‘Wilkow!’ Debuts on TheBlaze TV on Monday and Here’s a Sneak Peek at What the Show Is All About

TheBlaze TV
TheBlaze TV’s newest primetime show “Wilkow!” kicks off Monday night with what host Andrew Wilkow promises will be “a further take” on the news of the day.
“We’re going to go past what you’re used to, past the news, past the opinion, past the personality and into the philosophy,” Wilkow said. “We’re going to go very deep, but probably in a way that many other hosts might have lost the audience because they would have made it boring.”

TheBlaze TV
Casting a critical eye at big government in particular, “Wilkow!” will use the latest political and economic headlines as a jumping off point and seek to uncover what’s driving them.
“It’s not who is running this program, it’s the program. It’s not the person who’s coming up with the policy; sometimes government shouldn’t even have a policy here. It’s not who the president is; it’s the fact that we have jettisoned certain founding principles that made this country work for the first 100 years,” he said.
The show’s first week has a politician-studded line-up of guests, including Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Monday, Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) on Wednesday and Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) Thursday. But it’s not just lawmakers viewers can expect to see: country music star Trace Adkins will be on the show Tuesday, the first celebrity guest of many.
“You kind of see that happening” where celebrities are starting to espouse more conservative — or at least non-liberal — beliefs, he said. “I think that you’re going to find that we’re going to offer a very hip avenue for celebrities when we’re ready to talk.”
The host of SiriuxXM’s “The Wilkow Majority,” Wilkow is already familiar to TheBlaze TV audience from his appearances as a panelist on “Real News from TheBlaze.”
You can see one of his past appearances below:
Wilkow got his talk radio start in 2002 and crossed paths with Glenn Beck over the years. In 2004, Wilkow was on one of Beck’s affiliate stations broadcasting from the Republican National Convention when Beck came over to the radio area, sat down and did a segment with him. It wasn’t until he formally got involved with Mercury Radio Arts that Wilkow found out Beck’s wife Tania had been a longtime listener.
“When you’re married to somebody who’s so prolific in this industry and you want to listen to someone like me, I mean, it’s an honor,” Wilkow said.
In keeping with his radio roots, each installment of “Wilkow!” will close with a brief, unscripted segment — “two minutes just to let loose.”
“It might be something that happened during the show, like a speech was given or something controversial was said,” he explained. “I’ll go two minutes just completely ad-libbed.”
Wilkow said he’ll be taking the passion that feeds his talk radio show and use it to make television that’s both engaging and clear.
“I don’t talk down to anyone. I don’t talk down to anyone — I’m not smug, I’m not smarmy, I’m not insulting, I don’t feel as if I know everything,” he said. “You don’t have gimmicks when you’re doing radio and you develop that skill to reason with the audience, to convey that passion and to bring your honesty.”
“Wilkow!” airs weeknights at 7 p.m. Eastern on TheBlaze TV.
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Posted on September 10, 2012 at 8:51pmMy family thought that this was an excellent first show. I particularly liked that there was no rush to the interviews and that Andrew kept the focus on his guests’ opinions and “fights” that we need to know in order to support those who are day to day fighting for our rights. Keep up the great work. We will continue to tune in–just as Real News won our vote for news. Congratulations!

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 12:25pmExcellent first show, Andrew! Knowing how to “act” in front of a camera is NOT easy–You pulled it off, hit your marks and looked remarkably at-ease. I look forward to watching as the show develops.
One suggestion: Don’t go too interview heavy. It is YOUR ideas and YOUR voice that got you the gig and those gifts are the basis of the show’s true value.
All the best in your dervedly thriving career!

Posted on September 10, 2012 at 5:30pmLOL I thought at first it was Steve Wilko. LOL that would be funny to see Glen Beck get behind Steve Wilko and produce a political Jerry Springer type show. There’d be plenty of whackos to go on the show in D.C.

You Know the Steve Wilkos Show. The one that plays and acts like he is sympathetic to Barbarism? Then runs commercials for the most Crooked Pawn Shop on planet earth.

Instead of hiring someone like Judge Andrew Napolitano, who would give the Beck enterprise tons of credibility, a shock jock is hired instead.
Good luck on that one !

Wilkow is all substance. His radio program is blunt, has less commercials, and brings a ton of constitutional evidence for the things that are both legal and illegal in these communist times we live in, even more than Napolitano. Nothing wrong with Napolitano, but he didn’t do very well on Fox Biz, so why should Glenn assume he would do well on his burgeoning internet TV program? It would be a stupid business decision to put Nap’tano on.

Posted on September 10, 2012 at 11:44amOn this I have to agree with you RICKWS. I used to listen to WIlkow and enjoyed his propram. Now, I can’t stand to listen to him. If he isn’t talking over his callers and guests, he’s talking about how great he is. Hmmm, kinda like Hannity. I used to listen to Hannity and watch his Fox show every day. Just can’t stomach either of them any more. Oh, I’d also like to add; when XM Patriot Channel pushed Cam & Company to the relms of George Norrie(sp), Coast-toCoast and replaced him with David Webb, we just stopped listening to Patriot (except on the off chance we get to hear Mark Levin). OH, and don’t even get me started on Mike Church!

Actually, I’m a consertive through and through. My problem with Wilkow (et,al) is their need to put people down who differ in opinion (just like the lame stream media) and their need to pontificate on their own lives. Don’t get me wrong. If they feel their lives have been so great, more power to them. Just don’t sit there and harp on and on and on about how great it was or is. I hope Andrew makes a big splash in his new program with Glenn. Heck, I hope Hannity, Webb, well not Church (sorry, he’s just a goofball) have great careers and can turn people to the RIGHT-SIDE and away from the DARK-SIDE. My opinion is what my opinion is of these guys. I still have that right in America, don’t I?

But, if he were to get so popular again, can you just imagine what the rest of the lame stream media will do to him? Why, he was one of those two guys who drove that car with the Confederate Battle Flag on the roof! And….and….they called it….the General Lee! Has to make them all racists! Just ask JZS, he knows everything about everything when it comes to code words and symbols that instantly make people such obvious racists. Well, except for CBS, they were just duped into running the show.
