that’s because the original impetus behind SlutWalk — a Toronto police constable telling women at a 2011 crime conference that they could decrease their odds of getting raped if they didn’t dress like sluts — is already receding into the past and no longer feels like a fresh outrage. Or perhaps it’s because anger over the term “slut” has since become mainstreamed, and it no longer feels particularly radical or avant garde to discuss the word anymore? Either way, SlutWalk 2012 was — dare I say it? — a modest affair.
That isn’t to say the protest was devoid of intentional play-obscenity and manufactured outrage; as the picture above shows, there was plenty of that as usual. But the joke was already wearing a bit thin.
I already comprehensively deconstructed the SlutWalk concept in my previous year’s report, and everything I said then remains true. Little, in fact, has changed in the SlutWalk universe, so rather than repeat myself presenting the same analysis of the same cognitive dissonance, I invite you to read the link above for a full investigation into the SlutWalk concept. This time around it’ll be more pictures and fewer words — just as you like it!

At least one Democratic lawmaker made an appearance and told the crowd that she is proud to be a “slut.”
“I stand before you as a slut. I hope to become more of a slut. I know that you’re all sluts,” California State Assembly member Sally Lieber said. “I hope you still are and I still I am when I’m 80 years old, when I’m 100 years old, when I’m 120 years old.”

Surprisingly, the crowds were not as outwardly pro-Obama as one might expect, Zombie explains. However, there was plenty of Republican bashing going on. Most of the women were 18-30. They spoke openly about things that would definitely destroy their marriages if their husbands had heard them. One young man bragged that he had slept with about half of the women on the floor and I was talking to a friend about this. Someone overheard me and told me not to say that out loud. “Why not?” I asked, “He doesn’t care. He was bragging about it just a while ago right here in front of everyone.”
She said, “Because the girls that didn’t sleep with him might be jealous.”
Seriously?! She thought everyone was just like her? I was proud to say that I wasn’t anything like them. I was proud that I never in my life had cheated. I believe in family and being loyal to your family. To risk destroying your family for… pure selfishness?
One young woman with 3 kids brought her kids to a bar and had them sit alone at a separate table so she could pick up guys.
One girl asked an 18 yr old who was pregnant with twins, “Who’s the father? Do I know him?” She replied, “I have it narrowed down to 4 people.” NARROWED DOWN TO 4?!?! How many did she start with?
Another bragged that she had been with over 100 men before she was 18…
I worked there for over 7 yrs. I have more similar stories than I could share.
Who would marry someone like that?

Something I noticed about them though… Most become hostile when they are turned down. Like the guy committed some terrible crime by telling them that they weren’t the type that sleeps around and cheats.
Oh and Marybeth… wow, you’re completely wrong. The women that were most men wanted were Conservatives. The Conservatives were untouchable and were the most desired by the men. The Liberal women were treated like doorknobs – take your turn, move along, then forget about them.

I think this march was really used as more of an esteem builder for unattractive, hygienically challenged females who want to pretend that there are self-respecting, sober men out there who would actually consider touching their neglected no-no’s. When I think of slutty attire, I think of mini skirts and 4 inch heels, but I guess these women would not know how to walk in anything but flip flops or combat boots.

It is just as true as if he had said women could decrease their odds of being raped by not walking down dark alleys in bad neighborhoods. To pretend that his statement applies to all victims of rape and that he is some kind of evil sexist for saying it, is opportunistic and intellectually dishonest.
Furthermore, to pretend that any of the self-proclaimed sluts in that march bear any resemblance to the subject of his remark is completely (and deliberately) missing the point.
This is militant liberalism through and through.
Who could argue that a woman who is dressed like a slut is not more likely to be raped than one who is not? Only a delusional liberal or, in this case, a few dozen delusional liberals in the militant liberal capital of America, San Francisco.
There is no moral high ground when everything about this march is based on intellectual dishonesty and manufactured outrage. You liberal jerks are so full of your own self-importance, self-delusion, and self-righteousness it is a wonder that you don’t implode from the sheer density of self.

This is another story where the title screams something that people at this website love to hear, a vampire-esque attraction to stories where they can judge and be crass, condescending and rude.
Most people don’t get past the bold-face title on these pages before hitting the bottom of the page and typing out a furious manifesto about ‘leftards’, ‘communists’ and ‘sluts’ and somehow throwing a person who was in the news (Sandra Fluke) recently into the fray, so they seem informed.
