CNBC Host Labels NYTimes Columnist Paul Krugman a ‘Communist’

New York Times columnist Paul “the U.S. isn’t broke” Krugman has become something of a gag over at CNBC’s “Squawk Box.” In addition to being a called a “unicorn” with “confounding” and “laughable” ideas, he’s now apparently a “communist.”

Joe Kernen during a Monday broadcast of CNBC’s “Squawk Box” defended CNN’s Erin Burnett from a Huffington Post article debunking her claim that commodity prices have risen as a result of the Fed’s “quantitative easing” policies.

In rebutting Burnett, the HuffPo article cited both Baker and Paul “the Tea Party shot Gabby Giffords” Krugman. The famously outspoken Kernen wasn’t having any of it.

“They quoted Paul Krugman and this other idiot, Dean Baker, who’s some guy, I don’t even know who he is, he always writes for The Huffington Post. Basically co-communists in a lot of different economic circles,” said Kernen.

He went on to criticize bloggers who fact-check economic issues.

“You know, fact-checkers need fact-checking now. They’re so full of crap. These fact-checkers lie more than the people that they’re fact-checking,” he said, adding that, “In the blogosphere, you can write what is libelous, you can lie and it’s taken as fact by the readers.”

CNBC’s Steve Liesman concurred: “I get concerned when people who are not economics reporters, they get involved. Like when the White House guys start writing about economics, it makes me nervous.”

Its philosphers who set the tone, the ideas, the agenda, if you will, that guides a world, a country, or a man. When its an individual, its called their ‘values’. They gather that, and act on those values, by osmosis, decree, law, parental learning, culture—–OR, from philosophers—-which in modern day world are largely ‘thinkers’, professors, academic, or businessman, in certain cases.

When a man achieves this notoriety, when folks listen and act on his ideas, he becomes the standard bearer of reason and morality.

Krugman IS a philosopher*(of sorts), and his economic philosophy is Communism, which makes him a very dangerous man indeed.

  Communists lie. Always have and always will. I’m glad to see people are starting to “wake up” and realize all these “chosen people” running our media are, in fact, communists. There is a communistic coup d etat taking place right before our eyes. It’s not hard to do when 98% of the entire media is a co-conspirator. There is no news coverage that doesn’t go along with the communistic agenda. They pick and choose what stories they will cover, as long as it fits their agenda. They seem to be doubling down too. Even with sites like TheBlaze and InforWars.com exposing their BS, they won’t let up. It’s an all or nothing mentality they have.

  Just how does a news site cover EVERY side of EVERY issue?Seems the problem is that the so-called urinalists coming out of university’s in the last fourty years are socialist’s or communists.   So where do these naive elitist “useful idiots” see themselves in a truly Communistic society? Do they believe they’ll be part of the chosen ones? As large as the U.S.S.R. was, can anyone name another news source for them other than Pravda? Do these “useful idiots” not realize that they usually wind up with a bullet in the back of their heads once they have served their purpose?
  Rent the dvd “Doctor Zhivago” for a compelling look at the beginnings of communism in Russia. A powerful movie. A movie like this could probably not be made in today’s leftist Hollywood.

  It’s OK. Krugman won a Nobel Prize for economics. That means he’s a genius and only a fool would question his prowess in that area. Other Prize winners are Barack Obama, Al Gore, and Jimmy Carter. None for economics however. Actually, I think they (all four) got their Prize for being Communists–near as I can tell. Communists with a lot of money. If you’re going to be a Communist it helps to have a lot of money.

  Keynes has actually gotten a bad rap over the years. Keynes NEVER said one can run deficits indefinitely nor that there was no limit to the amount of debt one could safely incur. Keynesian economics says that one can stimulate the economy IN BAD TIMES by running a short term deficit IF (and this is the key to it) they run a SURPLUS during good times.
  
  Neither the US nor Europe practice Keynesian economics because we run deficits ALL THE TIME. Late in life Keynes said that he didn’t recognize what countries were doing economically because is sure wasn’t what he wrote about.
  
  Same as the US hasn’t had capitalism for over a century either.

  When Keynes met FDR, he was told, we are practicing your theory. Keynes actually said, then my theory doesn’t work, because what you are doing isn’t working. A few years before he died, he did write a letter saying in practice, his theory didn’t have the outcomes he hoped for and in practice, it fails.

CNCB Squawk box; Joe is sometimes get it right but,all around him are progressives..I don’t know how he can take it. Larry Kudlow on the Kudlow Report is the only Conservative on that network. He used to work in the Reagan Administration. I miss watching Kudlow since i cancelled Dish. Can’t believe anyone would ever read the nytimes or commie Krugman.

  Calling people stupid does not win any points either. That being said Krugman is a person whose economic outlook and philosophy is nonsensical at best. If you tried to run an economy large or small from either a national or household angle using his philosophy and mechanisms you would declare bankruptcy. If I was to brand Krugman on economic outlook and methodology I would be very comfortable in saying he favors a socialist model. Since socialism and communism are close cousins some people use the terms interchagibly.

  1) Obama care is a Socialist/Communist policy
  2) Nationalizing the banks is a Socialist/Communist policy
  3) Nationalizing the Auto industry is a Socialist/Communist policy
  4) Pretending that the government creates productive jobs is a Socialist/Communist policy
  5) “Spreading the wealth around” under threat of death and/or imprisonment is a Socialist/Communist policy
  6) Demonizing the rich and instigating class warfare is a Socialist/Communist policy
  7) Keynesian spending by flooding the economy with wasted government money in the hopes that it will bring the economy back is a Socialist/Communist policy
  8) Pushing government entitlements to get people hooked on government aid is a Socialist/Communist policy
  9) Convincing people they will never get ahead in life unless government punishes those who are more successful than them is a Socialist/Communist policy
  10) Crying McCarthyism (as you and krugmaniac do incessantly) in hopes that people will sit down and let YOU push these Socialist/Communist policies, is itself a Socialist/Communist policy.

For a long time I couldn’t figure out how someone as stupid as Krugman could win a Noble Prize. Then they gave one to Obama, so I figure they must be like a “Participant” trophy for the really slow kids.

I mean – let’s be honest – none of us are economists, yet just about all of us knew the stimulus wasn’t going to work. Krugman didn’t. He ought to be ashamed to show is face anywhere, let alone TV.

Now today we have the Chicago Public school strike…And again same communist influence big labor public sector unions and communist affiliated union groups …When in Gods name the general public will wake up and realize this is anyone’s guess. Although I will not stop making the connection until the light of truth is bright enough it can be clearly seen. I think I personally am passionate about this having seen what the push you in line communists were like. Who isn’t aware of this? Krugman is nothing more than a one-dimensional, Keynesian “economist”. This is the guy who gave an interview to the oh-so-serious and intellectual periodical of our times “The Rolling Stone” magazine in 2008 and his communist words quickly became America’s fiscal policy; he even mentions in the interview how his ideas will be viewed as Marxist……He should be viewed as a laughing stock, but our ever-faithful to the cause media holds him in high esteem to support Obama’s platform…..communist?……YES!

I can’t recall seeing him call for the ownership of the means of production belonging to either the dictatorship of the proletariat nor for it to belong to the anarchic masses of benign communist enlightened workers.

In fact, he does strike me as far more of a fascist than anything else. He has all the earmarks – he’s a Keynesian, he holds specific collectives in contempt, he years for a command and control economy directed by elite like himself (this is actually a fascist tenant, communism wants left wing anarchy). Nah, he’s a full fledged, effeminate cat carrying fascist if I ever saw one.

Krugman, all Democrats led by Obama, and most Republicans need a remedial course in basic economics. How can they know so little about such an important subject?

Krugman is a commune-ist. He is Jewish, and like many of his culture, he has the philosophy of secular kibbutz-ism, communism.

  By your logic, you are fat, uneducated, pasty, retired, drink Bud, and beat your partner. Some of the best peeps I have met were Israeli. Most Jews I know work for a living and live the whole do unto others thing. Whatever shortcomings you face in yourself, don’t project onto others an paint a whole people with your perverted stripe.   You’re one of the few willing to tell the truth. Keep it up. The Jewish media went after Pat Buchanan for doing it recently. Limbaugh talks around it without ever saying it directly, because he is job-scared. We have very few in high places willing to do the hard work of exposing their tactics.
