Watch Beck’s Powerful 9/11 Opening Montage From Radio Featuring Flashback Audio: ‘I Am a Different Man’
In a powerful radio program Tuesday, on the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Glenn Beck aired haunting audio broadcasts from all over the country, reliving the events that played out as they happened live on that fateful day. While difficult for many to listen to, the clips Beck aired provided thoughtful reflection on the sombre occasion.
“I am a different man than I was 11 years ago,” he then said soberly.
“I am a completely different man than I was in 2001. I was lucky enough to have found God in ’99, so my journey was a little easier.”
Beck went on to talk about the path his life has taken over the course of the last 11 years as it relates to family, faith and even his career. He spoke about standing up for what one believes in and said that he does not particularly remember his achievements before 9/11, but that he is “amazed” with all he and others have accomplished since that time. Beck asked listeners to survey the last 11 years of their lives and assess how they have each changed for the better.
For those who haven’t a “long list,” he asked that they begin to think about making those changes now.
Listen below:
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Posted on September 11, 2012 at 5:59pmSeptember 11, 2001 – Setting in my lab having my second cup of java with cable news droning-on in the background, when the news switched to a video feed showing the first tower belching smoke, and the talking-heads postulating a small private plane had hit the World Trade Center.
As I watched, and thought about the B-17 hitting the Empire State building back in the 40′s, a view of the smoking hole in the WTC came into focus and looked to me as something way too large for a ‘small’ plane to have created.
Coworkers came in my lab, one of the few with a TV and cable feed. As we watched the second plane strike, three words came instantly from my mouth – “We’re At War!”
I sent my people home, and suggested they pull their families together, and prepare to be self sufficient for at least a month, but come back tomorrow if our cities are not ablaze.
Eleven years later and we’re still at war. Until we eradicate a large percentage of the practitioners of that odd superstition, and rewrite their book into a new version, we will remain so.
Ten major superstitions on earth is at least one too many. If there’s only one god then there should be no more than one religion. And that, in my mind, is one too many, but I’ll let them all slide – as long as they are not trying to kill me in the name of their idiot god.

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 3:37pmAs I read these comments it occurs to me that some of these folks are so smart that they outsmart themselves. Glenn made changes and now tries to teach people about the reality of the world around them so that they too can make important changes for the better in their lives. He is not the Messiah nor even purports himself to be greater than any other man. He is more about loving and helping one another and he is good at it. Satan is ruler of this world and he believes in god and his son Jesus and knows that his time is short. If you don’t believe the things from the bible, you have made your choice, but in America there are many of us that, instead of belittleing someone for show love and a willingness to edify his neighbors, we would help by giving a hand to those in need that are close to us. Our friends, our neighbors. our children. Jesus said, “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone”. Glenn is an inspiration to the higher human spirit and we can thank our Heavenly Father for that!

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 3:57pmGiving praise to Glenn on 9/11? Shouldn’t your thoughts be with actual victims of 9/11? You’re making Glenn’s ego even larger!

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 2:43pmVery true, but none of the blazers will consider this. They enjoy hearing what they want to hear for the purposes of selling merchandise and tickets to ‘events’ to line Glenn’s pockets. they are blind to see the charlatan snake oil salesman that he really is. For a guy who hates new york and new yorkers so much, he sure can lay it on thick for one day a year.

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 2:44pmThat was an unnecessary post. Glenn has acknowledged about his struggle with alcohol but he has come back a long ways and I am so proud of him. You, Godfather, seem to be full of bitter and hate. Please change your ways and see a beautiful world instead of darkness all the time. Have a good day and God Bless.

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 3:41pmWelcome to reality, godfather…. Beck has been transparent about his past and admits his mistakes. It’s his belief in the concept of redemption and growth that draws others to him, because we can relate to his human experience as well as his love for America.
So your comments are pointless. I suspect it’s not the only thing in your life that is pointless…. =/

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 3:51pmGlenn believes he is a demigod and his ego is so large that on 9/11, he takes time to preach to us about his life instead of focusing on victims and and heroes. No thanks, Glenn. I’m not interested in all your struggles and triumphs since 9/11. They are less important than the struggles and triumphs that the families of victims of 9/11 faced.

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 4:12pmIt’s really quite funny, although unsurprising, to see all you Blazers get your panties in a twist when someone brings up Glenn’s past.
Is it really so surprising that when discussing 9/11 Glenn focuses on himself? Remember, it was not that long ago that Glenn said he hates 9/11 victims’ families. Glenn has an inability to focus on anything but himself. All you Blazers will point to his rally in Dallas as an example of his charity. However, the whole thing was just a big Glenn Beck promotional event. If he was so benevolent and charitable, he wouldn’t constantly remind everyone how charitable he is. For two weeks this site, owned by Glenn Beck, could not stop posting stories about the Dallas Glenntastic Becktacular and how great Glenn Beck is. There was even an article simply about GLENN LISTENING TO THE NATIONAL ANTHEM!
He is a human piece of garbage that does one thing only: promote himself. Years ago he discovered that acting as an evangelical TV host was much more profitable than being a meth addicted morning zoo DJ, and you all eat it up and send him your hard earned cash.

He also said he “Found God” 2 years before; you should listen better, he, and we, ARE PRAISING GOD FOR THE CHANGES HE’S MADE IN GLENN’S LIFE, AND THROUGH HIM, OURS. (That’s how God works, He changes us, and our changed lives, cause others to react either good or bad, considering how we react to God! He uses these changes to change more lives, It’s the “Ripple Effect” which Gave us as a perfect example of how He wants to change the world!)

You see the point? Glenn Beck used 9/11 to congratulate himself. How noble of him!!!

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 2:30pmI remember the day very well. I was in my office when a fellow employee came back and told me about the tower and I quickly turned on my radio. It was a solemn day for all of us in that workplace and in America. We all thought about our families and we wanted to get right home and hug them all. So you may make fun of Glenn but I am not as we all think about where we are and where the victims aren’t here on earth. That was the end of the the segment but the not the end of his show and our lives go on. Live life as this may be the last day of your life.

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 2:00pmcompare this to the New York Times, that now has decided to blame Bush for not reacting to an intel briefing that listed airplane attacks as a possible move by UBL…
the SAME paper that is excoriating the former President for listening to the intel about WMD’s in Iraq after tha fact… the same paper that decries the use of ‘torture’ but lauds BHO for his ‘success’ killing UBL with data obtained by that ‘torture.’
and which gives former President Clinton a pass for not having sufficient intel when he passed on the opportunity to get UBL before the towers fell.
so much for objective journalism… let’s face it, the papers abandoning the expectation of objectivity, and of chasing down the truth on BOTH sides of the aisle is as damaging as the Left’s takeover of the judiciary and the schools because their silence is complicit.
and considering the difference in they way they covered the Iraq war and gas prices under Bush with the way they are covering Afghanistan and gas prices under BHO, they have no foot to stand on in criticizing anyone for not connecting the dots, given what they are willfully ignoring now.
Thanks, Glenn for reminding us what is important on this day, especially.

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 2:36pmYes, Glenn Beck, thank you for reminding us that the most important thing to happen since 9/11 is that you, Glenn Beck, have grown as a human being. Thank you, Glenn Beck, this country would not be where it is today if you, Glenn Beck, had not grown as a human being after 9/11.
Thank you, Glenn Beck, for giving up meth, alcohol, and mocking women who suffered miscarriages. You have really grown as a human being, Glenn Beck.

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 1:47pmWe all changed that day. That day is written on the slate of who we are today. You either stood up and said we will fight or cheered that America was attacked and received what it richly deserved. Which one are you A. James; the fighter or the cheerer?
My guess “the cheerer”.
