This Is the Stunning Time-Lapse Video of the Freedom Tower’s Construction

EarthCam Releases 11th Anniversary, Time Lapse One World Trade Center Video

On Monday, TheBlaze brought you a status update on the World Trade Center terror attack site. And, this morning, we presented some incredible memorial pictures of the beams of light that are being used to remember the lives that were lost 11 years ago.

Also in an effort to commemorate the anniversary of the tragedy, EarthCam, a live web cam company, released a fascinating time-lapse video that depicts the rise of One World Trade Center (also known as the Freedom Tower).

The clip, which lasts just one minute and 22 seconds, shows the building’s construction from start to near-finish. The video footage used to create the time-lapse was captured on multiple cameras between February 2010 and September 2012.

In the end, the clip showcases a transformed New York City skyline — the likes of one that hasn’t been seen since before the horrific attacks on September 11, 2001.

Previously, in April, TheBlaze shared an incomplete version of this video, also captured by EarthCam. This special, anniversary version, though, provides a more in-depth view that highlights how profoundly the new building is impacting the city’s skyline.

One World Trade Center will inevitably reach a symbolic 1,776 feet and is scheduled to open for business and tenants in 2014.

It should NOT have taken over 10 years to get to this point folks. The empire state building was completed in the 1800s in 365 days. This is a result of UNION and NY political bickering. These two buildings should have been rebuilt in 2 years time.

13 years to get it built… this is what happens when unions and the gov’t work together to get things done

10+ years to get to this point – we ought to be ashamed of ourselves?!

It took 18 months to top out the Empire State, and it survived a B17 strike! A testament to the construction methods of the day! And, to top it off, it was built in the worst peace-time era of the 20th century, the great depression. Whom honor’s work, a good Day’s work anymore?

We will never forget them who died that day, the responders, normal everyday people that helped selflessly, the citizens that gave their lives to take a plane to stop the chain of events, where we were that day, and the thousands whom gave & give their lives each day somewhere out there standing the wall for US – thank you!! And warriors, wherever you may be this Day, know you are in our prayers.

May we whole-heartedly invite God to be with US. We will not forget.

Actually, the aircraft that struck the Empire State Building on 28 July 45 was a B-25 medium bomber, which was much smaller than a -17, and carried much less fuel. There were still casualties, but because steel-frame skyscraper construction was relatively new (less than 25 years at the time construction started), I would speculate that the Empire State Building was over-designed somewhat. By the 70s, refinements in steel-frame building construction had advanced to where less steel, but of higher tensile strength, was required. In addition, the WTC was built with an entirely different design without as much structural steel in the walls as the ESB.

Here’s a URL for the aircraft strike in ’45:

It was a wake up call, how appropriate that the DNC denies GOD 3 times from the Charlotte Convention Center.
I feel a strange wind blowing.

Not a very impressive time lapse video considering most of it there was no production at all and it still isn’t finished eleven years later.

The “one world trade center” moniker has go to go… I’m sure Obama’s GSA agreed to rent a ton of office space only if they would give it that name.

The Harbinger is a book that should be read by all. It led me back to Isiah and put the 9-11 attack in Biblical perspective.

Pa…….We, as a nation, could be saved today if we turned back to God but do you really see that happening? When God is removed from the Democrat platform and ALL of America is not outraged, fearful and on their knees praying I fear it is too late.
