White House Declines benjamin Netanyahu Request to Meet With Obama

Just when it seemed the tensions between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Obama couldn’t run any higher, a recently released Haartez report indicates that the White House declined yet another request by the Israeli PM’s to meet with the president during a UN conference in New York at the end of the month. This comes on the heels of other Obama-driven snubs against Netanyahu, signifying what some consider to be a cooling of the once special relationship shared between the two nations.

According to Haaretz, an official in Jerusalem said that Netanyahu’s office sent the White House a message stating that although their prime minister will only be in the U.S. for two and a half days, he is interested in meeting Obama and is willing to travel to D.C. expressly for that purpose. The official went on to say that the White House rejected the request, claiming that the president’s schedule does not have room for a meeting with the Israeli PM.

Haaretz adds:

Defense Minister Ehud Barak tried to ease the tension on Tuesday, saying that the differences between the U.S. and Israel should be ironed out “but behind closed doors.”

“We must not forget that the U.S. is Israel’s most important source of support in terms of security,” he said in a statement.

But earlier on Tuesday, Netanyahu launched what the Israeli news outlet called “an unprecedented verbal attack on the U.S. government” over its stance on Iran’s nuclear program.

“The world tells Israel ‘wait, there’s still time’. And I say, ‘Wait for what? Wait until when?’ Those in the international community who refuse to put red lines before Iran don’t have a moral right to place a red light before Israel,” Netanyahu said during a press conference on Tuesday.

“Now if Iran knows that there is no red line. If Iran knows that there is no deadline, what will it do? Exactly what it’s doing. It’s continuing, without any interference, towards obtaining nuclear weapons capability and from there, nuclear bombs.”

Haaretz continues:

U.S. Department of State spokeswoman Victoria Nuland stressed again on Tuesday that the U.S. administration doesn’t see public discussion of Iranian nuclear program and red lines as useful. “We don’t think it’s particularly useful to have those conversations in public. It doesn’t help the process and it doesn’t help the integrity of the diplomacy. To be standing here at the podium parsing the details of the Iranian nuclear program is not helpful to getting where we want to go,” she said, briefing the media.

It should also be noted that on Tuesday, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said that if Iran decides to produce a nuclear weapon, the United States would have a “little more than a year to act to stop it.”

The article you posted from The Russian Journal is dated June 14th, 2004 8 years ago and the article from the NY times was written back in 1993 19 years ago. Maybe 8 or 19 years ago Israel was selling Military Technology’s to China, but I hardly think they are doing it now since China and Russia are Iran’s biggest Allies.

Even if Netanyahu met with Obama in secret, the details of the meeting would probably be leaked by the White House. Israel, if it means your own security concerns, do not wait to eliminate Iran’s nuclear facilities. The American people would like to apologize for our Present President, but we can not. Israel, do what you must do to protect Israel and America will do what we must do in November – FIRE Obama before he does any more damage to America and the Free World !

  Obama not meeting with the Israeli PM is more than a deliberate snub; it is in effect a slap across the face to him directly and to the nation of Israel by extention. Obama has said via this means that the nation and people of Israel are now on their own.
  
  I would not be suprised if Obama actually supported his Muslim Brotherhood allies when they strike at Israel. Not one bit of suprise if Obama does that. By the day we see the growing insanity of Obama.

  It is probably safe to say that none of us knows what really goes on at the elite level. We can only guess. Israel uses the US? Sure. It has to. It is not strong enough alone. Israel uses its’ American “insiders” like Schumer, Feinstein, Levin, Kohl, etc. to do Israel’s bidding? Sure it does.
  
  Americans are bound to Israel by scripture. It makes Americans obedient. Strangely, it was a certain segment of a certain people who killed our Savior too. So the question to ask is whether modern Israel is aligned with those who killed Christ or like those who loved Christ.

Israel needs our help as they are not strong enough? They have the fourth strongest military in the world after the U.S., Russia and China! They have over three hundred nuclear missiles, they have an army that could take on the entire middle east if we were to let them. Do you live in a fantasy world?   A Patriot would not needlessly send off Americans to die in a war that has no benefit for the US. A Patriot would not waste the treasury for the benefit of Israel. The war hawk wants his war, let him lead his citizens into battle, the US has no stake in this battle. Israel is not the mythical land in the bible, but a nation created by the UN, the bible has no place in this.

  Which history book did you read? Every conflict Israel has been involved in it was responding to actions taken against it. Even in 1967, when Israel struck preemptively, they only did so after Nasser had:
  1. Re-militarized the Sinai.
  2. Formed a united military command structure with other Arab nations
  3. Declared his intention to drive the Jews into the sea
  4. Demanded the removal of UN peacekeeping forces (which he got) and
  5. Had established a military blockade of an Israeli port.
  
  Israel has never once attacked unprovoked or without good cause.

The Ayatollah Obama has met with representatives of organizations named by a federal judge as “unindicted co-conspirators” in the HLF terror trial more oftern than he has with BiBi. I’m talking the likes of CAIR, ISNA and NAIT.

Too bad that BiBi has to lower himself to try to engage the serpant we have in the White House. But, I feel that the time for Obama to honor himself is coming to a close.

Obama won’t even meet with the White House Press Corps or his Cabinet.

Perhaps if Netanyahu agreed to go on a radio show with BO and discuss his favorite food or vacation spots he would get that meeting pronto.

Neither Obama or Romney are true We the People Patriots. I would love just once that someone on here would show proof of what they say. Here is my proof: Romney is for the Patriot Act and the NDAA as Obama signed into law. Romney and the RNC ignored the people in Tampa with a pre-scripted teleprompter on changing rules. Of course, the DNC did the same thing, so both parties seem to be the same, ignoring We the People and doing whatever the heII they want.
  In the debates, he said he would repeal Obamacare, then he came out and said he would repeal and replace Obamacare. Now he says he will retain the biggest parts of Obamacare that require mandates in order for it to work. He even got into the mandate argument with Fred Thompson in an ‘08 debate, who could not believe that he would admit he was for one. So, one of the biggest problems and largest drain on taxpayers with Obamacare, and Mitt Romney is for it, and you think he is for The People? I just do not know what to say.

  Yeah, I never understood why any self-respecting Jew would vote for Barry either. Then I read an article that explained that the typical American Jew doesn’t see Israel as a protector of Judaism. The average American Jew is now just another well-off American suffering their share of guilt (like white guilt) that comes from having lived a comfortable life for so long. They don’t understand the real life and death nature of Islam and what looks like a squabble that could be resolved “if only Israel would give a little” is really a fight for mankind as Islam tries to conquer the world.
